Why won't my game load?

Its been a long time since I have played this but thats because it wont let me. Every time I try to load the game the opening picture of the walker will appear then nothing. its like it will stop reading disc. I've tried a new disc. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I'm out of ideas. I"m not sure if I just have a corrupt file or what but I"ve tried everything I can think of. Any help would be great.

Answer

It may be trying to load a corrupt movie file. Go to your
'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Movies' (Default)
and move or delete the files 'EA', 'Dice' and 'Intro'. Each one is one of the movies that play at the start. From the sound of it, you may have a corrupted 'Dice' movie file so it just reads it, fails and tries again forever. See if this works anyways.

I had this same problem with my xp. I think it may have been a problem with the RAM. How much RAM does your computer have?
