"A really fun comedy adventure game"

I've been playing Space Quest One since I was three years old. I love this game, it's my number one favorite game, and I've played a lot of games.

Story
Your name is Roger Wilco, an incompetent janitor, who serves on the space ship Arcadia from the planet Xenon. One day you are cleaning up and get tired so you decide to take a nap in the closet. You are awaken by the sound of alarms, and step out of the closet to discover that your ship has been boarded by Sariens, who have killed almost every member of the crew. You soon find that their mission is to steal a secret project that is being tested in the science lab onboard the Arcadia. Your goal at first is to simply escape without being seen by the Sariens, but you soon find yourself stranded on a remote desert planet and no way home. You must somehow find a way to not only get off of this planet, but take back the project the Sariens stole, and find your way home. A task only our hero Roger Wilco could complete.

Graphics 9/10
Hey its Apple II GS, but the graphics aren't bad! If you've played King's Quest or Police Quest for the Apple II GS then you know what the graphics are like, however if you haven't played those games then it becomes slightly complicated to describe them. They are pretty good, and the game is 3d.

Gameplay 10/10
How do you play this game? say you want to pick up the keycard on the floor, simply press the arrow keys until your next to the item, and then type [Pick up keycard.] Very simple, yet very fun

Replay 7/10
The game is pretty easy, and pretty fun so you will play it again. Maybe not right away, but you will play from start to finish more then once. I may be a little biased, this was the first game I ever played, so I have no problems playing it over and over.

Sound2/10
The sounds in this game are'' doors opening. That's pretty much it. This is an Apple II GS not a G4 Macintosh. You shouldn't expect any great sound, but that isn't why you're playing this game. The sounds are fine, but you won't really know the difference if the sound is off.

Overall:10/10
It is very fun, very good controls, and has good replay value.
I will eat my hat if you don't like this game. It has a good story that you will love playing through, and hey if you get bored you can go to the bar and get drunk! You can even gamble to win more money to buy more beer! Well there is an important reason to gamble, but you can always just buy beer.
