"Great game bad rep, release date"

I picked this up after having played the beta test. The beta test was the most bug ridden game ever to appear on the PC I believe... back when the release date was November 05 and it was October then, was still bug ridden... Knowing that I still preordered and picked it up on release. First of all the release date wasn't a great month being April most people are still playing Oblivion, and Kingdom Hearts 2 which were some big releases for March.

Graphics: 8/10
I give graphics for AA and 8 because they are nothing like "OMG this is amazing" and they also are not "Wow... my Ps1 looks better than this" They are average compared to others. Nothing like EQ2 or Oblivion but still pretty good. The graphics for the collisions impress because in the highway maps you can literally destroy everything insight (except for friendlies).

Sound : 8/10

Being of a fan of some techno music, and liking the apocalyptic earth theme makes the music fit well. Some areas don't really have music but when the areas do it sounds really good.

Gameplay : 8/10

Quest, Quest, Quest. Most of the game is questing unless you like the tedious work of grinding and there is a crafting system, which I think isnt very enjoyable, but you might find it entertaining. The crafting system contains of collecting raw materials from things you destroy like buildings, fences, etc and then you can refine it or use it to craft something such as armor, weapons, power plants or repair kits. Gameplay is just a regular MMO with the vehicle, hightech, apocalypse theme on it much like every MMO out there with a different skin on it .
Reminds me of City of Heroes or City of Villains, you might like this if you liked those. There is also PvP which is a nice change and it gives XP and also money.
3 races and 4 classes for each. Each race has 4 unique classes.

For those of you who think Auto Assault should be free, This is an MMO, MMO = Monthly Fee.

Overall 8/10
They fixed mostly all of the bugs, plays smooth, runs smooth but controls maybe hard unless you use gamepad or joystick. Running on a DSL and I have not seen any lag at all. Collectors Edition is only worth it if you want the Headset with Mic because there are no other headsets with mic for $10 or less and the collector's edition pet is useless. Great game that lacks popularity and maybe bad reputation from some beta testers. Hope this helps you make your decision.
