Hello,

I'm running vista and I haven't experienced any problems with DII:LOD

I ran into a similar problem playing the original diablo .... I remember just exiting the game and starting it again. Sometimes the game would start with the dots some times it wouldn't

best of luck!

I have the same problem when i play starcraft but it doesn't happen when i play D2. All you have to do is restart the program that should do the trick

If your in the middle of playing and suddenly the screen changes to coloured dots two or three minutes after starting I had this same problem when running D2 on windows 98. To get rid of them just try pressing Alt+tab to minimize the game and when you open the window again they should be gone and not reappear until you join a new game. The problem fixed itself for me after about 2 months and I have never seen it since.

It seems most technical problems with DII can be solved by minimizing the screen, as this one, like xRyoden said; I have an issue with the game, too, it flickers a lot, but then I minimize it and maximize it and then it's gone. Try that, it may work (though that is not your actual issue). Either that or restarting the game. Good luck.

Hello, your problem can be because you might you have a low video card. My friends have experienced the same problem and when they upgraded their video card they played it good. They have windows XP so i think it's not about windows.

This seems very much like the problem had when running the old Fallout games on newer versions of Windows. As has been mentioned, alt-tabbing out and back, or minimizing the screen will fix it. It might not fix it the first time, or the second, or the sixth (if it's anything like Fallout), but if you keep flipping back and forth eventually it WILL "fix" itself. Sad, yes, but useful.

Also...I have noticed when this happens to me I have IE operating in the background...and somtimes when an ad wants to pop up my blocker gets it butmy screen looks like lite bright...so make sure you dont have IE running in the background (or, if you do, dont leave open a website that continuously updates.)
