I can't register even though i have the internet?

I can't register for a spore account. Every time i try to it says that my computer can't access the spore server and i have an internet connection. So what is going on? Was i supposed to register the minute i ran the game or what?

Probably a firewall problem, your computer may be blocking outgoing connections.

Answer

Normally, Spore will access through a normal firewall. However, a few things that may be blocking it.

If you're behind a router, you may need to enable port forwarding on it. Spore is UNPN enabled, but your router may not be.

If you have a non-windows firewall set up, such as Norton internet Security with firewall, or McAfee, etc, it may be blocking the port. Most of the special firewall programs have an option in them to allow exceptions.

If neither of the above is your problem, and you're connected directly to the internet without going through a hub, router, firewall, or another computer, you may want to place a call to EA Customer Support.

I have the same problem but I have more details. I have a vista with the firewall turned off. When I first tried to login with my already registered account, it said failure to login. So I just made a new account and it worked. I got the update and did online spore stuff then I turned the game off. When I came back on and I tried to login, it said error connecting to spore servers, and its been saying that since,

Answer

Make sure that you have your password.

1.Get some help with the password thing.
2.It will let you change your password in the/teh E-Mail
3.Then type in the name for the acount and then type in the/teh password.
4.Make sure that you type it in correctly and then try it.

If that does not work you have me stumped.
