Is there a reason(s) why this game is M rated?

Can I get details?

I want to play this game... But if there is a very good reason(s) as to why this game is M, I will not get it.

Is there a lot of blood/gore? A lot of swearing?

Oh yeah, if there is blood and/or swearing, can you turn it off by any means at all?

There is blood and gore every time someone is killed by something explosive, but it's presented in a humorous way. It's nothing gross like guts or anything, just meaty chunks. You'll get used to it quickly.

There may be a patch to remove the blood and substitute the gibs for something else, but I'm not sure.

No outright swearing, but you'll hear words such as "damn" every now and then.

That's true, but in addition there's blood no matter how people are hurt/killed.
