"Best Puzzle Game Ever!"

Forewords
*****************

To begin with, it's 16 years since the first Monkey Island was released back in 1990. I was also born then. Anyway, I came in contact with this game this year because I wanted a easy played but a tricky puzzle game. I saw some reviews for this game, and they made me get the game quickly. You're now about to read a review about the world's best puzzle game ever!

Story And What you'll do
******************************

Your character's name is Guybrush Threepwood, a quite strange name, but he doesn't care about it. Guybrush wants to become a pirate, because he want to steal, drink grog's, and hang out with stinking pirates on the sea. He begins his journey on an island called Melee Island, and he finds some pirates at a bar. To become a pirate he must perform the three trials, and they're not that easy to solve. That's when his journey begins. You will walk around the island, collect items and then try to figure out where to use them. It's not that easy, because you're not given that much clues. It's always about using your head. You will meet many characters, and the dialogues are very funny because you can choose what Guybrush should answer in a conversation with a character. You will also visit another island called Monkey Island, where you will find new items and new characters. The length of the game is great, and you will get a hang of the story once Guybrush meets the governor of the island, which he falls in love with. Soon she will be kidnapped by the fearsome ghost pirate, LeChuck. Guybrush needs to find a crew and a ship to set sail after her, and free her from the evil pirates.

Graphics
*************

Well, don't expect any "great" detailed graphics since it's from 1990. But together, the pixels are making two very cosy islands to explore, and of course you can se their mouths move when they're talking.

Sound
*************

Well, at the beginning of the 90 's they're using blipping sounds to create the music. It actually surprises me how well done the sound is made. But sometimes it can get annoying though. There's no voices in the game, but there's subtitles and they're very fun to read because the dialogues are very funny.

Gameplay
*************

If you're not using a walkthrough for Monkey Island, it might take forever for you to complete the game, unless you're very smart. The length is very good, and after the first round, wait a while and then play it again. I can promise that you will hunger for it again. You can also try to beat it under one hour if you want, because it's possible. Have fun, which means that this game is worth buying!
