| This chapter contains:| Welcome to my humble little guide of MapleStory.
| - Introduction | This guide will show you all about MapleStory! In
| - Version History | case you don't know, MapleStory is a MMORPG. That
|_______________________| stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing
Game. That means an Online strategy game that allows
you to interact with other players thru the Internet.

To start, you go to nexon.net on the Internet. You can look on to check what
MapleStory is. If you already know, you're probably bored, so let's get
started, shall we!

This guide is all about MapleStory. How to play it, item lists, reccocmended
job paths, etc. Each section is divided by the little border right there. It
will show from up left to down right: roman numeral, CTRL F icon, completion
status, summing it up, name of the section, date started, and date completed.

OK, a few final things before I start the guide. First off, don't steal this
guide. You may not use this guide, and sell it or claim it as your own. You
can not put it on your site without my permission. To do that, go to the
Contact section near the end of the guide. Thank you for your cooperation
and for helping me (and you) stay clear of trouble.

Newb most the time is not offensive, and n00b or noob usually is (although
there are people who confuse them) But anyways, I drone on - let's begin
to learning the basics, so you AREN'T a n00b anymore.

    \_____/ /_____________Basics_________________/ /________2007____/

So ... you want to play MapleStory, eh? But you finally finish with the
long but seemingly worthy download - is it time? But, you need an account
to register, what a rip-off. But luckily, an account is free and usually
quite painless, at least in comparison of that download.

Well, first off, you go to Register on 'www.nexon.net' without the apostrophes
and simply that. Then, you enter the information. You are then ready to play!
Although I do sound like your parent, do not share your password or username
(you have a seperate name in game, don't worry) with anyone, whether online,
your parents, your brother, your sister, your best-friend-who-can-seemingly-
keep-a-secret-but-somehow-ends-up-telling-the-whole-neighborhood, anyone. If
you must, write it down, or type it in a super secret spot.

Woot, now you can open MapleStory back up! Type in your User-Name and
Password. You will first have to set a PIN, Personal Indentification Number.
Emphasis on Personal. Again, do not tell this to ANYONE, this more importantly
than the password. Your PIN should be something that you know easily that
someone else cannot figure out.

A good PIN shouldn't contain any:

- telephone, fax, birthday numbers/fragments of numbers
- a pattern (ie, 1234) (ie, 2468)
- a string of numbers (ie, 0000) (ie, 6666)
- address

Here are a few examples of PINs.

3842 (Good)
2828 (OK)
5555 (Bad)

So pick your PIN wisely. Right it down or type it in a secret spot. Now, you
must choose a gender. You might think it doesn't matter, but oh yes it does.
In game you choose between a girl and a boy - that makes more difference than
it seems.

Boys and Girls wear seperate clothes - most of them are different simply by
looks. But some make a grand difference with stats and levels. For example,
a Beginner Boy can wear a certain type of shoes, and the Beginner Girl
cannot. Also - if you choose a gender and decide to get married/crush ring,
then that means unless they happen to be the wrong gender, you're pretty
much going out/married with someone the same gender in real life. If the
latter, it means you're a cross dresser. (Joking, but still that's kind of
wrong)

Luckily you CAN choose up to three characters out of the twenty-four to be
the opposite gender. So choosing your gender is best to be your real life
gender. Now, choose your gender carefully!

Your account is all set up! Now, I'll teach you how to manage post-game.
You can manage most your account settings (not character) support things,
etc. all under nexon.net. Log in, you can edit your stuff!

If you click the MapleStory icon, here's how to get around. Log in using
your user name and password and enter your PIN. Now, you'll see eight
different posts (they'll grow in time, so there might be more or less)
Each world is a different copy of MapleStory. They're all physically the same.
But the people there, are different. You cannot interact in any way whatsoever
with anyone of a different world.

You also CANNOT switch. Scratch that. You can switch. For a REAL LIFE price.
It costs a good deal of money - and your buddy list, guild, and money in your
bank and storage is all gone. And it also takes about a week to a month for
the world switch to work.

Here are the different worlds:

Scania - this is the most popular world. You can sell stuff for high prices,
but you also buy for high prices, and it's laggy and quite crowded.

Bera - a deal less crowded and laggy then Scania. The buying and selling
prices also go down a great deal

Broa - a medium-high population, little to medium lag (sometimes high or
none depending on your computer) The buying and selling prices are
       average.

Windia - a medium population, but still has plenty of people. The buying and
selling prices are a bit medium though.

Khani - a medium population, basically average in everything, a nice world.

Bellocan - a medium-low population, selling and buying prices are a bit
low. Might be hard to find people

Mardia - a low population, making it good in terms of finding Party Quests
(Explained later) and lag, but bad in terms of group training and
higher level Party Quests. Also prices are a bit low, but so are
         buying prices.

Kradia - very low population, making it pretty useless. But it's also peaceful
none to little lag and low prices for both buying and selling.

Choose your world wisely! You must then choose a channel. Channels are much
different, there are ninteen (again, depend on time you play and version)
channels. Each one can be switched, and characters made there are not forced
to be there, you can even switch in-game. 1 is the most popular, and 2, 3 and
19 are about half as popular, the rest are not too popular.

Then, you have your Character screen! You can create a new character, delete
one, or play it. Let's create your first character! Start by clicking 'New
Character' and then you'll get to choose.

You start out with hair. You cannot change your hair without a price, real
world price (2 and a half American dollars for a random, 5 American dollars
for a choice, and then same price again to dye it) so choose what you like.
Same thing with the eyes, and skin color.

Then, you get to choose your weapon, clothes, and shoes. Clothes do not
matter, as they will be changed soon enough, though you will be stuck with
them for about thirty minutes. (Unless you take them off, you'll be stuck
with underwear and a T-Shirt though) and same with the shoes. The weapon
makes an extremely little difference, only about one or two more damage if
you choose the club.

I explained your gender earliar on - you can only make three opposite genders,
and then there's the name. Each person per world must have a unique name. If
you have a simple name, like IceWizard or something, it's going to be taken.
So either get a complicated name, like SuperStrongIceWizard, or something
with a number, like IceWizard233. Some names can be used to advantages, like
to help avoid tracking. (a lower case L and a capital I look the same, as does
the up and down mark |, and things like \/\/ instead of a W) but make little
difference again. You cannot change your name, except of course, for a real
world price, and it also takes a week to a month for it to work, anyways.

Finally, it's the all important, evil, DICE. The DICE determines your stats,
it's always what messes up new guys. If you want you can ignore it and just
play for fun, but you will be somewhat weaker. You can always create a new
character, don't forget it. If you want to be a certain class, you must get
a certain roll. If you want to create a serious character, go ahead to the
class section. When you're done, click OK and you're ready to roll.

Yeah, you have a characters - how am I supposed to make him move? This section
will clear it all up for you! Well, the totally awesome feature of MapleStory
is getting to choose your own controls. Yes, it's completely up to you. You
could play with whatever you want on your keyboard. You could even play with
a joystick if you wanted! (But that's some complicated stuff, let's not get
into that)

First off, let's learn the extreme basics. You press left and right to move,
well, left and right. You can crouch with down. You can stand in front of a
rope, and press up to move up. Keep pressing to continue moving up, press
down to slide down. Press Up near a portal (a shiny purplish beam of light)
to go to the next map.

On a rope, you can go up or down. You can jump and hang on to a rope if you
want. If you press left or right, and press jump, you'll jump off. You can
very slightly control your fall. If you fall too much ... you lose HP, so be
careful how high your jumps are.

Well, in game with a character, press the button on your keyboard the looks
like this, above the enter/return, below the Backspace. \ with a | on top
of that. Press it to manage your controls. You can also go there from the
button on the bottom right corner.

Here you have a virtual keyboard - you can drag and drop what you want.
The default has ALT for Jump, CTRL for Attack, and then various hot keys
for quickly opening menus - most corresponding to its first letter. (ie, Quest
is the Q key)

Now, you click something, and drop it on the space you want it. Simple! Some
things cannot be moved, like Scroll Lock. If you go over a space that's
already taken, it goes away forever! Joking, it goes below the keyboard where
a few slots are. You can put them there if you want it off your keyboard
so it doesn't distrub you.

Now, here's an awesome thing - you can put ITEMS on your keyboard! Yes, you
can put Potions, which is HIGHLY RECCOCMENDED, chairs, etc. on your keyboard,
so you don't have to open the menu, find the desired object, and double click
it. It can be an in-game lifesaver - literally. If you're facing a fearsome
monster, and your HP is running low, you don't have time to open the menu
find it and click twice. But you can press it, and ka-bam. Healed. You can
also do it with skills, which is almost a must (since after level 20, you'll
almost always use a skill rather than a normal attack)

If you press the ] with a } on top key, right beside the control manager key,
you'll find a quick access thing. It has the SHIFT button, CTRL button, and
the six keys above the arrow keys (Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End, Page
Down) which can be accessed if you play like I do.

I find it easy to have one hand on the arrow keys, and one hand on the space
with CTRL and ALT. That way, I have the jump, attack, and enter key with
easy access on my left hand, and I can put a skill/item on Shift and the
Space Bar with also easy access. With my right hand I move my character with
the arrow keys, and can access an item, potion, or skill on the six keys above
it.

You can find your own methods to play - so experimenting is the best way to
find the best control!

So, you know the basics and the controls. What else is there to do? Well,
here's all the menus!

-\ /-
--Quest Menu--
-/ \-

Quests are tasks given in game that require you to fullfill a certain
requirement in exchange for a reward. If you double click an NPC, you can
start and end a quest. The Quest Menu is an easy tool that you can manage and
keep track of your quests with.

There are multiple continents: Maple Island, Victoria Island, Ossyria, and
Masteria. These and Events make up the different sortings for Quests. You can
organize your list of quests by clicking the - (minus) symbol to make that
continent not appear on your Quest List, or press the + (plus) to open it
again.

Your list is also organized by Quest Avalible (ones that you have not yet
started, but your requiements for starting it are fulfilled) Quests in
Progress (quests you're in the middle of doing) and Completed (ones you have
done already) You can go through the lists by clicking those respective
buttons at the top of the window.

If you click on a quest, you can see a short sum up of what you need to do,
or what you need to do or have done, in other cases. If it's In Progress,
you can Resign the quest by clicking Resign, where you WILL have to start all
over if you do it.

The Quest Helper is a neat little transparent box that is small and snug. If
you click the Quest Helper from a quest, it is added to a little transparent
box. It shows you neatly how much more of a certain item you need to collect,
or what you have.

-\ /-
--World Map--
-/ \-

The World Map isn't of much use, but it's a nice little feature to find how
to get around. World Map can be activated by click WORLD on the Mini-Map, or
by pressing W on the keyboard with default controls.

Opening it up will open a somewhat bigger window with a detailed world map.
Each blue dot is a street. Hover over a town or street to get the name. The
World Map does not work in anywhere outside of Maple Island or Victoria
Island.

-\ /-
--Equipment Menu--
-/ \-

Equipment is the core of MapleStory. You get to look different, attack
depending on your weapon, and affect your stats. Without it, you'd be a
weakling. You can also manage pets.

You have to open the Item Menu too. Here, you'll see a diagram of yourself,
and various boxes. Drag and drop an Equipment Item (from the Equipment
section of items) and it'll be on you. This also applies for Pet, by clicking
the right button you can see your pet and taming animal.

Note! There is a glitch that happens if you press the HP Pet button without
dropping anything, you will disconnect. Some people might scam you -
ignore it. (or insert a witty comment back like 'I did' without doing
      it, that'll teach them. Heh.)

To remove an item, simply double click it. It'll return to it's rightful spot
in it's items. If you have Equipment, it doesn't count as an item, so if you
Equip, it saves room.

-\ /-
--Item Menu--
-/ \-

This is probably the most important menu of them all - the Items. Items are
a key part of the game, they decide what happens and special effects that can
make a huge difference!

For starters, if you press I or the Items tab from the menu, you'll open it
up. There are five different sections: Equip, Item, Set-Up, Etc., and Cash.
Double click an item to use it. Drag it away from the window to drop it (with
an ARE YOU SURE? message)

At the bottom of the window is a Coin, and then a number. This is the amount
of Mesos you have. Mesos are the currency of MapleStory. In the world, they
come in different values. A bronze coin is valued 0-49 mesos (less than
10 cannot be dropped by a person) A gold coin is valued 50-99 mesos. Paper
bills stacked are worth 100-999 mesos. A sack is worth 1,000-50,000 mesos.
You won't ever find more than 50,000 without hacking. Click the coin button
to open a window that shows how much you want to drop. Be careful, because
you can't get it back unless you pick it up again!

The Equipment items are items that you can Equip. Open up the Equipment
menu and drag and drop an Equip from the item box, to the Equipment Box to
Equip it. Double click it to use it faster.

The Use Items are items that can be used for an effect. The most common are
foods and potions. Double click it to use it immediatley, or drag and drop
it to either the eight key menu, or the Control Manager to use it on quick
access.

The Set-Up items are miscelaneous objects. These are mainly chairs. Chairs
can be set up, and if you don't move for a while, heal your HP and MP faster
than normal. You can also get certain event items in here.

The Misc. items are items that mostly cannot be used or fit into any of the
other categories. These are mainly monster drops. Some can be used, however,
by double clicking.

Cash Shop is a real-world cash payer that gives you extra money. Click the
Red Cash Shop button to go there and look around. You can charge money by
going to your account. I will not go too deeply into this, as it is really
simple. This is where all of it is stored.

-\ /-
--Party Manager--
-/ \-

Woot! Party! Not really. A Party is a group that can keep in touch and share
EXP together. Press P to access it. At the top, you can also quickly access
your Buddy List, Guild, and Blacklist (a simple list)

To start a Party, select Create a New Party. Then, click Invite and type the
person's name in, or right click someone and select INVITE TO PARTY, OR click
someone twice and select Add to Party. A lot of choices!

If you don't want to start a party, or don't want to be a leader, you can ask
to join a party. Someone must invite you first, and you must select OK from
the bubble that will pop up.

Now, from there you can Invite up to six people, or Expel them. If you are in
a party, if you're in the same map, you share EXP, and also get bonus EXP. The
killer doesn't get all the EXP, but gets about 1/2, and the other half is
split for the others. You also share Mesos in the same manner. Along with
that, you get bonus EXP.

The best part of Parties is Party Quests. Party Quests are en masse EXP that
give you a lot of EXP, which will be explained much later.

-\ /-
--Buddies Manager--
-/ \-

Buddies are, well, buddies. You have their Username, you can check when they
log on and off, and you can whisper exclusively to them. Well, that's it I
guess.

To add them press R, or click Buddies. Type in their name to add to your
buddies list. You can only hold up to 20 people, but you can expand your
buddy list ... for a price. Go to a certain person all over and you can
expand your buddy list limit in increments of 5.

-\ /-
--Stats Manager--
-/ \-

Ah, stats. The more in depth thing that gives you power, and defense. Press
S to access it. You can see your Stats. No ... well, you can do more than
that. You can see your Character information, as well as detailed stats,
and most often, raise your stats.

Each level, you get 5 stats points. Click HP (Health Points),
MP (Magic Points), STR (Strength, DEX (Dexterity), INT (Intelligence), or LUK
(Luck).

Each one has a different ability.

Health Points - increases Max HP. Lose them all and you die.

Magic Points - costs these to cast a spell or use a skill

Strength - increases attacking capability, and slightly increases Defence and
           HP.

Dexterity - increases accuracy. Also slightly increases avoidibility.

Intelligence - raises magical powers, not skills. Also slightly increases your
               Max MP.

Luck - increases avoidibility. Also slightly improves Accuracy. If you die,
you lose less EXP than you would if you had less Luck.

You raise them carefully. If you look at the classes section, you can see just
what to raise. This should clear up the infamous Dice Roll when you first
create a character!

-\ /-
--Skill Manager--
-/ \-

Skills, skills, skills. Life revolves around skills. No, really. Skills give
you power, and your attacking ability. Actually, it's the only proper way for
a Magician to attack.

At each level (prior to your first job) you get 3 Skill Points. You hover over
a skill to get the information, and add to it. The number is how much Skill
Points you have in it. The more skill points, the stronger the attacks!

Here's the catch - although it seems you'll get them all in time, you won't.
There's more skill points than skill max levels. Ooh. Burn ... You must
decide carefully what to do, and that's where builds come in from the Class
section.

Each Job Advancement you get a new skill book. Click it to see all your
skills, awesome! Each different branch of job gives you different skills to
learn, your character is your creation!

There are three types of skills: Passive, Supportive, and Active. You can
tell the difference between the three easily once you know what they are.

Passive skills are skills that after you add SP into them, they cast
permanent effects on you, usually raised stats like higher MP or higher HP
recovery, or better avoidibility. These cannot be turned off.

Active skills are skills that can be used immeditately. These are most
commonly attacking skills, like Magic Claw, Power Strike, Slash Blast etc.,
but can also be other non-temporary skills, like Slow on a Wizard.

Supportive skills are the best skills that temporarily raise a certain
aspect of you, or more importantly (in some skills), your party. A little
box appears in the top right corner. A grey rectangle will slowly creep up,
and when it's at the top of that skill, it will blink, and then the skill
goes away. Some skills have cool-down times, where you have to wait until
you can use it again. (it also has a grey rectangle timer)

Wow ... a lot of jobs there!!! So, what do these guys all do? All past the
second job are the same.

Warrior
--------

Warrior's generally use melee weapons to attack close up

   Fighter
   --------

Fighters usually use one hand swords and axes, and most of the time use a
shield. They are slightly faster than the other Warriors (not to say that
Warriors are fast, anyways) and can equip a shield.

   Page
   -----

Pages usually use swords, axes, maces, and occasionally a shield. They
are probably the best of the Warriors, and can actually use a few
elemental melee magic at higher levels.

   Spearman
   ---------

Spearmen use the strongest - spears and pole arms for the cost of speed
and a shield. They also, however, are said to have the best skills. (Iron
Wall raises defense of PARTY and Hyper Body greatly temporararily raises
max HP and MP of PARTY)

Magician
---------

Magicians use MP to use skills rather than attacks, and usually attack from
afar

   Clerics
   --------

Arguably the best class for parties, these guys heal for the cost of bad
   solo attacks.

   Wizard (Fire / Poison)
   -----------------------

Wizards are almost the same, but they have Fire and Poison, a bit stronger
   but bad mob control.

   Wizard (Ice / Lightning)
   -------------------------

Wizards are almost the same, but they have Ice and Lightning, a bit weaker
but better mob control. (they can attack up to 6 enemies simutaneously)

Thieves
--------

Theives have great avoidibility and speed.

   Bandits
   --------

High speed melee weapons, a weaker but MUCH, MUCH faster Warrior almost
   with thief special skills

   Assassin
   ---------

Expensive but powerful class - they are nimble and use long range, with
   great speeds and skill.

Bowmen
-------

High accuracy and long range

    Bowmen (Hunters)
    -----------------

Bowmen have less powerful but good speed compared to a Crossbowman.

    Crossbowmen
    ------------

Crossbowmen have more power but less speed compared to a Hunter.

A lot to choose from. But, how to take care of them. This section ... is what
it's all about. But - which is the BEST class? The possibly most common ever
question. Each is different at different waves. Here are the 'waves' and
levels of strong and weakness, but they all balance out in the end.

Magicians are likely the most unique of the Four Classes. They cannot
attack. Physically, that is. They attack using magic, spells. Without that
or MP, they're futile.

But luckily, they have MASS magic and MP, so there's little to worry about.
Most reach 2,000 MP by Level 30. But with that comes a down side - HP. They
finally reach 1,000 at about Level 85. All the rest get them at Level 30,
Warriors at Level 20 or so.

Their attacks mainly revolve around skills, rather than physical, even at
early levels. Unless you're a Strength Magician (which is a completely useless
just for fun thing that's actually rarely more powerful than a perma
beginner)

We'll start by going through the very beginning - once you've gotten the first
eight levels down (yes, Magicians are lucky!) you can keep going and learn
how to keep a perfect Magician.

Magicians have a variety of Magical Skills.

Improving Mana Point Recovery
------------------------------
Passive
Level of Importance: ***

This is a pretty important skill. Normally you only recover about 3 MP every
10 seconds. With this, you may collect up to about 100 MP every 10 seconds
around Level 50.

Improving Max Mana Points Increase
-----------------------------------
Passive
Level of Importance: *****
5 in Improving Mana Point Recovery

This is the most important Magician skill. This increases your Maximum
MP gotten from a level up - therefore, extra MP. Also, if you decide to raise
your MP via stats (highly not reccocmended, but still) you get extra MP.

Magic Guard
------------
Supportive
Level of Importance: *****

Level 1 : MP -6; Replace 11% of HP damage as MP for 1 min. 51 sec.
Level 2 : MP -6; Replace 14% of HP damage as MP for 2 min. 12 sec.
Level 3 : MP -6; Replace 17% of HP damage as MP for 2 min. 33 sec.
Level 4 : MP -6; Replace 20% of HP damage as MP for 2 min. 54 sec.
Level 5 : MP -6; Replace 23% of HP damage as MP for 3 min. 15 sec.
Level 6 : MP -8; Replace 30% of HP damage as MP for 4 min. 6 sec.
Level 7 : MP -8; Replace 33% of HP damage as MP for 4 min. 27 sec.
Level 8 : MP -8; Replace 36% of HP damage as MP for 4 min. 48 sec.
Level 9 : MP -8; Replace 39% of HP damage as MP for 5 min. 9 sec.
Level 10 : MP -8; Replace 42% of HP damage as MP for 330 sec.
Level 11 : MP -10; Replace 49% of HP damage as MP for 381 sec.
Level 12 : MP -10; Replace 52% of HP damage as MP for 402 sec.
Level 13 : MP -10; Replace 55% of HP damage as MP for 423 sec.
Level 14 : MP -10; Replace 58% of HP damage as MP for 444 sec.
Level 15 : MP -10; Replace 61% of HP damage as MP for 465 sec.
Level 16 : MP -12; Replace 68% of HP damage as MP for 516 sec.
Level 17 : MP -12; Replace 71% of HP damage as MP for 537 sec.
Level 18 : MP -12; Replace 74% of HP damage as MP for 558 sec.
Level 19 : MP -12; Replace 77% of HP damage as MP for 579 sec.
Level 20 : MP -12; Replace 80% of HP damage as MP for 600 sec.

This is the second most important skill. Why? This is your life saver. At
much higher levels, enemies will do more damage in their attacks then you
have HP. With Magic Guard, this will take about 75% of your MP (which you
have plenty) away from the attack, and then you only take the remaining 25%
(when maxxed) attack. When used in conjuction with Improving Max MP Increase,
this gives you "HP" comparable to a Warrior.

Magic Armor
------------
Supportive
Level of Importance: *

Level 1 : MP -8; weapon def. +2 for 54 sec.
Level 2 : MP -8; weapon def. +4 for 68 sec.
Level 3 : MP -8; weapon def. +6 for 82 sec.
Level 4 : MP -8; weapon def. +8 for 96 sec.
Level 5 : MP -8; weapon def. +10 for 110 sec.
Level 6 : MP -10; weapon def. +12 for 144 sec.
Level 7 : MP -10; weapon def. +14 for 158 sec.
Level 8 : MP -10; weapon def. +16 for 172 sec.
Level 9 : MP -10; weapon def. +18 for 186 sec.
Level 10 : MP -10; weapon def. +20 for 200 sec.
Level 11 : MP -13; weapon def. +22 for 244 sec.
Level 12 : MP -13; weapon def. +24 for 258 sec.
Level 13 : MP -13; weapon def. +26 for 272 sec.
Level 14 : MP -13; weapon def. +28 for 286 sec.
Level 15 : MP -13; weapon def. +30 for 300 sec.
Level 16 : MP -16; weapon def. +32 for 344 sec.
Level 17 : MP -16; weapon def. +34 for 358 sec.
Level 18 : MP -16; weapon def. +36 for 372 sec.
Level 19 : MP -16; weapon def. +38 for 386 sec.
Level 20 : MP -16; weapon def. +40 for 400 sec.

This skill is actually quite uesless if you have Magic Guard. Although 40
extra Weapon Defense seems like a lot, a percentage is much better at higher
levels.

ie, Bob has maxxed Magic Armor whilst Sally has maxxed Magic Guard. They both
have it activated when Crimson Balrog comes, who does about 2,000 damage. He
hits both. Bob takes 1960 damage (2000 - 40) while Sally takes about 250.
Bye Bob!

Magic Bolt is a good skill, don't get me wrong, but when you have a shiny
Magic Claw skill in your face, it seems pretty bad. It is a projectile that
will hit once. It cannot go through solid platforms. (on the other hand, any
monster with high Magic Defense is better off with Magic Bolt, but it's still
better to raise Magic Claw)

Magic Claw is a great skill worth maxxing. You attack twice as a projectile
that does greater damage than Magic Bolt, AND it can go through stuff.
Awesome. And - it has no element. Meaning you can attack enemies with good
elemental weakness.

The formula for your attack is simple.

LUK = L + 3 for L = Level

Your LUK should always be three above your level. This is neccessary to enduce
the clothes avalible to wear.

INT ~ (3 x L) + 9 for L = Level

Basically, you should add whatever else into INT. This formula is stating
that the three after each level should go into LUK, and 9 for the roll. Your
roll should be:

STR = 4/5
DEX = 4/5
INT = Whatever
LUK = Whatever

Mana Point (MP) Eater is a great skill. It allows you to possible absorb
some of the enemies HP with an attack. If you use Thunderbolt or Ice Strike,
then you have a free mass potion.

This will increase the party's magic attack for some time. It's a good skill,
but it's only good on Mages - and it doesn't raise an enormous amount of
Magic Attack, either.

This is a good skill. Although it only has usefulness in Party Quests, it's
fun. You can reach the highest of places and taunt people, you also move
around much quicker - and something Haste can't do is you can teleport
down.

I found using this is a bit complicated at first, but you'll get the hang
of it. Put it on something easy to press, like Spacebar. Walk left or right
and press the teleport button to teleport in that direction. Crouch and
press spacebar to teleport down. Hold up and press spacebarr to teleport
up.

Note that if you teleport up and you can't move, you waste MP. If you teleport
left, or right at a wall, you teleport only to the wall. With the exception
of down teleport, you cannot pass through walls, though you can pass through
platforms. (only downwards)

This does much less damage as you can see than Cold Beam, but what's cool is
you can hit up to six enemies. I'm kidding you, right? No, seriously. But
the cost is the weak damage. Even with insane INT, at Level 1 you will
struggle 2 Hit KOing a Snail. Seriously.

Henesys Party Quest is located in Henesys Park. To get there, go to the
portal in the silver arch near the East side of town. Or, go to the second
portal in the Market, the portal to the West.

The party quest area is generally by the bunny. Most people recruiting, or
trying to get a party are in Channel 1.

This PQ is great, because it allows all levels. It was designed dor Levels
10-15, but you can have some higher levels, persay Level 50 join in and help
you, or maybe a friend. You can't do that in other PQs.

Note a few things.
You have to be Level 10 or up to participate.

Only one party in at once per PQ per channel per world.

You must have three or more people in your party.

You must have three or more people at the same map (from a certain distance,
usually about two eye-sights away)

============================
III2. Getting a Team========
============================

To get a team, simply say, Joining (or, in PQ Slang, J>) PQ, or Party Quest.
If you have good atributes, let's say a high level, or a great class, include
it.

"J> PQ, Level 19 Sin"

Add extra stuff that may attract recruiters.

"J> PQ, Level 19 Sin, Very EXPd, I throw Kumbi"

Stuff like that.

Soon, a blue box might appear saying someone would like you to join. Click the
check box.

=============================
III3. Getting In=============
=============================

To get in, basically follow the leader. A few important terms:

CC: Change channel. It is usually followed by a number, in the PQ case. This
usually means there's already a party in, so find a different one. Usually if
someone who isn't allied with you says 'CC', it usually means that they had the
channel first, and it would be polite to switch.

Track: Track is a track used by typing in /find charctername. You can use that
to tell which stage their one. It's of little use in Henesys PQ though.

Scout: Scouts leave a little bit early, to see if people might try to get in.
They might record their names, so they can have a track.

These are the basics, more in the PQ Slang section.

Anyways, your leader will do most of the work for you. After you get in, get to
work! Continue in the next section.

IV2. Planting The Seeds===
==========================

You first spawn by the Tiger NPC. He's mainly for the leader.

Your goal is to plant six certain plants by the moon. When the moon turns full,
the Moon Bunny will spawn. You must defend him while he makes ten Rice Cakes.
The leader then turns them in, and, that's about it.

First, it's best to organize two planters (only one if you only have three
people in your party) and the rest as seed gatherers.

SEED GATHERERS

Have the Seed Gatherers hit the plants. The plants are green, tall, and have
brown leaves. Note it takes about ten seconds after you first get there for
them to spawn.

I reccocmend regular Strike, crouch and strike, regular, crouch. That gives you
about the wait time for you to send another strike. That way, it will take care
of them faster.

After the plant falls, it MIGHT drop a seed. It's about a 1 in 5 chance. The
seeds are:

Purple, Pink, Brown, Yellow, Green, Blue.

Keep track of them, and say them aloud.

Now, repeat. After the planters tell you everything's been found, head up
toward the cloud where the Moon Bunny spawns (marked as >><< in the map) and
wait patiently for the bunnies and enimies to spawn.

PLANTERS

Planters are those who gather seeds, and then plant them.

Around the moon, at the upper part of the map, ar six platforms covered in
grass. These are called footings. They are barely big enough for you to stand.
Your job is to simply drop all six of the seeds on the footings. Sounds easy
enough, but there's a twist. Each seed has a specific footing, so you have to
keep on alternating footings.

A wonderful e-mail confirmed the footings. Thanks to bsdkid4ever

Thanks bunches.

Also, according to Neolord, (and confirmed by me) plants drop certain seeds.
If you look on the map, you can see what plants drop when you're missing
only one or two.

Now, in order to see that the seed was successful, you have to wait about six
seconds. If it was the correct one, a flower will grow. If not, it will
remain there. If it didn't sprout, cycle through the ones WITHOUT flowers,
and keep dropping and waiting.

If none of them worked, there's one of three things wrong, in order from most
common to least.

1) You didn't do every platform. Go back, and try again making sure you did.

2) You didn't wait long enough. You have to wait around six to ten seconds for
it to sprout.

3) That seed was already planted. This might happen if you don't keep track of
what you're planting, especially if you haven't assigned Planters and Seed
Collecters.

============================
IV3. Making Rice Cakes======
============================

After all six seeds are turned into flowers and put on the footings, the moon
in the middle turns full. That tells you it's time for Round 2.

Right then and there, a new member joins your party - the Moon Bunny. He's
cooking up something, but some monsters attack. You need to make sure that he
can make ten rice cakes, before he dies (yes, he has a HP bar, though it's
rare that he dies. Usually time runs out before he does, so don't worry about
it that much)

Have an even amount of people (person, in the case of three people) and have
the odd one out in the middle. Make sure the odd one out if there is one, is
either a strong player, or ranged (Assassin, Mage, or Bow(wo)man)

Have everybody attack like mad. If you see a monster come near, keep it away
from the Moon Bunny by attacking, even if you can't kill it in one or two
hits. Take care of your placement, make sure you focus on your spot only, or
else some monsters might sneak in from your side.

The main thing to worry about are aerial attacks. You may want to do this if
you have six people - put two on the Moon Bunny platform, one having equal
atributes of an 'odd one out', and have that person collect the dropped Rice
Cakes. Have the four other people spread out on the clouds near the Flower
platforms, the same footings. That way, you won't need to worry as much about
aerials.

To get into more details, the Moon Bunny produces a Rice Cake by not being
touched. If he is, he has to start the time over again, meaning it's more vital
to protect him (or perhaps a her)

The Rice Cakes drop usually right in front, so have either the Leader (who has
to turn it in) or the Odd One Out collect it. At the end, (you need ten Rice
Cakes) have the Odd One Out to drop them and have the leader finish this pesky
PQ up.

=============================
IV4. Bonus Round=============
=============================

After the chaos, and you finish up, you get 1,600 experience and you're dropped
out at the Shortcut. But it isn't bad this time, there's another bunny waiting
for you at the left. Have the leader click him to advance to the shortcut.

(Beware, click the other bunny, and you leave. If the Leader clicks any bunny,
you ALL leave to wherever he goes)

After that, you're in Pig heaven. A pig beach with better spawn, and it's
exclusive to you. Oh, wow!

It's simple, there's two sides, split by platforms going up. There's arrows in
the center platforms, and then ropes for the long way at the edges. If you're
in trouble, go to the Center or Side Platforms, then go up to the very bottom
or top. If you probably won't make it, jump to a rope and climb all the way
up. Heal if you can, if you ca't - wait 'till time ticks off.

You have 5 minutes of heaven, nevertheless your time leaving. After that, you
transport out back to Henesys Park, where you can rush (go in for a second time
without letting a waiting group get in, look in PQ slang) or simply leave.

Also, accoring to bsdkid4ever, pigs drop a lot more than normal. Along with
that, Iron Hogs are a bit easier to kill, and also drop good drops more
often.

============
IV4a. Drops=
============

Pigs drop more, and better items in the bonus round. Although you can go to
Pig Beach, it's alot easier to hunt at the bonus round, where drops are a lot
better.

VI. Method 2==================================================================
==============================================================================

Another method, is the individual method. It's shorter and less organized, but
possibly easier and certainly faster.

It's basically every man for him/herself. You hit plants, pick up the seed,
and plant it yourself. This'll save time from organizing and that junk, yet
it's still not as orderly as the other one.

Right before the sixth seed, summon everyone to the Moon Bunny platform (>><<
on the map) Then continue the same method in Method 1 for the Moon Bunny.

"After all six seeds are turned into flowers and put on the footings, the
moon in the middle turns full. That tells you it's time for Round 2.

Right then and there, a new member joins your party - the Moon Bunny. He's
cooking up something, but some monsters attack. You need to make sure that he
can make ten rice cakes, before he dies (yes, he has a HP bar, though it's

it that much)

That way, you won't need to worry as much about
aerials.

To get into more details, the Moon Bunny produces a Rice Cake by not being

to protect him (or perhaps a her)

The Rice Cakes drop usually right in front, so have either the Leader (who has

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

As you can see i'v highlighted some platforms in red. these are the platforms
that require people to stand on, when killing the bunnies and the green
asterix (*) are the monsters (the arrow things next to them or below them
show the direction they fly) and the lines ( | ) are the people. I have
suggested this method in all the hpq's i'v been in and it works perfectly.
(assuming you have 6 people) 1st of all you get 1 person (preferable a warrior
or a mage) to stand on the one furtherest to the left facing left and try to
kill everything coming from the left(you don't really need to kill, you just
need to do some dmg on them to lure them away from the bunny, but they will
follow you around until you kill them). You get another person (preferably a
theif or bowman) to stand on the platform furtherest to the right, facing
right and try to kill (or harm) everything coming from the right. You get 2
more people to stand (one on each of the 2 platforms next to where the moon
bunny is as shown on the picture) to kill any thing that the people on the
leftest or rightest side have missed or just to give further protection to
the bunny. Finally get the last 2 ppl (preferably the strongest) to stand
where the moon bunny is to kill (yes they have to kill) the stuff coming from
above. They do not need to worry about the monsters coming from their left
and right because the rest of the party are hopefully taking care of them if
all has gone to plan. That is the best method. However if you only have 3ppl,
then put 1 on the leftest side, 1 on the rightest side and 1 in the middle
(place the strongest member of the party or the leader in the middle). If you
have 4 ppl then put 1 on the leftest side, 1 on the rightest side and 2 ppl
in the middle. if you have 5ppl in the party, then put 1 on each of the 5
platforms (the strongest person or the leader goes in the middle). Yes that's
basically it.

I know that this may be a bit confusing but it is a wonderful technique. And
one more tip you might want to add is that if everybody wants to plant their
own seed it would be good to tell everyone else in the party what colour seed
they have planted because there was once a party i was in and everybody was
hogging over the planting seeds part and nobody said anything so we had about
4 out of 6 people running around with the same coloured seeds trying to find
where it goes and 5 minutes later they found out that it was already planted.
So it is really helpful if someone calls out (e.g. green done) etc. you get
the gist.

==============================================================================
VII. Method 4=================================================================
==============================================================================

This method was brought to my notice by Steven Watts.

"Secondly, there is another, widely used tactic that I don't believe you have
hit upon. It is a tactic called "Luring". Generally, when the monsters attack
the moon bunny, everyone attacks with their weakest attack with the sole
intention of having the monsters follow them. Thusly, they would be too busy
attacking you, not the moon bunny! This works every time, unless a person has
too strong of a weapon equipped.

Also, warriors with slash-blast work wonders! They generally equip their
weakest weapon, and attack, en masse. They usually can lure most, if not all,
of the monsters away from the bunny."

This is a good method to use seeing how the main goal is not to destroy the
monsters, but to keep them away from the Moon Bunny. Like it was said - moves
like weak Arrow Bombs, Lightning, and Slash Blasy all work well as keeping the
monsters away.

Along with that, another person has added a similar method:

"You could proceed as normal, but at the end, have a warrior use Slash Blast
and lure all the monsters to the right side and everyone else goes to the
left. If you do this, when ever the Moon Bunny makes a cakes it makes 2 at
the same time. Me and my party did this and got 50 cakes in just 1 round and
we still had 4 min. left. Just letting you know."

Thanks to Random Stalker!

==============================================================================
VIII. Leading a Party=========================================================
==============================================================================

Leading a Party is a bit different from following. The most part is just
getting a group together and going in - the rest is easy.

Try and get at least four or more people if you're under level 18. Six is the
best, but note - the more people, the more EXP has to be shared, so you've been
forewarned.

After that, ask if anyone has either an empty channel or track. If they do,
follow it. If not, or it proves unsuccessful, hunt for an empty channel.
(Channel surfing)

Then, click the bunny's OK, then 'Yes, I would like to go in'. If you can't,
fix it. If it says there's a party in there, wait, or continue surfing.

=============================
VIII2. Planting Seeds========
=============================

This is relatively simple. Just follow everyone else, you can be any job you
want to be. The only difference is the fact that you have an extra action to
the tiger, turn in Rice Cakes, except that's not even in this round.

=============================
VIII3. Making Rice Cakes=====
=============================

Again, not much difference. The main difference though, is to collect Rice
Cakes. You have to be careful, and NOT die. If you do, everyone loses,
including yourself.

At the end, you have collected ten rice cakes, talk to the tiger NPC at the
beginning, and choose the second, or middle option to be taken back to the
Shortcut.

Now, it's best to choose the left bunny, even if you don't want to bonus. It's
polite, since the party members should deserve it. Even if you don't do
anything, you get a fraction of the EXP, only for the cost of five minutes.

You're in charge of scouts, tracks etc., but don't leave yourself! When you
leave, everyone else leaves with you!

I check this (my business/secondary E-mail) once a week. If you do not get a
reply, it usually means it's on the Do Not Send List (if it's minor like
grammer, I usually send back) or I have not checked it. Double check your mail
to make sure.

If you wait a week, and everything's on the Do list, send me once more. No more
than 3 sends per message, and no more than 3 different messages per month.

DO LIST:
Send me CONSTRUCTIVE, not ranting, criticism.
Any grammer/spelling mistakes.
A question
Comments
Praise
Information
Help
Method/Strategies
Fixes and Errors

DONT LIST
Foul language, inappropriate things, etc.
Bad grammer (i meen horble lk tis)
Ranting (there's a difference between Ranting and Criticism)
Spam

Other than that, thanks for sending. Expect a reply in a week!

This is the official Trixter stamp of copyright. The stamp varies extremely
minorly, so any guide without the stamp is NOT mine, and is taken illegally.
Since the stamp varies, I should be able to prove to you the difference by
