Age of Empires II: Gold Edition

I just got this game and I can't hear the voices in the cutscenes of the campaigns. They should be in the folder age of empires II/campaign, but there is a blank text document there. How do i fix this?
You have to have the CD ,or if you downloaded it, get a better download
