My computer is vista and it does play the music. It only doesnt say things like we captured a command post or they are losing reinforcements.

At the first few seconds when i play i can hear these sounds but later it doesnt.

statusIs that the only problem with sounds? Sometimes when I play the game, the music or all of the sound goes away.
Is this just at certain times that you can't hear the dialog, or is it all the time? Or can you not hear any sound at all?
If you cannot hear anything and the sound usually works, unplug your speakers (or whatever the sound comes out of), and plug them in again. If this doesn't work, exit the game, take it out of the CD drive, and clean it off. Then put it back in and restart the game. If THAT doesn't work, either your speakers are defective or you have a problem with your CD. Also, you could have possibly just muted the sound in the "Audio" menu under "Options".
Look in your settings and see if you have turned off the battle speech.
