I. Introduction

When I heard about XIII, I was interested in how it was going to play, and
what sort of atmosphere it would have as a cel-shaded first-person shooter.
Many people were sceptical, but I had faith that this game would be good over-
-the-top fun, with a comical appearance. When the demo arrived, I was quite
surprised and quickly downloaded it. Before I played it, I surfed the net,
to see what other people thought of the demo. I was shocked when i saw people
were saying that the 'graphics sucked' and the 'gameplay was shoddy'. So I
opened up XIII and played it for myself. It was fantastic! I am writing this
FAQ so that people can get the most out of this wonderful demo, whether it be
helping them with the technical glitches or getting them through a tough part
of the demo. I hope that this FAQ/Walkthrough helps you in some way.

As a side note, this is my first FAQ, so if it seems a little dodgy, i love
constructive criticism, but no flaming please. :) Here we go...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

II. Story

This is the story of XIII:
(Credit to http://www.xiii-thegame.com/uk/scenario.php)

A man wakes up on a beach. He has no recollection of who he is.

He sets off in search of his past. His only clues are the number 13 tattooed
on his collarbone and the key to a safety-deposit box in one of New York's
most prestigious banks.

The passport he finds in the safe at the bank reveals his identity. His name
is Steve Rowland and he's a captain in the United States army. Moments after
making this discovery, he's arrested by colonel Amos, director of the FBI's
anti-terrorist department and accused of the murder of William Sheridan, the
43rd president of the United States. In evidence, he's shown the enlargement
of a snapshot in which he appears holding a sniper's rifle. The weapon is
aimed at the presidential cortège. Despite this exhibit, in his heart of
hearts he knows he's no murderer. All the same, when killers tried to
eliminate him he was surprised to find he has the reflexes of an elite
commando.

Wanted by all the cops in New York State and hunted down by The Mongoose,
the amnesiac seems doomed to a choice of death or prison. But XIII hasn't
counted on the unexpected assistance of major Jones, a young female soldier
who helps him flee through the city of New York. During their escape, this
foxy lady reveals to XIII that he's a secret agent working for general
Carrington. Carrington is a nonconformist officer who is conducting a
counter-inquiry into the presidential assassination but he was arrested
and confined in an isolated military base in the Appalachian Mountains.

When XIII realizes that general Carrington is the only one who can shed light
on his past, he sets off to find him with Jones.

III. Characters In The Demo (Contains spoilers)

=========<XIII>=========

You play as XIII in the demo. He wakes up on a beach and sees a lifeguard.
Soon she gets pummeled with lead, and XIII is on his own. Later he finds out
that he is being blamed for the 43rd President's death. Deep down he knows
he hasn't murdered the President.

XIII has a "XIII" tattoo on his shoulder but he does not know what it means.
What he does know, is that people are out to kill him, and he will have to
rely on his elite commando skills to survive.

=========<General Carrington>=========

You have to rescue this guy at the end of The Military Base level. He is the
interservice chief of staff of the US and is conducting his own enquiry into
the assassination of the President.

=========<Janet AKA Beach Babe>=========

She appears at the very start of The Beach level. She doesn't have a lot to do
with the plot, as she is shot in the first minute of the game. :D

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IV. Weapons

=========<Beach Level Weapons>=========

Fists - Even without weapons you are still lethal.

Primary Fire - Punches
Secondary Fire - Punches

Strategy - Fists are good to destroy breakable objects, thus saving precious
ammo. If you are really desperate, and have no knives, you can use fists for
combat.

---

Knife - The knife is an ideal weapon for close-quarters combat, and can also
be hurled at enemies. Though be careful, the further you throw, the more
accuracy becomes a problem.

Primary Fire - Throws knife.
Secondary Fire - Stabs knife.

Where to get it - You start the level with the knives.

Strategy - Use this if you have nothing else.... If you throw a knife at a
guard's head, he will die instantly. Make sure he isnt wearing a helmet
though. The stab is also good if it connects with the head.

---

9mm Handgun - The handgun can loose off 13 bullets before you'll need to
reload. If the task at hand requires a little stealth, screw on the silencer.
And for situations when stealth goes out of the window and one gun just isn't
enough, pick up a second and use one in each hand.

Primary Fire - Fires Pistol
Secondary Fire - Attaches silencer (Does not work in demo)

Where to get it - In the beach house that you start in, on a desk.

Strategy - Not as powerful as the 44 Special, but has a larger clip. Make sure
you aim for the head with this weapon, as the enemies will hit you a couple of
times before this weapon will kill them.

---

Kalash - A Russian submachine gun - and a favourite among the mercenaries
working for the conspiracy. A powerful gun which is effective at all ranges.

Primary Fire - Fires Rifle
Secondary Fire - Changes Firing Rate (Auto and Burst)

Where to get it - The guard at the front of the beach house is weilding one of
these. Kill him, and it's yours.

Strategy - This weapon is awesome. Very accurate, very powerful. Pity there is
a lack of ammo for it in the first level. Try and kill the guard at the front
of the beach house before he gets to fire a shot at you, giving you more ammo
for this lovely gun. The recoil is quite unpredictable when on automatic mode, so make sure you
crouch and aim straight with this rate of fire. If possible, save this weapon
for the tougher parts in the game, suitably when there is multiple enemies.

---

44 Special - Dirty Harry's favourite is a ruthlessly effective weapon over
short-to-middling distances. It holds 6 bullets, but if you're in trouble
it's possible to empty the whole lot in one go.

Primary Fire - Fires the pistol, slowly, but accurately.
Secondary Fire - Fires the pistol extremely fast, less accurately.

Strategy - This is an execellent pistol for those who arent the best at
aiming. Because it is so powerful, it can take down enemies in a couple of
shots. It is also nice and accurate for headshots. Because it only has 6
bullets in its clip, make sure each bullets hits the target. If you find you
are being shot and dont have a lot of time, use the secondary fire, its less
accurate, but the shots fire off much faster.

=========<The Military Base Weapons>=========

Grenade - When you pull the pin, a fuse timer inside the grenade starts
ticking. Smart enemies will try to flee when they see a grenade coming, so
be sure to judge the timing of your throw so they don't have time to get out
of the way.

Primary Fire - Pulls pin, release to throw.
Secondary Fire - Pulls pin, release to drop.

Where to get it - You start the level with grenades.

---

Simple Crossbow - With 2 levels of zoom, and a near-silent action the crossbow
is an ideal weapon if subtlety is required. The bow requires a high level of
accuracy, so you'll need to aim carefully. Plus it must be reloaded after
every shot, so make sure you aim for the head and take down your target in
one.

Primary Fire - Fires Crossbow
Secondary Fire - 1st Press - Zooms in - 2nd press - Zooms in further
-3rd press- Returns to normal.

Where to get it - You start the level with this weapon.

Strategy - This is a very good cross bow if you know when to use it. It is
very easy to aim, as long as you are crouching. This will calm you and make
your aim more steady. Once again, aiming for the head is the best bet with
this weapon. Some enemies have helmets, so aim for the neck or heart. In the
walkthrough I will describe when to use this crossbow, against which enemies,
and where you can get ammo. Note: The crossbow is silent, so it is great if
you don't want to be discovered. Make every shot count, as ammo is scarce with
this weapon.

---

Assault Rifle - Similar to the Kalash, the American M16 comes with an
additional grenade launcher that - when used well - can be devastating in
closed areas.

Primary Fire - Fires the rifle.
Secondary Fire - Launches a grenade.

Where to get it - You start the level with this weapon. M16 grenades acquired
later.

Strategy - If you were dissapointed with the lack of ammo for the Kalash, the
Assault Rifle more than makes up for it. A very good weapon overall: large
clip size, fairly accurate, powerful, and it has a deadly grenade launcher
attached to it. Don't spray and pray though, because it chews up the ammo very
fast. Try and burst fire so it doesn't go out of control, and, as usual, aim
for the head. When there are two or more enemies firing at you, it is a good
time to use the grenade launcher. Quite accurate and very powerful, if you can
use this weapon well, you will have no problem in dealing with the opposition.

---

Shotgun - The shotgun is deadly over short ranges. It has a 5 bullet capacity
and a scatter effect which can hit more than one enemy at the same time.

Primary Fire - Fires the shotgun.
Secondary Fire - Butt Shotgun.

Where to get it - An enemy outside of the library will be wielding one of
these, and there will also be one in one of the store rooms.

Strategy - Ahh, the good old shotgun. If your enemy is even mid-distance from
you, don't even bother to use it. Close-up, it can be devastating. Personally,
I would rather the Assault Rifle, but if you are low on ammo, or just love
using the shotgun, it can be quite useful.

Where to get it - In one of the rooms along the way to rescuing General
Carrington. See walkthrough for more details.

Strategy - Not as powerful as the 44 Special, but has a larger clip. Make sure
you aim for the head with this weapon, as the enemies will hit you a couple of
times before this weapon will kill them.

V. Combat Strategies

"But it's only a demo", you say. Well, even though it is a demo, the enemies
are smart, and they are powerful. This section will list some combat
strategies and describe them. Hopefully players can try them all out, and
see which one suits them best.

=========<Rambo Stylez>=========

Many people will start playing this game with an idea that they can rush in,
shoot madly, and come out unscathed. This does _not_ work in XIII. Although
it isn't completely realistic, bullets will not "scratch your armour", they
will kill you. However, you are still able to to go 'Rambo Stylez' as long as
you know when to attack, and when to retreat. If there are five enemies in
front of you, obviously you would not go in guns blazin'. The wise option
would be to throw a grenade or take them out one by one. If there are only one
or two enemies in front of you, you have a good chance of taking them down as
long as you aim well, and keep moving.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Keep moving. A moving target is always harder to hit.
2. Use the right weapon for the job.
3. Don't underestimate your enemies.
4. Don't think you have GodMode on.
5. No when to retreat!

=========<Stealth Stylez>=========

Unfortunately, some levels do not allow a stealthy approach, but most of them
do. Of course, using a silenced weapon is a must, and staying out of sight is
wise too. Use the cover around you to hide from the enemies, and make use of
the 'taps' that the enemy makes when he or she is walking. Knowing where the
enemy is helps a lot, and there are several ways of doing this. You may not be
able to see around corners, but you can definitely hear behind them. Use all
your senses to have an advantage over your enemy. Also, taking out your
enemies from afar is a lot easier than close combat. If you do not have
patience, I do not recommend this combat strategy.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Use silenced weapons.
2. Stay out of site.
3. Use sound and 'taps' to distinguish where enemies are.
4. Use cameras that can show what enemy patrol routes are.
5. Use a long-distance weapon (Simple Crossbow) to take out enemies.
6. Have patience.

=========<Combination Stylez>=========

This is simply a combination of rambo and stealth stylez. To use this style,
the player needs to know when to be aggressive, and when to be stealthy. To
get this combination right, it takes a lot of practise, a couple of runs
through the level, and a deep understanding of weapons and objects in the XIII
world.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Use stealth and power in the appropriate situations.
2. Use the right weapons for the style you are using.
3. Get to know the properties of each of the weapons.
4. Study the level.
5. Use your surroundings to your advantage.
6. Know your enemy.

=========<Tactical Stylez>=========

Some people like to create the situation in which they are fighting in. This
may mean they lure an enemy somewhere, a trap, for example. It may mean that
they would sneak past an enemy, only to come back and shoot him in the back.
Basically, it is the use of tactics that gives you the advantage over your
enemies. This style suits the imaginitive person that likes to create certain
factors that aid them in battle, or the person who wants to use a bit more
grace than the 'Rambo style', but doesn't have the patience of a stealth
player.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Lure enemies into your chosen battlefield.
2. Explosives can be used as traps.
3. Attacking an enemy from behind is a smart idea.
4. Be imaginitive and try new things.
5. Don't take risks, make sure you are in control.

=========<Sniper/Accuracy Stylez>=========

This combat strategy makes use of the simple crossbow and the 9mm handgun.
Both weapons require accuracy. You can use the crossbow for long range attacks
and the handgun for close combat. Remember, if you do not hit the enemy in the
head, you're in a lot of trouble. This is quite a hard style, and you may want
to use the 'Stealth Style' before tackling this one.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Using stealth is crucial.
2. Aim for the head.
3. Be aware of your surroundings.
4. Practise with the simple crossbow and the 9 mm pistol.
5. The 44 Special is OK, but the slow rate of fire and small clip size makes
the 9mm slightly better for the job.

=========<Demolition Stylez>=========

Same as the 'Rambo Stylez', only relies more on grenades and the M16 grenade
launcher. Ammo is scarce, so make sure each explosive counts. If out of
explosives, use an automatic weapon. Learn to be accurate with grenades,
accounting for the lob, and synchronize the use of the M16 and its grenade
launcher for a well-rounded style. Know where your enemies are, and make sure
you place a grenade where it will do the most damage. Also, priming the
grenade is important so that enemies do not have time to run away.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Use explosives wisely.
2. Learn when to use an automatic, and when to launch a grenade.
3. Place the grenade where it will do the most damage.
4. Practise with the grenades to learn at what angle to throw them.
5. Know where the enemy is, and time the grenade accordingly.
6. Prime the grenade so that the enemy does not have time to run away.

=========<Object Kill Stylez>=========

This is a very fun style. This style relies on the objects that you can pick
up and break/throw on/at enemies. There is nothing like picking up a glass
shard and throwing at a guards forehead, killing him in one shot. Sneaking up
on guards with a bottle in your hand is also exciting. And for all you
wrestling fans, picking up a chair and wacking a guard with it is also
possible. As a matter of fact, this style can supplement any of the previous
styles, even the stealth style. Remember this though: Objects aren't always
an instant kill, and XIII is a human, so he cannot throw objects extremely
long range.

The main points for this combat strategy are:
1. Use this style with your own personal style.
2. Aim for the head. Careful, helmets will stop headshots.
3. Sometimes using an object in some situations is useless. Only use an object
when you know it will succeed.
4. Gradually the object that is being thrown will succumb to gravity and fall
to the ground.
5. Using an object does not waste your ammo, so use them when you know you
can.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VI. Walkthrough

<If you see anything I've missed, or would like to add something, email me on
mdl@iinet.net.au>

I will be very detailed in this walkthrough, because there is only two levels.
This means every enemy, item, objects and weapon will be included.

=========<The Beach Level>=========

You start off with blurred vision, and it turns out a lifeguard has pulled you
off of the beach. Suddenly, assassins come to the beach house and riddle her
with lead. (Poor Girl). Anyways, you have more important things to think
about, mainly your life. So, you grab her key, and some throwing knives. A guy
is at the front door with a Kalash, so dont go out there until you're ready.
Instead, go to the back, pick up the 9mm Handgun on the desk and some ammo.
Right about now, another 'bad guy' should be coming around the back of the
beach house. You can either throw a knife at his head, stab his head, or shoot
his head, it is your choice. I would stab him because you wouldn't use your
9mm ammo, and it just looks cool. :P Pick up the fallen guard's 44 Special,
grab the box of 44 ammo on the bench, then re-enter the beach house. There are
a few more items in the beach house, such as a key and some more throwing
knives. When you are ready, peer through the front door and throw a knife
right at the guard's head. Before leaving the beach house, search the room for
a first aid compartment which will yield a medkit. Turn to the front door and
use the key to exit the beach house.

Once outside, walk forward and then turn right at the first intersection. A
helicopter will drop two guards off at the dock. Dispose of them with the 44
Special, then pick up their ammo, which should be 9mm. The helicopter may
shoot at you, so keep moving. Scale the left wall of the dock to find a first
aid compartment with a full medkit. At the end of the dock, a guy called Frank
will message Janet, who is unfortunately dead. Listen if you want, and then
turn back and continue along the jetty.

Now is a good time to switch to your 9mm Handgun. As you walk up the
boardwalk, an enemy will show himself on top of a cliff directly in front of
you. Aim for his head, and when he is dead he will fall onto the boardwalk
where you can take his 44 ammo. Keep walking along the boardwalk, killing
enemies and picking up their ammo. Eventually you will see a speedboat and a
bald guy yelling stuff like "I want that safe key!". Two guards will show
themselves ahead of you now, but they should pose no problem. Head further,
and you'll come to another dock with boats. Turn left at the yellow boat, and
kill the guard that jumps out of the helicopter. Pick up his 44 ammo. Hop into
the yellow boat to get a medkit. Head back and turn left. Another guy will
jump out of the helicopter a fair way from where you are now. Run up to him,
take him down, and take his 44 ammo. You should see a car as you walk onto
land. Whip out your Kalash, as the last guard will pop out of a building and
attack you here. When he is disposed of, grab his ammo and key, go behind the
building for some 44 ammo, and go to the left door of the blue car and use the
key. Well done! You completed the first mission. But it's gonna get a lot
harder...

=========<The Military Base>=========

From where you start, move along the vent, turn left and smash the grate with
your FIST! Using your fist does not waste ammo. At the intersection, take a
left and then turn at your first right. You should now be in a long vent, with
grates on the left side, that let you peer ino a room. Continue forward, until
you come up to a breakable grate on the left side. Smash it, and enter the
room. Whatever you do, don't go through the door into the hallway. Not yet.
Take a look at your surroundings. Books are everwhere, so lets call this room
the library. A white box should have directed you to a surveillance unit on a
desk. Move over to it, and aim your cursor at it. A little window should
appear, showing what the hallway next door looks like. As you can probably
see, there are quite a few guards in the hallway. Study there patterns if you
want, and then get ready for battle. You have two option here:

---

1. Open the door, M16 at the ready, and take down any guards you can see.
Other guards will come running at the noise, but you should be OK. Remember,
keep moving, take the fallen guard's ammo and AIM FOR THE HEAD! If you do not
hit a guard's chest, you will be able to pick up his light vest, which can
save your bacon numerous times.

2. Open the door but don't go through it. Go to the left side of the door
fram, and peer right. You should see a guard, fairly far away. Whip out your
simple crossbow, and take him out, in the head. Don't move though, soonly a
guard will come over and see the body. This is the hard part. You have to
shoot this guard's head while he is looking at the body. If not, he will look
up, see you and shoot, which is not good. You may have to practise this a
couple of times, so if you stuff up, just restart the level. After those two
guards are down. There will be two more down the other end of the hall.
Look at your surveillance unit, and run to the two dead guards' bodies, WHEN
you know that the other two alive guards aren't facing that direction. Good
luck. From where you are now, you should be able to snipe another guard, then
just take the other one out with the M16. Remember to take the ammo and light
vests from the fallen guards.

3. There are a lot of object weapons in this hallway. They include glass
shards, glass bottles, and chairs. If you want to have some fun, see how many
kill you can get by using these objects.

---

OK, now you should have killed four guards in this hallway. There is one more
to go. Down at the south side of the hallway, there will be a corner. Run out
and there will be a guard crouched down ready to shoot. Take him down, and
pick up his goods. You should see an elevator, but don't go up it yet. There
are quite a few items to get in the numerous store rooms in this hallway.

First, check the 02 store room for a grenade. Check the 03 store rooms for
a couple of grenades and an M16. Opposite, the 02 store rooms, is a door.
Open it and you will be in a toilet room. There is a shotgun leaning against
a cubicle; pick that up. You can open up the toilet doors if you like, but
nothing is inside them. After you've cleared that room, go to the room that is
opposite the 03 store rooms. It will be a dark room with a bed. You should
be able to find a cupboard. Open both sides up to find a light vest, and a
light helmet (Yay!). Right, only two more rooms to go. They are both at the
end of the hallway, where the elevator is. Once you get to the door, open it,
and you'll be in this steamy room with boxes. Climb the boxes, to find a
medkit. Exit that room, and enter the final one in the hallway. There is a
Simple Crossbow on the left side of the room, and on one of the shelves, there
is a medkit. BEFORE you take the elevator up, make sure to go PAST it, turn
right, and you should see some crates stacked. Go behind them to find three
M16 grenades. Now take the elevator up.

You will see someone get shot as you go up. Exit the elevator, walk past the
dead body, and stop behind the three panels. The assassin will kill another
guy in a glass protected room, and you will spot a passport. Stay behind the
panels, as a guard will walk up a hall directly behind them. As he turns to
go back down the hall. Whip out your Simple Crossbow move to the right of the
panels, and snipe his head. Pick up the items he drops. There is a guard
walking up and down the hall on the other side of the glass protected room.
You can either M16 him, grenade him, or snipe him, if you have the ammo.
There are no other guards in this room. There might be some ammo on a crate,
check just in case. Down the other end of the room, there is a door you can't
get through. Instead, climb up the boxes, near the door, and smash the grate
open. Move through, climb up the ladder, and a conversation will start. Keep
climbing. At the very top move to the right to get off and move along this
corridor, until you get to another breakable grate. Break it, and you will
come to an electrical shaft, with a hook attached to the ceiling. First puzzle
of the game. All you have to do, is select your hook, aim it at the large
hook, and fire. Now, grapple down by right-clicking. Be careful of the
electricity, it will kill you instantly. The idea is to quickly grapple down,
while the electricity is off. Do not go all the way down though, there are two
guards waiting to ambush you. There is a guard on the floor, and a guard on
the balcony. So you're at the bottom of the shaft attached to a hook. Get your
M16 ready and let go of the hook (keypress e) and land on the floor guard when
he is directly underneath you. Then look for the balcony guard, and let loose
with the lead.

Go through the orange door, into the glass protected room that you saw
earlier. A guard will shoot at you from outside the room, but dont worry,
the glass is bulletproof. Grab the magnetic card and a grenade. Exit the room,
and walk over to the magnetic door in the shaft room. Use it, but don't walk
through the door. Three guards are waiting for you. Chuck a grenade or two
outside the door, a and then clean up any of the living guards. Pick up there
stuff and use the magnetic card on the magnetic door in this room. You should
be in a room where theres a blue side of the room. Watch the doorframe in the
blue side, for two guard will walk through. M16 them. Pick up all the items in
the room and move forward.

If you go to the right, you'll come to a bathroom which has a full medkit,
but you won't be able to reach that yet. Instead, go left. Turn into the
double door, and kill the three guards in this large room with lots of beds.
Shouldn't be too hard, none of them have helmets. This is a great room. There
is a shotgun, in the middle. Open all of the gray cabinets, and get medkits,
a 9mm handgun, M16 grenades, grenades and anything else that the guards have
dropped. If you have lowe health at the moment, it is wise to use one or two
to get you health at 100%. There is also a door that leads to a toilet room
in this room. Check it out if you're interested. When you're done, exit the
room.

Enter the door at the end of the corridor. There are no enemies in the next
room. As you can see, there are a lot of boxes leading up to a breakable
grate. Break it, and climb through. At the first intersection, take a right,
and continue through the vent, breaking grates along the way. Eventually, you
will come out at one of the toilet rooms you have recently visited. When you
drop down from the vent, pick up the full medkit that is on the toilet. Exit
the toilet room and make your way back to the vent. This time at the
intersection, take a left. A strange flashback may play as you go through the
vent. Continue moving through the vent, until you come to a room where a
guard is watching the door. Punch the breakable grate and silently drop down
to the floor. Take the guard out however you want. Turn to General Carrington
and unlock his cell. He will pick up his cigars, and ask you to take care of
a guard. You may have already killed him. Either way, General Carrington will
rush out of the room, and you will have to cover him. To the left of the door
will be about four guards, so this is a great time to use the M16 Grenade
Launcher. If your health is getting low, run back into the cell room, and
use a medkit or two. Pick up the guards guns and ammo, so you yourself dont
run out. When all of the guards are dead, follow Carrington. As you walk into
the corridor, two windows will pop up showing guards. Eliminate both of them,
and Carrington will continue to lead. He will go right at the intersection,
but you can go left and check out a room. Unfortunately, it holds no items.
Anyway, keep following carrington, until you see him standing at the cable
car station access. Walk over to him and you have completed the level.

CONGRATULATIONS! You have beaten the demo of XIII.

Now either use some cheats to make the demo more exciting, or consult the
'Fun things to do' section.

   kill you instantly. Also note that there are 2 guards at the bottom of
   that shaft.

Q: I'm trying to play the demo, but everytime I run it it loads the XIII start
   up... then it goes black, if I alt-tab it and look at it's box it has the

MORE CHEAT CODES
Enable Console Cheats in user.ini
Look in your user.ini and look for "CheatsEnabled" and set it to true. You can
also set numerous options by editing unreal2.ini file, such as unlimited
ammo...

Editing user.ini
Listed bellow are tweaks you can make to the user.ini
(located in the game/system folder). Add the following keybindings to the
User.ini file for easier use of the weapons.

F1=BeMyMonkey
F2=God
F3=Allammo
F6=ToggleBehindView

Then, go to the Numberpad bindings and change to this:

NumPad0=sum u2weapons.weaponpistol
NumPad1=sum u2weapons.weaponSingularityCannon
NumPad2=sum u2weapons.weaponFlamethrower
NumPad3=sum u2weapons.weaponLeechgun
NumPad4=sum u2weapons.weaponLaserRifle
NumPad5=sum u2weapons.weaponGrenadeLauncher
NumPad6=sum u2weapons.weaponRocketLauncher
NumPad7=sum u2weapons.weaponTakkra
NumPad8=sum u2weapons.weaponShotgun
NumPad9=sum u2weapons.weaponSniperRifle

I also have these set up in mine...

L=Sum U2Weapons.ammoGrenadeEMP
J=Sum U2Weapons.ammoGrenadeIncendiary
K=Sum U2Weapons.ammoGrenadeToxic
O=Sum U2Weapons.ammoGrenadeConcussion
P=Sum U2Weapons.ammoGrenadeFragment
U=Sum U2Weapons.ammoGrenadeSmoke

With the above bindings added to the user.ini you get the following:

F1 - Enables Cheats
F2 - Turns on and off God Mode
F3 - Max's out your Ammo
F5 - Enables 3rd Person View

Number Pad 0 - Spawns the Magnum Pistol
Number Pad 1 - Spawns the BlackHole cannon (kills everything with 1 shot)
Number Pad 2 - Spawns the FlameThrower (lovely gun, I really like it)
Number Pad 3 - Spawns the Leechgun (little spiders all over your enemy, if
your aim is good)
Number Pad 4 - Spawns the LaserRifle (kinda like a railgun, but has a alt
fire)
Number Pad 5 - Spawns the Grenade Launcher (go blow some s**t up, alt fire
changes the grenade type)
Number Pad 6 - Spawns the RocketLauncher (better then most, really cool alt
fire)
Number Pad 7 - Spawns the Takkra (You just have to see it to believe it)
Number Pad 8 - Spawns the Shotgun (just what it says, alt fire uses incendiary
rounds)
Number Pad 9 - Spawns the SniperRifle (get you some long distance loving
today)

The ones listed below are the different grenades for the grenade launcher:

area)

X. Review

=========Introduction=========

I've been waiting for this game for a long time. So when the demo came out I
was there. When I played it, I was amazed by its stylish graphics, atmosphere,
and realistic weapons. The sound was great, the gameplay was rocking, and
overall, I thought this was a great demo.

=========Graphics=========

XIII is the first shooter with cel-shading. And it looks amazing. The graphics
are crisp, with a great comical appeal to them. It does not make the game seem
'kiddy' for there is lots of blood, the weapons look mean, and the graphics
aren't always bright and colourful. The only problem that I have noticed with
the graphics is that some lines can appear blurred, but this really has no
effect, as mostly everything is really crisp.

Sub total = 9/10

=========Sound=========

The tunes that play are really, really good. They are very upbeat, and make
you pumped. The music tends to pick up as enemies are near, so it gives that
sense of urgency that makes this game so fun. All the sound effects are
top-notch too. Whether its footsteps of the guards, grenades going off, or
bullets whizzing past your head, it creates atmosphere and adds a touch of
realism. XIII is also based on mystery, and the demo has great mysterious
music when it came to interesting parts in the story, or when you had to use
stealth to get past enemies. Also, the sound in this game is represented in
a comical form, which really supports the comic book look.

Sub total = 9/10

=========Gameplay=========

There are a lot of things to do in XIII. You can throw objects such as
bottles, chairs, glass shards and ash trays. You can snipe people, and have
a three panel storyboard of where your bolt hit. There are quite a few
weapons, and each has a secondary fire. The guards have great Artificial
Intelligence and will kick your ass if you dont know what you're doing.
There are hit zones, so a headshot is a one hit kill. The enemies yell out
things when they get shot, and it is written in comical fashion on top of
there heads. The story is very good and really makes you want to play more.
But above all, the best things about this game is the comical atmosphere.
It is so much different from any other FPS, that it is refreshing to play,
and it doesn't seem like it's all been done before.

Sub total = 10/10

=========Replayability=========

Even though it is a demo, there is still a lot of replayability. Because it
is so original and fun, you can play it over and over again. Even if you
do get a little bored, you can use some fun cheats or do some of the fun
things in the demo.

8/10

Overall I think this demo is very fun, and I recommend it to anyone who is
getting bored with the average FPS and need something to spice their gaming
life up.

Overall Total = 9/10
