I can't find the thing to buy the mp3 player and portable electronics.
Please help.

statusYou'll need the University expansion pack. It can only be placed in community lots, so you can't access it if you're at your own Sim's house.
If you don't have the University expansion pack, but have Nightlife, there's one lot in the pre-made Downtown district which has the kiosk. I'm not sure which one, though.
