statusThe green and red bars are used to compare weapons. If you have a weapon equipped in one of your slots, and another weapon that occupies the same slot placed in your inventory, then hovering the mouse over the weapon in your backpack will show that weapons stats, and possibly some red or green bars as you noticed. The green bars for a specific stat say that the weapon you're looking at is better for that stat than the weapon you have equipped. The red bars say the weapon you're looking at is worse than that of the equipped weapon.
For example, if you had an assault rifle equipped in your weapons slot and had a shotgun in your bag, hovering the mouse over the shotgun shows the shotgun's stats. You'd most likely see a green bar for damage, as shotguns do more damage than assault rifles, but a red bar for accuracy, as shotguns are less accurate.
Best weapons assult rifle - ---- AK 74 full tuned & with a Scope
Armor ------------ SEVA or BULUT
Handgun------- Any one upgraded and repaired using 9X18 ammo
Shotgun -----none
Sniper -- SVD
Or Join Duty
Each stat is different
Recoil is recoil, the higher this is, the less it recoils
Stablity is accuracy
flatness is damage
most of the stats are self explanatory
also, i recomend a maxed out l85(the il86 in the game) over the ak, it comes with a scope and its better than the g36 of SOC
A fully upgraded AK-74 will carry you through the entire game until you can get a weapon you really want. It is inexpensive in terms of upgrading and money is rather easy to get middle part of the game before you really take on the main quests. From there, there is a bit of personal preference though going with a weapon that uses the NATO rounds is best as the main enemies use them. A GP-37 is a pretty nice weapon, as it comes with a built in scope and I find it the most reliable.
The stats of weapons when you hover over them; lighter blue represents the weapon's current value, if a particular stat is green then that weapon is better in that regard while red means it is not as good. In the assault rifle world though, most of them have similar base stats with a few differences. Upgraded though, some are much better than others though depending on how you go.
In regards to upgrades: recoil affects the accuracy of your weapon under sustained fire so less recoil means a tighter spread of bullets. Flatness increases damage of the weapon, stability helps with accuracy. Reliability reduces the chance of jamming. Most of the other stuff is self-explanatory.
The basic upgrade paths for weapons is either intense accuracy with a significant amount of damage, or fast firing kill machines. Headshots are very effective early on and help immensely later on so more accuracy makes it easier to get them and over longer distances.
Actually flatness doesnt increase damage because the damage of the weapons is fixed.what it does is to increase the muzzle velocity meaning your bullet will reach its target without dropping as much as before the upgrade because of the gravity
