"Not the best horror adventure game out there"

Without revealing too much, this is a first person adventure game that falls under the horror genre.

Game play (6/10) - The game play is simple. Left click on items when the cursor turns to a hand or a magnifying glass. There is little game play besides picking up items and using them to unlock doors, etc. The game allows you in most cases to look around 360 degrees to check out a room. The game is pretty difficult since it does not provide too much direction and the only way to check that you have made progress is by checking what time it is. I am not aware of a situation where you can die, so there is no reloading to try a different solution to a problem.

Story (4/10) - The main character moves into an old Victorian house and weird things start to happen. Kind of cliche but once you find out why strange things are happening it gets slightly more interesting. It's no Steven King story though.

Sound (6/10) - The voice acting is decent, but there is not much else to say. There is suspenseful music from time to time but I think the designers could have used sounds to make the environments more vivid and scary. The sound effects are apt and will change the mood if you're playing in the dark, but again, they could have put more effort into it.

Graphics (7/10) - Being a first person adventure game, the graphics aren't stellar like an FPS but I find that graphics are not as important as story and game play. The environments look lifelike and believable, and I thought the 360 degree viewing was a nice touch. Since it is a horror game there was not much lighting, but this can be adjusted. It's hard to find a happy middle where it's easy enough to see what you're supposed to while leaving it dark enough for the scary mood.

Replayability (2/10) - The game is extremely linear and I am not aware of many different paths to take.

Overall: 5/10 - If you can find it cheap and are a big fan of first person adventure games, it might be worth checking out. Not for your first time adventure game player.
