                           for Chapter 6.
March 26th - Version 0.9: Bah, so close to the first finished draft. Due to
some new rules in my household, I won't have the
final draft until next weekend... So far I've gotten
just about everything done except mission 17 and 19,
and a few other tidbits that I still need to add.

One thing I'm working my tail off in the FAQ is: making it easy to navigate
and read, making it interesting to read, and giving thorough and detailed
descriptions on every aspect of the game. I apologize right here in advance
if some of the FAQ is difficult to comprehend. I write the FAQ as I'm
thinking, then I go back and look over to see, if what I just wrote, makes
any sense whatsoever. So that is what I'm striving to achieve in this FAQ.
I hope this becomes your little oasis in the uncut and brutal battlefield
that is Normandy.

NOTE: that this walkthrough in a guide through the "Normal" difficulty level.
And when I say in the FAQ to "Flank the group of enemies" or something along
those lines, I mean get to the side or behind them and shoot them.

This FAQ is divided into chapters, and those chapters are divided into
subsections. I've made landmarks all across the FAQ, so you can quickly
navigate it, and find what your looking for instead of all the other crap in
the FAQ. Here is a list of what everything represents, a 'Key' so to speak.

=======: The 'equal' signs that go all across the page, show where a chapter
begins and where one ends.

-------: The 'dash' signs that go all across the page, represent where a
subsection begins and ends.

=+=+=+=: The 'equal plus" signs that go all across the page, represent where
the actual FAQ/Walkthrough begins, because I know that is what people are
looking for in this FAQ.

Also, the FAQ title/end and each subsection have a ASCII art to represent the
start of it. I think this FAQ will be much easier to navigate, with big
signs telling you where you are in the FAQ; instead of obscure little letters
telling you where you are, as I see in other FAQs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the game 'Brothers in Arms', you play as Sgt. Matt Baker and throughout
the game you will control several different squads throughout the game. From
controlling a Fire Team to a Sherman Tank, there is a small variety of units
to control; and sometimes it's hard to understand what exactly a unit does
when the game suddenly hurls it at you. Well....

Fire Team
---------
Your Fire Team is the first team you are gifted with in the game. They are
good for firing and suppressing the enemy. You basically want them to be your
bullet magnets.

Stuart Tank
-----------
This unit is fantastic against regular infantry enemies and MG42 nests.
It's not so great with fighting other tanks, however. DO NOT get him within
range of an anti-tank gun however. If you do, he'll be dead meat before you
can even run away. This units can die within two shots from any anti-tank
weapon, so it is crucial that you take out any anti-tank guns, panzerfausts,
etc before moving on.

Assult Team
-----------
Great for flanking and assulting. They are equipped with light machine guns
and grenades. They are also faster than your Fire Team. Not so great for
suppressing, however.

Sherman Tank
------------
This is by far the best unit in the game. Great against any unit. Can kill
enemy tanks in one on one battles and can take on any infantry units, except
for Anti-Tank guns of course.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One important thing about Brothers in Arms is using actual military tactics,
to beat your enemy. The only that is highly stressed in this game is the
'Spot him, fix him, flank him, and finish him' tactic. While this is the most
important and most used tactic in the game, there are others out there. Let
me explain...

When fighting enemy groups/infantry...
--------------------------------------
The most common way to beat these guys is using the flanking manuver. What
about the times where there is no cover to flank the enemy groups? Well, one
way to beat them is by charging them. Use a team to suppress the enemy and
make sure they stay heavily suppressed. Once suppressed, move in slowly and
work your way over to their side and either throw a grenade, or shoot them.

Another way to beat them is by charging with tanks. Tanks are impervious to
small-arms fire and can assult their position unhindered. They CANNOT assult
enemy anti-tank guns, however. You will have to take those out with your
infantry.

When fighting tanks...
----------------------
Three ways you can beat tanks. You can either hit them with rockets a lot,
send a tank of your own to fight them, or my favorite way, throwing a grenade
down their door hatch. The latter of the three is the quickest and most
effective way to kill them, but you often won't have grenades on levels where
tanks are present. Note that tanks have the most armor in the front, so it
will take many more shots with a anti-tank weapon to kill it, than if you hit
it from the side or behind.

When fighting MG42 nests...
---------------------------
The tough thing about fighting MG42 nests is that they can't be suppressed
by your Fire or Assult teams, only tanks can. Most of the times your face
MG42's, you won't have a tank. The best way to beat them is either getting
in close and chugging a grenade in their sandbags, charging them with a tank,
or flanking them. The latter of the three is really the most effective.

                         -=Chapter 4: Allies and Enemies=-

                     \/_/\/_/\/____/\/____/ \/_/\/____/\/___/

I will talk about the allies and friends you meet in the game, as they appear
in the game. They are all known as 'The Baker's Dozen'.

Sgt. Baker
----------
Why that's you! In Brothers in Arms, you play as Matt Baker, a poetic adult,
who doesn't want to be squad leader, but does a pimptastic job at it. Good
leader and has a badass voice, but doesn't talk that much in basic
interaction with other people. The only time he does pipe up is before each
level where he tells a sad story or his thoughts on the war.

Plt. Sgt. Hassay
----------------
He's your superior in the game! He loves to run away and hide, right
when the fighting starts; and as Legget put it, "Just orders me to tell stuff
to Headquarters". Another thing he loves to do, is appear out of nowhere,
the second the fighting ends. With the exception of the few missions he
actually participates in and usually, just hides behind you and your men and
does nothing. Quite the leader, isn't he?

Pfc. Legget
-----------
He's the dude with the glasses! Besides being Mac's fido, he's also annoying
and everyone hates him! Oh, and he's the radio guy that you hardly ever see
as well. But seriously, in my personal opinion, he is the most useless and
dumbest person in the game. I really have nothing positive to say about him.

Lt. Colonel Cole
----------------
He's the biggest badass in the game! Why you may ask? Because he was an actual
person! Ll. Colonel Cole did everything in real life, that he did in the game.
He recieved the "Congressional Medal of Honor" for his daring and courageous
stunt at the level "Cole's Charge". Unfortunately, he never actually recieved
the medal. He died from a sniper bullet, while taking a bridge at Best,
Holland. (That might be a spoiler for the sequel to this game, so sorry in
advance.)

Cpl. Hartsock
-------------
He's the leader of your Fire Team in Brothers in Arms. He's a good leader and
he's pretty funny to boot. Good character all around. He's one of the few
members of your squad that is with you in the beginning, and all the way to
the end.

Pvt. Allen
----------
He's apart of your Fire Team and is all around a good soldier. He has a strong
'emotional bond' with Garnett, that gets a little creepy after a while. But
no worries! He doesn't talk to much, never gets in your way, and does what
he's told. A good soldier all around.

Pvt. Garnett
------------
He's also apart of your Fire Team and is never seen seperated from Allen.
Like Allen, he is also a all around good soldier and does what he's told.

George Risner
-------------
He's Baker's best friend in the whole world! He commands the stuart tank for
two missions in the game and offers invaluable help when he is helping you.

Cpl. Corrion
------------
He is you Assult Team leader. He can be pretty stupid AI wise. I find that he
almost gets shot, out of dumb AI, as much as Hartsock does! Pretty cool
personality at least.

Pvt. Desola
-----------
He's your resident Italian! Every WWII movie, game, or book has an Italian in
it! Besides that, he is apart of your Assult Team as well, and can be pretty
dumb AI wise as well.

Jackson
-------
He controls the Sherman tank for two missions in the game!

Pvt. Zanovich
-------------
He is a replacement for your Fire Team. Not much to say about him personality
wise. He's alright I suppose, good soldier. Serves his purpose.

Pvt. Obrieski
-------------
Also a replacement for your Fire Team. Not much else to say...

Pvt. McCleary
-------------
He is added on to your Assult Team in the later half of the game. Well...
Baker thinks he is an a-hole. So that's that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                     _______ _

Conscripts
----------
Also known as 'Osstupers', these are the worst amoung your enemies. They are
basically drafted troops, from countries that the Third Reich took over. They
have the poorest aim and the lest equipment. You will find these enemies
in the beginning levels of the game.

Infantry
--------
This is the bulk of the German army. They are pretty well trained, and react
faster and smarter to situations, than conscripts. You will find them mostly
in the core middle missions of the game.

Panzergrenadiers
----------------
These guys are much better trained than the infantry and work closely with
tanks. They have better aim and tend to be very grenade friendly.

Fallschirmajager
----------------
"Fallschirmsjäger (German for paratrooper) is not part of Waffen-SS. They
belong to Luftwaffe. I haven't come as far yet, but I think that the Panzer
Grenadiers are Waffen-SS." - Magnus

These are the best the German army has to offer. They are basically the German
paratroopers. They have the best aim, and react the quickest and brightest.

                             -=Chapter 5: Weapons=-

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

M1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol
---------------------------
It's the first weapon you get in the game! It's pretty much useless compared
to any other weapon in the game. But it is stylish to take an enemy out with.

M1 Carbine Semi-Automatic Rifle
-------------------------------
It's the second weapon you get in the game! This is my personal favorite
weapon in the game. It magazine size is 15 bullets, it is very accurate, and
light. It's more powerful and has a longer range than the American pistol.

M1 Garand Semi-Automatic Rifle
------------------------------
It's the third weapon you get in the game! This is the rifle that you start
out with for most of the missions throughout the game. It's reliable, carries
a lot of ammo, and is very powerful and accurate. My only complaint is that
it's magazine size is 8 bullets. Expect to be doing a lot of reloading.

M1A1 Submachine Gun
-------------------
4th weapon you get in the game. Also known as the 'Thompson Submachine Gun',
this is a great flanking weapon. It is fully automatic and quite powerful.
My only complaint is that it run out of ammo quite quickly, so use it
sparingly. It works best close range.

M1903 Bolt-Action Rifle
-----------------------
It's time for some BOLT-ACTION! This gun is the most powerful among all the
guns in the game for killing infantry. It is a one hit kill and has a scope!
While your chances to use it are rare, it is great for killing enemies that
are behind cover. It's only downfall is that you have to cock the bolt on
the rifle whenever you shoot (BOLT-ACTION!). When your reloading, you have to
put each bullet in the magazine seperately. These factors make this gun,
powerful and accurate, but slow.

M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle
------------------------------
Also known as the BAR. It is a great weapon for just about anything. It can
suppress, it can flank, it's powerful and accurate. It also has a fantastic
clip size and you can carry a lot of ammo for it. It's only real downfall I
can see about it, is that it's heavy. A great weapon all around.

M9A1 Bazooka
------------
You only get one chance to use this weapon in the game and it is frustrating
and difficult to use when you actually do. Besides that, it carries a lot
of ammo and has a reasonable clip size. It is good for killing tanks and
infantry behind cover. It does take more time to load than any other weapon,
however.

Mark II A1 Fragmentation Grenade
--------------------------------
It's a grenade! It goes boom when you throw it! Just be sure to throw it far
enough because you don't want to catch any shrapnel. It is great for
suppressing an enemy behind cover, and killing them. You can also instantly
kill tanks with these. Only problem is, you only carry a few of these each
level. There are many levels where you don't have any. Use them sparingly.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walther P38 Semi-Automatic Pistol
---------------------------------
"This is not the Luger. The Lugers real name was Parabellum P08 Luger. The P38
is a much newer and better military pistol. James Bond used a third German
German pistol used in WWII (mostly by the police and GESTAPO), the Walther
PPK. And The P38 has 8 rounds, which is one round more than the Colt M1911."
- Magnus

That sounds right.

Mauser K98 Rifle
----------------
Very strong and reliable rifle. Great for picking off enemies from behind
cover. It is basically a sniper rifle without a scope. It acts the same way.

MP40 Sub-Machine Gun
--------------------
A very strong and accurate gun. This gun also carries more ammo and has a
bigger clip size than the Thompson. I prefer it over the Thompson.

MP44 Sturmgewehr Assault Rifle
------------------------------
This gun sort of resembles the the modern MP5, which was also made in Germany.
It is unaccurate, but packs quite a punch. It carries a lot of ammo and has
a good clip size. Great for suppressing the enemy.

KAR 98k Rifle with Scope
------------------------
AKA a sniper rifle! It's title explains it, a mauser with a scope. Powerful,
accurate, but slow to reload.

Panzerfaust 60 Rocket Laucher
-----------------------------
It's good for killing tanks! You only get two opportunities to use it in the
game, but they sure are handy when you do! They are like the bazooka, but
they only carry one rocket. Isn't that efficient!?

Stielhandgranate 24 HE Stick Grenade
------------------------------------
AKA a potato masher! It's a grenade, it goes boom when thrown, but you can't
use them! The Germans can, and you better run like hell when they throw them.
They have a pretty big blast radius so better find good cover.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

M5A1 Stuart Tank
----------------
These tanks where sent into Normandy from Utah beach at D-Day. They have very
light armor plating and are mainly used for killing infantry behind cover.
If they enemy happens to have an anti-tank weapon, just back your tank down.
This tank is great for killing MG42 nests and any other basic enemy.

M4A1 Sherman Tank
-----------------
These make up the bulk of the Allied armor in Europe. They have think armor
plating and are very reliable in any combat situation. Good for killing
anything, even anti-tank positions.

The game starts out with your character Sgt Matt Baker, rambling about how he
doesn't want to be squad leader.

You then wake up in the midst of the battle. It seems to be showing some of
the final moments in the game at the very beginning, as to show you what your
going to go through in the game. In this skirmish your can shoot at the enemy
Germans across the line. Just shoot at the Germans to get a feel for the
controls. One guy will be calling for Armor support support, while another
is crying over a dead comrade's body.

A enemy tank will come out of nowhere and inevitably shoot a missile at your
face. The blast knocks you down and the radio guy goes crazy and tries to
shoot the Germans with his pistol. He is then shot and killed (wow he deserved
that). You will then be knocked out again.

Somewhere over Normandy
D-Day 0115 June 6, 1944

After some more whining by Baker, you will now appear in a plane, getting
ready to drop into Normandy. You jump out and your gear is lost in the impact.
After slowly drifting to ground, follow the arrow in the bottom left corner
of the screen. You have to jump over a fallen tree by pressing A; and duck
under a fallen tree by pressing down of the right control stick.

Run down the path until you make it to your superior, Mac. He will give you a
pistol and your objective is to follow his orders.

Follow him and he will stop at a wall. He will shout "Now!" and start firing
on two Germans beyond the wall. Once they are dead Mac will try and figure out
where the hell you two are. He fails and he will tell you to follow him.

Follow him eventually you will find two other paratroopers, Lt. Cole and
Legget (the guy that got deservingly shot in the last level). Cole will
attempt to talk to this French lady in a house, but he doesn't know French.
So Legget who 'says he knows a little French, but speaks perfect French with
an accent to boot'; will ask the lady where you are. Apparently she tells
Legget you are Northwest of Carentan. Cole will go and try to rally more
paratroopers, while you, Mac, and Legget continue to kill Germans.

Your orders remain, you are to obey Mac's orders. Follow him and Legget
closely; and they will eventually stop at some hedges. The game will then go
into detail about explaining the "Situational Awareness Mode". Basically this
mode takes you into an overhead view, where you can see everything in the
general area. You can see the specific locations of your enemies and allies
and where your destination is. This is extremely handy in analyzing combat
situations and looking to see if there is a good flanking position behind the
enemy.

Once the little tutorial ends. Run up to the wall nearest you and fire like
crazy on the Germans on the opposite wall. Your objective here is to suppress
the Germans (the little circle above their head will turn completely grey when
you do) so Mac can flank them from the side and kill them. Keep on firing at
the Germans and keep them suppressed long enough for Mac to kill them.

After this little skirmish, more Germans will come out in the distance.
Follow Legget till he stops and run up behind the haystack. Shoot the Germans
and Legget will whine some and Mac pimpslaps him. While this is going on,
pick up their the Mauser rifle from their corpses and continue to follow Mac.

Keep following him until you reach a farmhouse where some Germans are. Mac
and Legget will suppress them, so move along the left side of the house until
you come within flanking distance. Shoot them and continue.

Follow Mac until you see the first Anti-Aircraft gun. The Germans working
the AA gun won't notice you, and when they do, they don't even take cover.
It's basically just a turkey shoot. Shoot them all and blow up the AA gun with
the 'X' button.

Keep on following Mac and you will come up to another farmhouse. Mac and
Legget will prove their usefulness by hiding by a gate and not doing anything.
So shoot the poorly covered German standing behind the cart and move into the
farmhouse just ahead. Shoot the two Conscripts in here. At this moment, Mac
and Legget will burst open the gate and open fire on the next AA gun.

There are two groups of Germans in this area. One near the AA gun, another to
the left. Flank the enemies on the left, then flank the AA gunners. Blow up
the AA gun and talk to Mac to end the mission.

Near Utah Beach, France
D-Day 0700 June 6, 1944

It's now June 6th and it's mourning. You start off talking to Mac and Legget;
and Red Hartsock (your future Fire Team leader), will run toward you and talk
about his adventures before meeting you.

The game will now teach you about controlling squads, by using a scarecrow in
Nazi uniform as a target. Basically, to move any of your units, hold down
the 'L' button; and move the left thumbstick around till you find your
desired location, then release the L button and your selected men will move
there and find any available cover. To have them fire at an enemy, hold down
'L', point the cursor at an enemy, then release L. To have them charge an
enemy, do the same thing as a fire manuever, except once you have the cursor
over the enemy, press 'R'. Finally,to have your men follow you, press down on
the d-pad.

Now, your objective for this level is to reach 'Exit 4' at Utah Beach, and to
link up with the 4th Infantry Division. Start off by ordering Hartsock to
follow you. Go in the compass's direction and you'll come across a group of
Germans. Have Hartsock take cover and suppress them. Once suppressed, move
inside the building on the right and flank them.

Keep on following the compass arrow and you'll come across another group of
Jerries. Have Hartsock get behind some suitable cover and suppress them. Move
along the right and flank them. Once dead, another single German will run into
the area, quickly shoot him dead. Continue to your objective until you see a
Mortar Team firing at Utah Beach. Have Hartsock either suppress or assult
them.

Continue and you will come across (*gasp*) two groups of Jerries this time!
Have Hartsock take cover behind the short stone wall and suppress the group
on the right. Move along the right, get cover behind the cart, and flank the
left group. Move left across the field, taking cover behind the wall sections
as your go andtake cover behind the big rock. Flank and kill the last group.

Run down through the marshes and you will run into Allen and Garnett, the
other two paratroopers who should be in your Fire Team. Follow them to your
objective and position Hartsock in a suitable defending position, behind a log
or something. Get on the MG42 and unleash hell upon the assulting Germans.
This part is pretty basic, just shoot all the poorly covered Germans until
they die. If your having trouble, have Hartsock suppress any enemies that your
not firing at, so they can't shoot at you while your trying to kill someone
else.

Once all the enemies are dead, follow the Compass to Mac to end the mission.

Normandy, France
D-Day 1015 June 6, 1944

When this mission starts off, Hartsock will be theorizing on what Germans eat
for breakfast, then some birds will scare Allen. Mac will come out of nowhere
and tell you to shoot all the Germans, and Garnett will question his motives.
Then they will run away.

Once they get done with all the jibba-jabba. You will learn that your
objectivefor this mission is to take a small unnamed village that just so
happens to have a whole German infantry division in it; and you and Hartsock
will have to kill all of them alone! Anyways, your objective is to get to the
barracks on the other side of the village.

Order Hartsock to follow you and follow the compass. It won't be long before
you spot an enemy. Have Hartsock take cover behind the fence and suppress the
group. Leave Hartsock here and move to the left side of the house. Hopefully,
an enemy will also move left. Shoot him and flank the enemy Hartsock was
suppressing.

Continue up the road and you'll come under fire by a MG42 nest and a group of
enemies (you'll need to flank both). Get Hartsock behind the barrels in the
road and suppress the group behind the cart just up ahead. Move left behind
the hedges and flank them from the side. Bring Hartsock to your position and
have him follow you. Keep going and you will see a group of enemies behind the
fence to the left. Suppress the group behind the short stone wall. Quickly
shoot the poorly covered guy in the window and run through the little shack
on the left. Shoot the guy that seems to be hiding on the other side of the
shack on the left. Now flank the group that Hartsock is suppressing. Keep
Hartsock were he is and go into the building where that one enemy was on the
right. From the second story window, flank and shoot the MG42 gunners.

Go back outside and have Hartsock follow you. Go past the MG42 nest and put
Hartsock behind the crates next to the truck for cover. Have him suppress the
enemies directly in front of you and leave Hartsock here. Move along the right
of the fence to the right, shooting any enemies that pop out as you go. Go
around the house and throw a grenade or shoot the enemies the enemies behind
the flipped desk. Go past the desk into the house and flank the enemies that
Hartsock is suppressing. Now tell Hartsock to suppress the group behind the
pile of logs on the left now. Go further around the back of the building and
go out the other side. You should be at an angle from which you can shoot the
suppressed enemies from their cover. Continue past this area and have Hartsock
follow you.

Move foward out of the street and move Hartsock behind the fence just past the
stream. Have him suppress the group behind the cart up ahead. Another group
will come out, so suppress them as well. Once suppressed, move along the left
of them and flank both groups. Move Hartsock up to the short stone wall now.
Suppress the enemies way off in the distance and flank the group that is close
to you by sneaking along the left wall. Now move along the fence to the right
and get behind the hedges. Move up through the side of the hedges and flank
the far group.

Now that you've gotten through that hill, run up and enter the mansion. In the
room beyond the one your in, there is about 4 Germans eating breakfast
(It's amazing they didn't hear the battle raging outside, just ten feet away
from them, isn't it?). Take this to your advantage and quickly toss a grenade
in the middle of them and take cover. Right after the grenade goes off, burst
in the room, guns blazing, and take out any survivors. If you don't have any
grenades, just burst in guns-a-blazing and shoot them all in the head as
quickly as you can.

Advance to the other end of the mansion, you'll find Allen and Garnett trying
too shoot the infantry in the building, on the other side of the area, with
a bazooka. Place Hartsock in a good firing position and order him to suppress
the Germans. Take out the exposed Germans in the windows first, then try to
flank the ones on the ground the best you can. There are a lot of different
ways you can flank them, depending on how they move about, so choose the one
that best handles the situation.

This level is very diverse and changes just about everytime you play it.
Depending on your actions the enemies will be in different positions so it
will require different tactics to beat them. So I can't really tell you how
to handle that last area. In one occasion, on the last area, all the infantry
units randomly decided to hide behind that big truck (about 5-6 of them) and
concentrated all their fire on me, and there was no way to flank them. I ended
up having to pick them off one by one.

Mac and Legget will conveniently appear out of nowhere, once all the enemies
are dead, so go talk to him to end the mission.

Once again you start off talking to your Fire Team and Mac and Legget. Mac
tells you your objective for the level. You need to clear the town of
Foucarville of any enemy units. Then he runs away with Legget.

Your objective for the mission is to push through the town to the church, far
at the other side of the level. Order your Fire Team to follow you and walk
down the only available path.

The second you turn the corner, your already under fire by enemies in the
distance, behind cover. Make a mad dash for the truck and order your Fire Team
to get behind it. Shoot the single German standing behind the barrels before
your Fire Team arrives; and order them to suppress one of the two groups of
enemies.

Once suppressed, move through the house on the left side just a little bit
ahead of the truck and shoot the German standing there inside the house.
You'll suprise him, so you'll have a pre-emptive amount of time to shoot him
before he can react.

Come out the other side of the house and get behind the low wall. Order your
Fire Team to move behind the wall as well and have them suppress the enemy
in front of you. This next part is tricky because whenever you come within
flanking distance, the enemies in the distance will open fire on you. So you
gotta do this quick. Get behind the cart to the left side of the two enemies
and shoot them quickly, then run back to your Fire Team.

Go back through the house and on the other side, order your Fire Team to get
behind the truck and fire on the Germans on the left side. Move through the
house again and go foward until your within flanking distance of the enemies
your Fire Team is suppressing. Shoot them quickly and order your Fire Team to
suppress the other group of enemies. Flank and kill them.

As you've probably noticed by now there are a lot of enemies in the distance
that have been shooting at you. Down that street there are two MG42 nests and
a unit of two Germans, behind cover. Don't go down this street yet. Instead,
order your Fire Team to follow you and move through the houses on the right
side of the street.

You will have to fight two groups of enemies while fighting through these
houses, one is right at the beginning, and the other is where you need to be
to flank the near MG42 nest. When moving through the houses, one of the first
things you will see is a short wall. Move your Fire Team behind it; and a
group of Germans will come out and take cover behind the wall just ahead.
Suppress them and move around the house just to your left and flank them.

Order your Fire Team to continue to follow you. Move through the houses and
you will stumble upon another short wall. Order your Fire Team to move behind
it; and the same thing will happen as before. Jerries will come out and take
cover behind a short wall. Once again go around the house to the left, while
crouching, and flank them.

You are now within flanking distance of the first MG42 nest. Quickly shoot
both of the gunners. The only thing left now is the other MG42 nest and the
group of Infantr protecting it's flank. To flank this gun, your going to
need to be where the Infantry are. The only way to beat them is by moving
across the street while being shot by the MG42, and get to grassy area
inside through those hedges. Have Baker move across the street first, you
should be able to get by unscathed, seeing that you've surprised the MG42
gunners. If you have a grenade, throw it at the MG42 nest to either
suppress them or kill them. Either way, once suppressed, move your Fire Team
across the street and move them behind the log. Have them suppress the pair
of infantry and flank them. Move up and flank the MG42.

Your not done yet! Just past the MG42 to the right is another grassy area. Go
there and position your fireteam behind good cover. You'll engage in combat
with two groups of infantry. Suppress the group of the right; and move to the
right and out of the grassy area until you get to a low incline street. Move
down the street, position yourself behind the log, and quickly shoot the two
groups of infantry.

Have your Fire Team follow you and move up to the church. There is a group of
infantry on each of it's two sides. Each one should have their backs to you.
So move up and have your Fire Team take cover. Quickly shoot both of them and
go around the church until you reach the next group. Shoot them and have your
Fire Team follow you.

Follow the compass arrow to the northwest of the church and order your Fire
Team to take cover in the sandbags. The Jerries are making an assult on the
church, so get on that MG42 and start shooting them to hell. They will come
from two areas, to your near right, and from down the road in the distance.
Shoot them until all or most of them are dead. Your Fire Team will kill
whatever you missed.

Once they are all dead, quickly order your Fire Team to follow you. Your
next objective is to kill the Mortar team. The enemy's mortars will blast a
hole in the fence to your right, once it does, run like hell through it. Keep
running through the field and you should be able to dodge all the mortars.
Once you see the Mortar team, order your Fire Team to charge them. Once dead,
go to the right and order your Fire Team to charge this Mortar team.

Finally, run back across the field and talk to Mac to end the mission.

D-Day is coming to a close, but there is still one last mission for you to do.

You start this mission off talking to Mac and Legget. Mac will tell you your
objective. You need to take out several poles in two fields, so that gliders
can land in them unhindered. I found this mission to be very frustrating.
The mission takes place over two large fields, with 3-4 groups of enemies
(many of which, are MG42's) in each one. Enemies will continually spawn to
replace the groups that you've killed, until you destroy all the poles.

This mission is so unlinear that I can't really tell you which way is the best
way to go about the mission. To start you off, order your Fire Team to follow
you and run down the low path. You will come up to a bunch of wood piled up.
Order your Fire Team to suppress the enemies taking cover behind the other
pile of wood. Now move along the left of them until you come within flanking
distance of a MG42 nest and the enemies behind the pile of logs. Tell your
Fire Team to move into the MG42 nest and use the MG42 to suppress the other
MG42 nest, off in the distance.

Leave your Fire Team where they are and make your way over to the MG42 nest
you just suppressed. Get behind of cover close to the nest and throw a
grenade at it to suppress it. Move along the right of it and flank it. Now,
take out the six nearest poles in this field.

Run back to your Fire Team and order them to suppress the group of enemies
to the left. While they are suppressed, take out the poles between them and
your Fire Team. All enemies on this field will run away once all the poles
are destroyed.

Now onto the second field. Follow your compass to a wrecked Glider and
position your Fire Team behind the log to the left of it. Have your Fire Team
suppress the enemies behind the sandbags at the other end of the field. Once
suppressed, move your men a little bit further ahead, behind the short wall.
Suppress the enemies at the other short wall and flank them. Order your men
to again suppress the enemies at the other side of the field. Leave your Fire
Team where they are and move through the ditch until you get behind all the
enemies on the left side of the field. Get behind the log and shoot the guy
that flipped over the table near the truck. Get behind the flipped table and
throw a grenade at the AA gun. Move up behind the two guys in the sandbag and
shoot them. Now destroy the left and middle set of poles, while making
sure those two guys in the sandbags are suppressed.

Taking out the right set of poles is a little more trickier than the other
ones. You can either dodge the bullets, blow up the poles, and run away
(that's what I did), or go to great lengths to flank them and kill them.
Either way, once you destroy all the poles in this field, a Glider will land.
Run over and talk to the pilot to end your mission.

It's now D+1 and once again you start off talking to Legget and Mac. Mac will
tell you your objective. Your first objective is to meet the tank commander,
that is supposed to help you clear Vierville, then your actually supposed to
clear Vierville.

Follow the compass's arrow and walk along the street. Once you see a short
wall, get cover behind it. A group of enemies will come out from a house
just ahead and take cover at the other side of the wall. Order your Fire Team
to suppress them and the tank you are supposed to meet will flank the enemy
and kill them. Talk to the tank commander and the tank will now be your
second squad! The tank operates exactly like the Fire Team does except it is
impervious to small arms fire and has a Browning mounted machine gun at the
top that you can use!

Have both teams follow you and follow the compass's arrow to the area that
the objective is looking at in the Situational Awareness Menu. There are two
Germans behind a truck, so charge them with your tank to quickly beat them.
Move foward and another group of enemies comes out. Charge them with your tank
and continue to move foward. Watch out for the guy on the right side behind
the corner of the house, he is going to ambush you.

Foward in the distance, there are two anti-tank guns, that are not facing you,
and a group of two enemies on the left near you. Have your tank charge the
group, and have your Fire Team suppress both of the anti-tank gunners. Firing
on them will make them jump over the fence behind them to get cover. Once
they do that, charge them both with your tank.

Once all of them are dead, have your men follow you. Up ahead there is a large
mansion and your compass arrow says you need to go through the right side of
the mansion. Don't do it, instead move through the gate on the left side to
discover a tank facing away from you. Disable it with a grenade and pull out
your Thompson. On the northwest corner of the mansion are two
Panzergrenadiers. Run past the disabled tank with your Thompson and blow
away the two Panzergrenadiers standing there. You should surprise them, but
shoot them fast.

Run past their corpses and you'll see a group of enemies in the distance
facing away from you (it's where your objective is currently looking at).
Charge them with your tank to quickly end their exsistence. Move to where you
killed the group of Germans and have your tank wait here. Your going to need
the tank to ambush a Panzer tank that comes down this road later.

Follow the compass with your Fire Team over to the church. The enemy is
counter-attacking! Get your Fire Team behind the short wall on the left side
of the church and suppress as many enemies on screen as you can. Your goal
for your Fire Team right now is to just survive. Coming from the left road is
an enemy Panzer tank. Your tank can beat it in full frontal combat, but once
it drives by your Stuart tank, your tank will open fire on it's exposed side.
Tanks have less armor on their sides and backs, so your tank should be able
to kill the Panzer before it can react to what's happening.

Once the Panzer is gone, have your tank charge the remaining enemies on
screen. Once dead, talk to the tank commander, Risner, to end your mission.

After a shockingly brief conversation with Risner, the level will start. Your
objective is to clear the road to the town of St. Come du Mont. You will have
the Stuart tank and your Fire Team accompanying your this time.

Have your teams follow you and move foward to the left, where you will come
up to a log. Put your Fire Team behind the log for cover and tell your tank
to stay where it is. One of the Germans in the group to the right has a
Panzerfaust weapon, and it's curtains for your tank if it gets close to him.
Suppress the group to the right (one with Panzerfaust) with your Fire Team
and charge the group of enemies on the left with your Tank. Now suppress the
right group with your tank and flank them.

Just up ahead to the left is another group, charge them with the tank as well.
While this is happening bring your Fire Team up to your position and have
them find cover. Now charge the other two groups with your tank, or charge
the group on the left with tank and shoot the right group.

Continue moving down the road and take the first right. Have your Fire Team
take cover behind the log and suppress the Anti-Tank gun dead ahead of you.
Take your tank and charge the MG42 nest to the right. Pull your tank back to
your position and have him suppress the Anti-Tank gun as well. Now run over
to the MG42 position you just killed and use the MG42 to kill the guys at
the Anti-Tank gun. Resupply your ammo while your here also.

Order your tank to charge the MG nest in the distance. Move foward and have
your tank charge the other two groups of enemies just east of the MG42 nest.

Now have both your teams follow you and continue down the road until your
path is blocked by debris. Use your tank to run through all the debris and
have it follow you.

Continue up the road with your teams (there is no cover so use your tank for
cover, or stay in the ditch to the right. A couple of Germans will pop out
from the right and open fire on you (they have poor aim, however). Charge them
with your tank and get over to the grassy area to the right, where that group
of enemies just was. Order your Fire Team to get cover behind the log and
have them suppress the Anti-Tank gun, which is way down the road.
Order your tank to get off the road and move it into the grassy area, just
to the right of where your Fire Team is. Make sure the tank doesn't go into
the road or he'll be shot to hell by that Anti-Tank gun.

Now that you and both your teams are in the grassy area to the right, have
your tank charge the group of enemies on the near right. Move up to their
formal position, and have the tank suppress the MG42 nest dead ahead. Now move
your Fire Team to where you are and have them take cover behind the log.
There isn't a safe way to flank the groups of enemies that are ahead of you,
so just have your Fire Team and tank suppress them while you move in and try
to pick them off when they try to fire at you. Once they are all dead, get
close to the Anti-Tank gun and toss a grenade at it, which will kill all it's
gunners.

Finally, move both your teams up to your position and have your tank charge
the remaining enemies up ahead. Once you've done this, a scene will occur
where Risner runs out of ammo and tries to shoot the remaining enemies with
his pistol. He is shot and killed. After that scene, charge and kill the
remaining group of enemies to end your mission.

The 'Crack' of Dawn... tee hee...

This is a very difficult level. You gotta make a lot of risky manuvers that
can get your teams and yourself, shot up real bad. There isn't really
any way around it. I try to make my strategies full-proof, to the point that
if you follow it word for word, no one on your side should be shot even once.
Often times, if I'm shot or any of my guys are shot, I'll reload the mission.
I'm just saying, that the strategies I'm giving you on this mission are
risky. Believe it or not, I got through this whole level without anyone on
my team being shot once, with the strategy I concocted. You just gotta be
very quick and precise, when you do it. Also note that the enemies are VERY
grenade friendly in this level. If you try and flank them and they see you,
they will respond by throwing a grenade up your booty.

You start off this level, where the last level ended. Legget says he's sorry,
so run away from him and Hartsock will tell you to speak with Mac (big
shocker there). Speack with Mac and he'll will tell you what to do. Your
objective is to clear the road down to a farmhouse, then clear it.

In this level you are granted an Assult Team. Along with your Fire Team, you
will now control two teams total! The Assult Team at the moment is comprised
of two people (Corrion, it's team leader, and Desola), and they are equipped
with Thompsons and grenades. They're main purpose is flanking the enemy, that
is what they do best. As the Fire Team is best for suppressing the enemy.

Tell both teams to follow and follow the compass's arrow. Once you turn the
corner, quickly position your Fire Team behind the cart and dead horse; and
put your Assult Team behind the right corner of the house on the left side of
the road. Two groups of Jerries will come out. Have Fire Team suppress the
group to the right. Get over to the corner of the house, where Assult Team is,
and have them suppress the group on the left. The Assult Team will usually
throw a grenade at them, when you tell them to suppress that group. If they
don't or it doesn't work, throw a grenade yourself; and if THAT doesn't work,
go over to Fire Team's position and you should be at an angle from which you
can shoot them from behind their cover. Now go over to Assult Team's position
and you should be at an angle from which you can shoot the Jerries at the
right from their cover. Kill them and have both teams follow you.

Move off the road and to the left, into the farmland area. Position both teams
behind the short stone wall. There will be a group of Jerries on the opposite
stone wall just ahead, so have your Fire Team suppress them. Move with your
Assult Team over to the left side and flank them.

Once they are dead, a new group of Germans will come out at the intersection
of the road , get behind a cart, and open fire on you. Move your
Fire Team to the stone wall, where the last group you killed was, and
suppress them. Move with your Assult team, get up and take cover behind the
log to the side of the Jerries, and flank them. Now have both teams follow
you and move across the street (not down the street to the farmhouse, across).
You'll see some dead paratroopers that the Jerries were having some fun with
(brutally cutting up their bodies and such). Move past them, head down this
path, and turn left.

Right as you enter this grassy area, three planes will swoop by and drop bombs
right in your face, none of which will. Now this next part is tricky. Quickly
tell your Assult Team to move behind the bushes just in front of you, and
tell your Fire Team to move behind the logs to the left. The reason I told
you to move your Assult Team behind the poor cover of the tall bushes is
because once you come into this area, three groups of enemies will come out:
one in the left, one in the middle, and one over to the right. The one on
the right will attempt to move over to the side of you Fire Team and flank
them at any given opportunity, even if it means stupidly suiciding themselves.
That is why you need your Assult Team behind these bushes, to smoke their
booties if they try anything.

OK, tell your Fire Team to suppress the guys in the middle, and tell your
Assult Team to suppress the guys on the right. Now you want to lure the guys
on the right to try and flank your Fire Team. Throw a grenade at them and they
will most likely make a run to flank your Fire Team; in which your Assult Team
will respond with hostile fire, smoking their booties. Now that they are gone.
Have your Assult Team follow you and flank the group on the left and middle
with ease. Finally take Assult Team and either shoot or charge the AA gun
behind the bushes.

Take your Fire Team and put them behind the log, just west of the AA gun, for
cover; and suppress the group of enemies on the road that have taken cover
behind the horse and cart. Use your M1 Garand to suppress the MG42 gun in the
farmhouse, and once suppressed, move your Assult Team across the street and
put them behind the short stone wall. Have Assult Team suppress the enemy on
the left. Move along the eastern side of the stone wall, quickly shoot the
group on the left, and run back for cover before the MG42 nest becomes
unsuppressed. Use the Assult Team to suppress the MG42 nest and make a mad
dash across the field to some cover at the southern side of the farmhouse.
Shoot the group of enemies behind the cart and order both your teams to
suppress the MG42 nest now. You should be able to see the gunner from the
ground, since the back of the house is destroyed. Shoot him, then have
both teams charge the last enemy in the farmhouse.

The Jerries are making an assult on the farmhouse now! Take your Fire Team
and move them behind some cover on the north side of the house. Keep your
Assult Team somewhere in the house, behind some cover, to protect your flank.
Get on the MG42 and start unleashing hell upon the enemies charging the
farmhouse. Your Fire Team and Assult Team should kill whatever you don't. If
they don't, run downstair and either go rambo or flank the remaining group(s).

Mac will now conveniently come out once the fighting is over. Speak with him
to end the mission.

The level starts off with Legget and Allen arguing whether Batman or Superman
are better (Superman, in my opinion). Mac will pimpslap the both, Allen will
question Mac's motives, then Mac tells you your objective. Your goal is to
clear and capture the town of St. Come du Mont. Once he finishes talking to
you, you will be ambushed by two groups of Germans; and Mac and Legget will
run away instead of helping you.

Look at the Situational Awareness Menu and you'll notice that, oh noes, it's
SS troopers! Get your Fire Team behind cover and have your Assult Team follow
you. Besides the two groups of SS your facing, your also under fire from
a mortar team up the road a bit. Have your Fire Team suppress the enemies
and move with your Assult Team along the left, taking cover behind the
haystacks as you go until you can flank both groups (Be sure to watch out for
Mortar blasts as you try to flank. Move from cover to cover inbetween shots).

Order both teams to follow you and move up ahead. Keep going until you see a
white house. Look on the left side of it and shoot the two SS troopers. Move
along the left side of the house and open fire (or have Fire Team suppress)
on the MG42 nest in the distance. Firing on the MG42 nest should stop the
Mortar Team from firing on you. Move your Fire Team up, get them behind some
cover, and suppress the MG42 nest. Take your Assult Team and move left,
taking cover behind the haystacks as you go, get around behind the house, and
flank both the Mortar team and the MG42 nest.

Move foward past the MG42 nest and Mortar position until you see a short stone
wall. Put your Fire Team and Assult Team behind it. Have Fire Team suppress
the two groups of enemies in the building up ahead. Once suppressed, move
yourself and your Assult Team behind the metal crates and barrels just ahead
on the right. At this angle, you should be at an angle from which to shoot
the guys on the bottom floor from their cover. If you can't, shoot them from
the window on the right. Now either charge the guys on the top floor with
yourself or Assult Team. Go out the other side of the building and speak with
Mac (notice that he somehow got past all the enemies in the villages and
none of them seem to care).

Mac will tell you that a tank is coming, then three groups of SS will come out
from the building ahead. Suppress them all with your Fire Team and leave them.
Take your Assult Team, move into another area on the left, and put them behind
the short stone wall. The left group of Jerries in the other area will shift
position to the area you are in and engage you and your Assult Team. Have your
Assult Team suppres them, then take yourself and flank them on the left. Now
use Assult Team to flank the other two groups of enemies.

Once dead, have both teams follow and follow the compass's arrow. You will see
a door on the right leading into a building, so put both teams inside of it
and take cover (This area is tricky, there isn't any real safe way to go about
it. Just make sure your Assult Team doesn't go outside the house or they'll
will most certainly be killed.). Several groups of enemies come out from all
directions and a tank will come from the street on the right. Have both teams
open fire and suppress any enemies that come out. There is no good, safe way
to flank the enemies that come out here, especially with the tank pumping
shells at you. So start by picking off as many enemies as you can, then go
in Rambo on them, moving from cover to cover in between shots. Once you kill
all the infantry, get behind the big pile of tank-invulnerable crates and pick
up the Panzerfaust. Wait until tank shoots his cannon, pop out and shoot it
with a panzerfaust, pick up another one, repeat until it's dead.

Go and speak with Mac to end the mission.

You start off this mission by talking with your Fire Team and Legget. Legget
makes a fool of himself and Mac pimpsmacks them all, then he tells you your
objective. You gotta take the farm, okey doke. Then your Fire Team will run
off with Mac and Legget. Oh noes! But you still got Hartsock, Desola, Corrion,
and A FRIGGIN SHERMAN TANK! That's right, you get a Sherman Tank for the
mission, the tank that spearheaded the Allies all the way through WWII!

Ahem, anyways, have both your Assult Team and tank follow you. You start off
at a crossroad, take the left path. Move your tank up first, and charge the
first group of enemies you see. While he is being used as a decoy, quickly
move your Assult Team behind some cover. Suppress all the enemies you can with
your Assult Team, while your tank chrages all of the enemies in this grassy
area. I'm not sure, but one of the groups MAY have a panzerfaust, but I played
the part over five times to make sure, and the tank wasn't hit by one. While
tank slaughters everyone in the area, move your Assult Team from cover to
cover as needed.

Once everyone in this grassy area is dead, move to the exit of this area and
get your Assult Team behind some cover and suppress the group behind the
stone wall uphill. Have your tank suppress the MG42 nest as your Assult Team
gets into position. This part can be very difficult to not get shot in. I
think the safest way to do this part is to just have the tank suppress the
MG42 nest until he gets a lucky shot in and kills them, while Assult Team
suppresses the other group. The other, faster way is you can leave your
Assult Team behind cover and suppress the MG42 nest. Then move up with your
tank and use it to take out the MG42 nest down the road. From here you can
flank the group and the MG42 nest on the hill.

Either way, proceed down the road to the objective and shoot the group that
tries to take cover behind the truck before they are able to (as one has a
panzerfaust). Keep the tank at the bottom of the hill and move Assult Team up
behind the short stone wall to the left. Have Assult Team suppress the
Anti-Tank gun up ahead and move around the house on the left and flank the
A-T gun. Now move your tank into the area and have it charge all other enemies
in this area until they are all dead.

Once dead, you will now have to kill a Mortar Team. This part is similar to
the "Foucarville Blockade" Mortar Team part, except that you have to fight
a group of infantry and a tank as your charging through the field.

As soon as you enter the field, go to the left side behind the hedges; and
flank the enemies here Rambo style. Keep going until you see a tank, hopefully
you still have your one grenade. If you do, throw it in the tank hatch and
instantly kill it. If not, have your tank charge it and hide somewhere with
your Assult Team. Once the tank is gone, have your tank charge the Mortar
Team and all other enemies in the area.

Once all are dead, find and talk to Legget. He was 'ambushed' and got your
Fire Team killed! Way to go wonderboy! He just keeps on proving how useful he
is throughout the game more and more! Anyways, speak to him to end the level.

You start off talking with your Assult Team and Mac, while Legget is off
crying. They are discussing about how terrible Legget is and Mac pimpslaps
them all. He then tells you your objective and runs off with Legget. Your
objective is to destroy a bridge that is believed to be bringing up German
tanks to the frontline. Note that instead of a M1 Garand, you have a BAR for
this mission. The BAR is a great suppressing weapon, and is accurate and
powerful. Also note that the tank CAN die in this level. You won't fail the
mission if he is destroyed.

Believe it or not, the first time I played this level I actually went rambo
the entire time on everyone, and all my men were killed, but I didn't have a
scratch by the time I blew up the bridge. It was normal difficulty by the way.

Have your Assult Team and tank follow you and follow the compass. Keep going
and a group of enemies will come out in the distance. Get your Assult Team
behind the wall on the right and suppress them. Charge them with tank, or
suppress with tank and flank them with Assult Team to the left.

Continue and to the left, behind the graveyard, you will see a group and an
enemy Panzer tank. Charge the enemy tank first with your tank, then charge
the group with your tank. Keep your Assult Team hidden during all of this and
out of the tank's range.

Once dead follow the compass and you'll spot a group at the other side of an
already destroyed bridge. Bring Assult Team up behind cover and have them
suppress the group of Jerries, while your tank stays far behind you. Now look
to your left and you'll see a Anti-Tank gun. Just go rambo on it or throw a
grenade to quickly kill it. Now have your tank and Assult Team suppress the
group at the other side of the river and kill them.

This next area is very tricky. Your basically just walking into trap after
trap and surprise after surprise. No matter, follow the compass and you'll
come to a trainyard. At this moment, several groups of enemies will come out
from multiple directions. First, order your Assult Team to get behind some
suitable cover and have them suppress the enemies up ahead behind the train
carts and such. Look over to the right in the marshes, there is a Jerry shoot
at your completely exposed Assult Team, so quickly shoot him. Focusing your
attention foward, have the tank charge the groups ahead until they are dead.
Up farthers ahead, past the train carts, is another enemy Panzer. Have your
tank charge it, while your Assult Team hides. If your tank is killed here, run
up to the Panzer rambo-style and throw a grenade down it's hatch to instantly
kill it (you have three grenades in this level, so you should have at least
one).

Once tank is dead, bring your Assult Team up further and get them behind
cover (like the destroyed tank for example), and suppress the group of enemies
up ahead. If you still have your tank, charge all the enemies with it. If not
have Assult Team suppress and flank them all yourself to the right, rambo
style.

Ignore the enemies on the far right in the marshes and proceed to the bridge.
Multiple enemies will appear on screen, including: a MG42 nest, an Anti-Tank
gun, a enemy Panzer, and two groups of enemies. Leave your tank behind, and
have your Assult Team follow you. Go through the house on the right and shoot
the two enemies on the small dam. Cross the river using the dam, proceed to
the right, and bring Assult Team behind the truck for cover. Flank and shoot
the MG42 gunner. Go a little bit to the left, and you should be at an angle
from which to shoot the Anti-Tank gunners.

Ignore the tank and the other two groups of enemies, and pull the plunger to
end the mission.

You start this one off already under fire by enemies, while your squad jabbers
on about stuff. You objective for this mission is to get to Bridge 4 using the
causeway. After playing through this level thoroughly, I have found out why
this level is called 'Purple Heart Lane'. I found it nearly impossible to get
through it without any of my squad or myself getting shot. Well here we go.

You start off with your Fire Team and Assult Team once again! You Fire Team
is still led by Hartsock, but it's other members have been replaced by
Zanovich and Obrieski, who for some reason I found to be much dumber AI wise
than Garnett and Allen. Anyways, once you gain control of Baker, you'll notice
that you have a Sniper Rifle for this level. Make good use of it and shoot the
two groups of pesky Germans that have been shooting at you, from behind their
cover. Don't even bother having your teams suppress them, it's much easier to
shoot them if they are unsuppressed. If you wanna get tactical, you can also
suppress both groups with Fire Team and flank both groups with your Assult
Team.

Have both teams follow you now, move to the left, and get both teams behind
the fallen tree for cover. Suppress the enemy groups with Fire Team and flank
left with Assult Team. You can also pick them off with your Sniper Rifle as
well.

Follow your compass and more groups will come out in the distance. Get your
Fire Team and Assult Teams behind logs for cover. You can suppress them with
Fire Team and flank flank them to the right with Assult Team, but it is much
easier to just snipe them from behind their cover that I recommend doing that
instead.

Once they are dead, follow your compass and go under the bridge, and meet up
with Lt. Col. Cole (remember him?). He'll repeat the mission objective and
tell you to follow him. This next part is VERY difficult. I found it nearly
impossible to get down the causeway without one of your guys getting shot.
Follow Cole and order both squads to get behind the first bit of cover you
see and try to suppress as many enemies as you can. Don't kill off an entire
group however, because the Germans will respawn until you make it to the end
of the causeway. Just suppress and manuver. Once you make it to the end, your
squad will run ahead of you into the next area and Cole will jibba jabba some
more. Once he's done, run to your squad.

The last thing you gotta do is destroy an MG42 nest. This part is trickier
than it sounds, because your in a confined area, about ten feet away from
the nest with it hailing round after round at you. Start off by sniping the
other enemies to the side of the nest. There isn't a way to flank the dang
MG42 nest, so your best bet is to throw a grenade on it, run to the side of
it, and shoot them rambo style.

Once they are dead, you are attacked by bombers! Yay, your knocked out!

This is an interesting mission. Fun fact right here, this mission got Lt. Cole
the Congressional Medal of Honor. He is one of two people to be awarded this
medal for actions in D-Day. Well anyways, you start off waking up from the
Stuka explosion that knocked you out. Red is weeping over his lost comrades
grotesque corpse and throws his helmet into the water. Then Corrion tells
Red to get over it. Once you gain control, run over to Cole and he will tell
you the battle plan and mission objective. The mission objective is to
get across the next part of the causeway and take the farm, so Cole can set up
HQ. How are you going to achieve this? He is going to send a bunch of smoke
grenades onto the field, and you plus squad will charge across field and kill
everyone. Good plan.

(This is one of my favorite missions in the game, one of the only missions
where you are SUPPOSED to go Rambo on everyone, thats just awsome.)

Anyways, once the smoke grenades are dropped and Cole yells "CHAAAAARRRRRRGGG
GGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAA", follow him and stay close. As you can see by
now, your under fire by multiple (5-6) MG42 nests from all directions, as soon
as you enter the field. Anyways, keep close to Cole until he stops behind some
cover. Order both teams to get behind the same cover, while you run ahead up
to the near MG42 nest dead ahead and flank him rambo style. Now that your up
the hill, proceed to flank all the other MG42 nests rambo style as well. The
great thing about this part is, that the MG42 nests don't even see you coming
on their flank. Your basically invisible, so kill them all quickly before the
smoke goes away.

Once all the MG42 nests are dead, have both teams follow you and walk up to
the actual farm area. Go through the building on the left and shoot the two
Jerries here. Go speak with Cole and he'll tell you that you got to kill all
the rest of the Jerries in the area, while he sets up HQ.

Once he opens the gate, run through and put your Fire Team behind the first
short stone wall you see. Quickly move Assult Team through the hedges on the
left and flank two groups of enemies that come out. You should massacre them
if you do it quickly enough.

Once they are dead, quickly move both teams up to the next stone wall. Two
more groups will come out up ahead. Have Fire Team suppress one group, while
Assult Team suppresses the other. Move along the right and flank the near
group, then move left then foward and flank the far group. Once they are dead,
yet another group will come out from the right. They are simply begging to be
flanked, so walk up to the stone wall to the left of them and massacre them.

Have both teams follow you and follow your compass. Once you see the enemies
firing on you, get your teams behind the log or some cover. Have Fire Team
and Assult Team suppress all the enemies you can. I would advise doing the
rest of the mission by yourself, as your teams are just in danger of being
shot up real bad, when they can make themselves useful as decoys. Anyways,
run down the road on the right and you'll be fired on by yet another MG42
nest. He has terrible aim however, so just make zig zags until you get cover
behind the truck. Ignoring the MG42 nest down the road, proceed to flank all
the enemies in the area that are firing on your squad.

Once dead, have both teams follow you (if you want), and exit this area to the
next. Shoot the two exposed MG42 gunners way in the distance, then look to
your right and go rambo on the group standing there. Run over and kill the
MG42 nest that you ignored earlier.

Once the final MG42 nest is killed, talk to Mac to end the mission.

The mission starts off with the whole posse sitting around a table doing
nothing at the HQ. Then Mac has a job for you. Your objective is to rescue
Lt. Combs. His patrol was ambushed or something and you gotta save him! Mac
decides that it's up to you and your Fire Team to rescue him, while he and
the rest of the group 'defend' the farm, which involves sitting around doing
nothing. Of course.

Anyways, follow your compass until some bombs start dropping up ahead. Ignore
the bombs and just keep on proceeding until you reach a bunch of houses. A
chateau, I suppose is what you would call it. You should have the element of
suprise here, so get your Fire Team up behind the tall stone wall ahead. Move
with your Fire Team, staying close to the wall, and move to the right end of
it. Once you get there, put your Fire Team behind the big ol' pile of logs for
cover and start suppressing all the groups of enemies. Leave your Fire Team
where they are and move through the right alley, at the house on the right.
Get cover from the other enemies ahead behind the barrels and flank the near
group of enemies.

Now this next part is tricky. Whenever you try to flank any of the other
groups in this area, it is always the far group that always keeps tabs on you
and tries to suppress you all the time. Keep this in mind before you proceed
to kill everyone else in the area. Anyways, move up to the short stone wall in
front of you and you should be at an angle from here, from which you can shoot
and kill the MG42 nest gunner, so do it.

Now that the MG42 is out of the way, get back to the tall stone wall and run
to the left end of it. Go foward to the short stone wall and shoot the last
group that is stationary. Hopefully, the group that always tries to move with
you, will be doing so; and from the angle that you SHOULD be at, it is a
turkey shoot killing them.

Continue to follow the compass and you'll come to a gate, which is destroyed
by a mortar shell right as you approach it. Hmmm, convenient, isn't it? Keep
going and you'll see your objective, Lt. Combs, who is under fire by three
groups of bad guys. Quickly get your Fire Team behind the log to the left of
Comb's log and have them suppress the left group. From your Fire Team's
position, you should be able to shoot the middle group from behind their
cover, so do it. Once they are dead, run over to Lt. Combs and he'll tell you
to kill all the Germans. Ok, so run left and flank the left group. As you've
probably noticed by now, a mortar team is firing on you. Respond with a
grenade in the middle of them and shoot any survivors. Now look right and
flank the right group.

Talk with Combs again, who tells you that you gotta escort him back to the
farmhouse. Follow him and he'll eventually stop at the chateau area, next to
the house the MG42 was in. Place your Fire Team behind the short stone wall
where Combs is and have them shoot at people. Run into the house, get on the
MG42, and easily mow down the several groups of Jerries.

Talk with Combs yet again and continue to follow him all the way to the
farmhouse. Now talk with Mac and he'll tell you that the Germans are counter-
attacking with everything that they have. He'll then run away (When he or the
other oodles of men at his command, just ten feet away, could be helping
you!). You'll then be granted control of your Assult Team once again.

Once Mac McFatty is gone, quickly get both teams behind some nearby cover and
suppress the first group of enemies that comes out seconds after your
conversation with Mac. With your help, you and your teams should be able to
shoot this groups before they reach their destination. Once that appetizer is
dead, two more groups will come out, so have both teams suppress and try to
kill as many as you can before they reach cover. If they do reach cover, take
your Assult Team and move foward from cover to cover, making sure they stay
suppressed before and after each movement. Eventually, get you and your
Assult Team behind the wall to the right and flank them. Once dead, two more
groups will come out from the far left. Suppress and kill them before they
can reach cover. Once they are dead, two more groups will come out on you
and Assult Team's flank, so move back to some better cover quickly, while
Fire Team suppresses. Once they are dead, three groups will come out. Shoot
as many as you can before they can reach cover and flank the rest.

Once they are all finally dead, speak with Cole to end the mission.

This is a very interesting level... You start off on the top of the church
in Carentan, wielding a sniper rifle. Your just standing around talking to
your homies when a enemy sniper shoots one of your guys in the head. The
Germans are launching an assult! It's up to you to defend it. In this mission,
your Fire Team and Assult Team are at ground level, while your at the top
of the church. Your obejctive is to defend the church at all cost. I found it
nearly impossible to keep my squad from getting killed completely in this
mission, but I don't think it even matters if they are killed in the long run.

Start off by putting your teams in a better position for cover. The position
they are in right now will get them killed pretty quick, as enemies will come
from all sides. Suppress any approaching enemies with your teams and snipe as
many as you can with your sniper rifle. Kill off enough of them, and Mac will
tell you to follow him to the lower lever of the church.

Follow him down and start sniping people in this area. Just like before, try
to kill as many enemies as you can before they can reach your teams. Kill
enough of them and a tank will storm in from the left street and pretty much
kill whatever is left of your teams. Oh well, Mac will tell you to follow him
and some Jerries will pop out on your level from a door on the right. Shoot
them and proceed to the next part of the level.

Now your final objective is to kill the three tanks that are assulting the
church. They will come out from all streets, one by one. The first one comes
out from the left street. Get the bazooka and hide around the corner. Wait for
the tank to stop and quickly run up and fire a shot, run back and hide,
reload, and repeat until dead. The next one will come from the right street.
Same tactics here, hide around the corner, wait for it to stop, etc. Then the
last one will come from the middle street. Same tactics here as well. Hide,
shoot, hide, reload, repeat until dead.

Talk to Mac to end the mission.

Hooray! Hooray! Victory in Carentan! Oh noes more fighting!

That's basically all that happens...

If you've been following this FAQ through all the levels and have made it
to this level, you've finally beaten the game! Congratulations!

So you've beaten the game and you might be wondering, what now? Well...
-There IS word that a sequel is coming out sometime. Check the PC section of
gamefaqs, and there should be a title called, "Brothers in Arms 2 (working
title)" or something along those lines.
-Play online on xbox live! I hear that the xbox live counterpart of this game
 is great.
-Get Brothers in Arms for PC! There will probably be extras on it that won't
be on the xbox version: like patches, custom maps, mods, all the good stuff
you can expect from PC gaming.

See you online I hope! (check next chapter in this FAQ)
