When I first played this game, it was on my first computer. It froze RIGHT when I got to Aragog. What happened?

*sigh* If anyone doesn't know what I'mlking about, I played it around 2005-2007 on a White PC model Windows XP (not DELL).

I now own a NEW DELL XP Black and now I CAN'T load the game I know the password and successfully installed it, but I cannot play the game. Any thoughts?
I think it's the limmitations of an older model of the XP compared to the newer model XP.
