Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup

"Quidditch: A game for Harry Potter fans or waste of megabytes?"

For all the people who don't know, quidditch is a sport played in the wizarding world. In this game you basically try and score as many goals as possible while waiting for the snitch bar to charge up. It becomes easy very quickly, especially for all the non-Firebolt difficulties.

Graphics: 9/10

The graphics aren't crystal clear, but they are close enough and get the job done. Imagine the detail of a bludger as it smashes into an opponent chaser. You can see the player's faces clearly while you are playing and not only just in cutscenes. That's why I give it a 9.

Sound: 6/10

The music can be rather irritating after you've played for at least 15 minutes. And the announcer can get on your nerves after you've scored a few times. Out of sheer irritation, I give this a 6.

Gameplay: 6/10

The game forces you to play 150+ matches just so you get all the quidditch cards and so you can claim victory. You can sit there for 20 minutes scoring constantly, making the score 400-0 yet the snitch still doesn't show. There are 4 levels of difficulty: Comet 260, Nimbus 2000, Nimbus 2001, and Firebolt. For the first 3, expect scores like 270-0 or 330-10. On Firebolt difficulty, though, expect scores of 350-70. So that is why I give this category a 6.

Replay Value: 3/10

If you want to play this game again after you have beaten it, please see a doctor. No one in their right minds would play this game over again after they beat it. It takes way too long to beat it the first time. This category recieves a 3.

A. I. 6/10

The AI has horrible defenses and a terrible offense. In one game, I played on Firebolt difficulty against the "best" team Bulgaria. I beat them 290-40. The seekers could've been improved so that you don't always catch the snitch. That is why I gave this category a 6.

Overall: 6/10

I think this game could've done better. If only the game wasn't so long, the replay value would be higher. That is my review. Thank you all and good night.
