Asked on: 2/23 2:16AMI am playing the PC version of FF8.
Right after visiting Trabia and the cut scenes about the past and the matron, I've arrived at the orphanage like the game insisted I did, yet I can't go inside the building from the over world. I understand that's not where I should go, and yet no matter how many times I ram Blamb into Galbadia, at many different angles. even got out of Blamb and ran around under Galbadia no event seems to trigger like the walkthrough's say it's supposed to.
am I missing something? perhaps a button you are supposed to push or an event inside Balamb you are supposed to encounter beforehand?
I'm just pretty much stumped, =/
and hoping someone has an answer.
I'm not completely sure if this is technical or not, I've had absolutely no problems running the game so far so for right now...I do not believe it's a technical problem.

Unfortunately even with following what you-[ Darklord_sama ] said triggering the cutscene seems to be a no-go.
I tried redoing a bit of the game [I had an earlier save from Balmb town before Trabia]
and got to the "Find the orphanage" point again and it still provided the same problem where nothing would trigger the cutscene or an event. checking the orphanage leads to nothing at all angles,
not even a prompt that you probably can't go there, or that it may be locked.
And as previously stated moving the gardens next to each other or ramming them into each other seems to do nothing as well.

statusIf your at the orphanage and cant go inside it and there's another Garden right outside it then you should be able to get your garden to engage it in a battle just by getting both gardens next to each other and a cutsene or how ever you spell it. point is after you try to go in the orphanage you shoud be able to start a battle just by flying your garden close to the other one.
Before the whole orphange. you have to fight the matron at the other garden.
im not quite sure where you are in the game.
ive beaten this game completely 4 times.
after reading your additional comments, the conclusions i have come up with are
1) try pressing X (or the action key) next to it?
2) your game is broken i'm sry ;_;
