"Not great, not boring."

The first time I saw this game in the shop, I thought "it will be SO much better than the first game!" ...but I was wrong. Zoo tycoon 1 is much much better than the second game. Anyway, here's the ratings:

Graphics: 7/10
The graphics in the game are good. You can zoom in very close and rotate the park in no time. This sounds great, eh? The only fault is that when you zoom in, nothing seems real. When you fully zoomed in, the whole game becomes more cartoon-like.

Sound: 4/10
Almost the only sound in the game are when guests whistle. The animals are almost quiet....weird. You can put some music boxes in the zoo, but they get very annoying.

Game-play: 6/10
One big plus for this game is that you can do the zookeepers job. You can place your own food and drink, wash your animals, and clean up after them. It's also tons of new toys for your animals. It's lots of scenarios to play, and free-play let you have unlimited money.

But, one BIG minus is that it's so few animals! In the first game, it was over 100 animals to chose from, and in the second... it's only 30! Because of that the game gets boring quite fast. when you have made all the animals, it's not much to do.

Replay: 8/10
The re-playability in this game is ok. Because of the small amount of animals, your zoo's becomes almost the same. But some of the scenarios are really challenging, so you can play them for a long time.

Challenge: 5/10
The free-play in the game, when you have unlimited money and all the animals and objects unlocked, is really no challenge. In the first game, it was a little hard to make the exhibit good for the animals. In the second, it's very easy. But the reason that I gave it a five, is because of the hard scenarios.

BUY OR RENT?
I think this is a... good game. Not great, not boring. I recommend the first one. But if you want a game that is not very challenging, it's kinda worth the money.
