Question from Pixalia
Asked on: 8/5 5:40PMNeed 5000g for my epic flappy. Suggestions?
Hey buddy.
To answer your question, the best way to effectively "farm" is to do the many daily quests available when you are lefvel 70.
Alternatively, you could also try farming Primal Shadow or your respective gathering profession if you have one- Mining, Skinning, Herbalism, for example.
Hope I helped.

statusHello,
One of the best ways I use to farm money is farming primals. Check out which ones go for the most on your server. For fire, earth and air you can do that in The Elemental Plateau in Nagrand. For mana I do the mana wraiths or any mob in Kirin'Var Village in Netherstorm. For Shadow I farm the elementals around Oshu'Gun in Nagrand.
The easiest way to make money is no doubt dailies though, you can easily make 200 gold a day without a sweat if you don't mind repetition. Do that in The Sunwell Plateau, or do the quests to get the dailies in Ogri'ila, The Sha'tari Skyguard, and Netherwing daily quests. The last daily quests are the heroic daily and the normal level 70 instance daily. You do these in instances around outland and they provide nice rewards with a decent amount of cash.
Last, use your professions. If you are a enchanter DE a ton of outlands greens and blues (preferably weapons on the greens, Greater Planer Essense sells for 10 gold each on my server) you can grab these through dailies. Tailoring is not much of a money maker besides the cooldowns of your different cloths you make, namely spellcloth, shadowcloth, and mooncloth. If you are lazy you can just sell the cooldown (four days.) The gathering profesions are quite obvious. I don't know much about jewelcrafting, leatherworking, and blacksmithing though.
If you have more than the maximum amount of daily quests, be sure to do the kill mobs/loot mobs ones. They may take longer than some other quests, but the items rewards make up for it. I find blues all the time.
Mining is a big money pit, also i would say enchanting if you can find ppl to give enchants to. Doing all the dailies gets u 250g a day. While in Isle of Que'Dalnes some of the enemies drop motes of mana u need 10 to get 1 Primal Mana. Those sell about 30g a piece. Also another way to make fast money is to look at the AH and find the undercut prices and sell them like everyone else for example if u see 4 bars of gold at 5g and all the others are 8g buy it and sell it at like 7.99g and u would have made a quick 3g. This can be done with anything on the AH u just have to spend ur time looking for things like this. Do all of this and u will get ur epic in no time. :)
Try to find BOE epic items and sell them at the AH.
At a high level, you can hang out around Un'Goro and not worry about aggro, and you basically just cruise around there and mine Thorium. On my server, they go for 40g a stack, which is easy. This is kind of slow, but as far as easiness goes, you can't really beat it. Do it if you're poor and are out of arrows or something, then use that money to play the auction game.
To quote Kunzite's Gold Guide Subtitle: "How I Made 100,000 Gold.".

The best way is to blacksmith and do quests.
Buy low sell high. just hit the ah and set buy outs for all the items u put up for sale.
Making money comes in quite a few different forms. And doing ONE of them usually isnt the best way.
I suggest doing a quick daily run up on the Isle. You will make 100 gold in an hour. Not a bad start for the day. From there, take your preferred profession on the road. If you are mining, remember that Iron/Mithril are still very valuable and often times it will earn you more money per hour than farming Fel Iron +. While you do have a chance to pull out some Motes of Fire while farming the higher tier stuff, its up to you which you would prefer doing.
Herbalism will net you cash too. Not much anymore though because Wrath is on the horizon and everyone that has powerleveld inscription hs already done so. Raiding is at a halt on most servers because nobody cares anymore. So flasks arent as expensive as they once were.
Skinning is always a seller. It hardly ever puts the gold out that the other two gathering professions do, but it sells easier imo.
With the acheivment system comes 2 easy ways to make money.
1) People wanting the Ambassador title. Farm + Sell Runecloth. On Icecrown Im selling stacks for 10 gold. Not bad at all considering how fast and easy it is to farm.
2) Cooking achievments. Tons of people are leveling cooking because it is easy. They just dont want to farm the mats for it. Neither do I. But fishing supplements cooking and you can rake in some easy cash from an hour of fishing at.. almost any level.
As far as farming primals, its pretty moot now. Nobody needs the Primal shadows now because if a guild is still learning Sharaz, whats the point? You dont even need the SR now, most guilds with a decent chunk of DPS can down her in a minute. That includes Tier 5 guilds. Primal lifes arent really work farming either (taking from my server). The price dropped from 15-20 gold to 5-7 gold per Primal. Waters + Air's wont sell as well either. They are mostly used in crafting recipe's and people dont much care to make those now that wratch is coming in less than a week.
So as far as primals go, I wouldnt even worry about those. If you pick some up, bonus... but dont farm for them.
You can still farm greens at low levels and sell them on the AH for insane prices. Level 57 greens go for a lot on my server.
Whatever you do, try to do a combination of 1-2-3 things instead of just 1.
Do dailies, farm primals, farm epics, farm herbalism, skinning, mines
The best way I found to farm money (before getting epic flying mount) is to farm motes of mana. The area in Netherstorm where you can farm them is a gold mine, they constantly drop motes of mana, they have a very quick respawn rate, and they have a decent drop on greens. Even the gray stuff they drop vendors well and there is a repairman/vendor right there, so you don't have to worry much about your bags getting full.
Also, if you're an enchanter, farm Arcatraz and get the Savagery enchant. People are constantly looking for this enchant in trade channel and usually tip 10g or better.
I managed to get my epic flyer by doing all the quests that i missed in outlands, i barely touched netherstorm or shadowmoon while lvling so i went back to those areas and cleaned up about 2000g with all the crap i got from rewards and sent the BoE items to my enchanter to DE
gotta love selling greater planar's for 75g for stacks of 5 lol
Play the AH. The Auctioneer addon helps tremendously with this.
By using the BottomScanner function included in Auctioneer, you can find which items are selling lower than what their true value is, so you can repost them for a profit. Being an enchanter helps with this as well, because oftentimes their DE'd mats vastly outvalue the original item.
If you spend about fifteen minutes every other day or so doing this, you can make more than 50g a day without ever having to leave a city.
