Asked on: 8/23 4:56PMEvery time I try to go from one area to the next, it kicks me out of the game instead of loading. Do I have to start over, or is there a way to get it to keep going?
I haven't seen that problem before. I will go through possible options.
1. Patch the game to the newest and apply the fixpack. The fixpack is a fan-made patch that fixes extra bugs, but these are gameplay bugs. They are not crash bugs or loading bugs. The official patch probably fixes some of that though.
2. Run the game as administrator. Some people have said the game would ask for a CD, but did not recognize when they put the correct CD in. Maybe your computer is just crashing when it has that problem. You just need to right-click the game and in the compatibility tab there is an option for Run as administrator.
3. Reinstall the game. This is a last resort, which you would do if the game data is somehow corrupt. You might also want to do this anyways to do a Full install. With full install you don't have to worry about swapping discs. The game loads everything off the hard disk, although you still need disc 1 in the drive to start the game.
That's all I can think of. You might want to post on the Bioware forums if you still have trouble.
