Guild Wars Nightfall

"Guild Wars continues to do me good service"

First off, I will be doing no negative reviewing, only stating the good factors, and I have my reasons. Guild wars has, and still is one of my favorite online games, despite its many flaws and drawbacks.

This time around, we are introduced a new area, elona, with another story to follow. I've never been particularly fond of following the story, myself, so parts of this review might be biased, but it does seem interesting all the same. The new features in this game are great additions. some consider them lazy attempts for drawing in the crowd-which I also do agree on-but I still enjoy them nonetheless.

On a particular note, our two new characters this time around are absolutely awesome. They may be the same old same old, but I've been a fan of scythes for as long as I can remember, and they have the proper wardrobe to fit the look. The skills are great, as far as I can tell, and allow you to use your enchantments to also benefit your damage (which, I might add, is something I like to abuse ^^). Monks are a great secondary for this class, simply for the short enchantment costs, casts, and recharge times, which make this class that much more deadly. Paragons, I can't really go on about, because I have yet to play one, but I do look forward to it soon.

The hero system is something I've grown fond of, as it adds a bit of party customization in general. Switching around their skills, and their ability makes us able to make a party fit for certain areas, and adds a small bit of challenge if you should decide to control them in the middle of a battle alone.

The new continent in general is as big as ever, bringing that much more for exploration. The theme seems to be an African, or maybe ancient South American, and is another feature that drew me to this new installation.

All the other tidbits they threw in there, like the new items and all, have made this an interesting campaign in the Guild Wars series, and I hope for the next to be just as enjoyable.
