Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast

Asked on: 5/30 6:41PMI am in the Candlekeep library near the end of the game.
When I enter the library, the video clip keeps playing over and over. If I pursue it long enough I can get my characters off the main level and the video quits.
When I get to the 6th level the gatewarden won't accuse me (whether I killed Rielter or not). He tells me an unusual character wants to speak with me in the outer grounds. I have tried several methods and cannot get transported to the jail. If I go back outside the libray there is no one waiting to talk to me. I can't find a way to get to the candlekeep catacombs.
What do I do?

statusSounds like your game is corrupted. Try reinstalling, and ensure you have the latest patch. Also, make sure the game CD is undamaged - if it is damaged you may need to resurface it or get a new one. The unusual character you want to talk to is Koveras. He'll typically want to give you a ring that supposedly belonged to Gorion. The events inside Candlekeep library won't trigger until you speak with him first, then enter and leave the library.
