"Blitzkrieg. Possibly one of the best RTSes Ever"

A pair of dive bombers is heading for my troops stationed on the western portion of the map. I scream for fighter support, but it just wouldn't happen. I resign myself to defeat as the Stukas tear my tanks and troops apart. Just then, my planes are available to come back and shoot down the Stukas, but alas, it's too late. The Stukas are shot down, but my core units are killed. Noooooo!

I hang my head and fume as I reload the scenario, yet again.

Welcome to probably the best ever WWII RTS, CDV and Nival's Blitzkrieg.

Graphics
The graphics are nice, with plenty of booming explosions and vehicles even have different animations for how they're killed! How cool! Even Generals didn't have that, of course, Generals is a lot different and unrealistic...

Gameplay
Very very frustrating. It pays to be careful, and reloading games all the time is usually the norm. There's an upside though, and that's the immense satisfaction when you beat the mission. Frequent save games are encouraged. Also, nothing can beat the fear rush of a squadron of Panthers rolling into your base and everybody desperately trying to kill it. Can you feel the adrenaline? CAN YOU FEEL IT?! As a nice hint, upgrade as much as you can to better stuff. Analyze. Thicker, tougher armor, and a bigger gun? Thank you ma'm!

Audio
Spotty. The British and airforce pilots sound good, but Americans sound forced. Almost as if the same people that did the British did the Americans. The explosions sound good though, both the firing of the weapons and the hitting of the shells/mortars/various exploding objects. The tanks and cars and placed guns all sound terrific when exploding, even if it is your own troops. The resounding BOOM along with the screech of tearing metal makes me happy.

Conclusion
A good game with great rewards, balanced nicely, and the game follows historical toughness to the letter. I got Blitzkrieg for 9.99 at Target, and I suggest you all do the same for this great and awesome game.
