"What GTA should be!"

Scarface: The World Is Yours, is by far one of the best game I've played in a long time. Everything from graphics to sound is perfect. In my opinion, the GTA series could learn a couple from Scarface. But anyway, onto the review:

Graphics: 9/10

This game is gorgeous. The likeness of Tony Montana is dead-on. The town of Miami is rendered beautifully. The buildings, cars, water and boats look amazing. If there was anything that was a little off for me, it would be the minor fact that the characters use only one finger on their hands, the others are "glued" together, a la GTA.

Sound: 10/10

The soundtrack for this game couldn't have been better. All the classic 80's tunes. I just wished that they would have included a few more of the lesser known songs of the era.

Story: 8/10

The story reflects something that I hated about the end of the movie. I hated that Tony got killed at the end, but this game gives us the chance to see what would happen had Tony Montana survived the assult on his mansion. A great cast of actors, including the voice actor personally chosen by Al Pacino to play Tony Montana. The voice acting is top notch with over 32,000 lines of dialogue. The story is a straight-to-the-point revenge plot that works really given the source material.

Gameplay: 7/10

The gameplay on this game is something that, at least using the keyboard/mouse setup, needs to getting used to. The driving aspect is managable. When you start getting more powerful cars they get harder to control. The boats are much easier to control as they advance. The shooting apsect is fine-tuned. Plus the ability to "pimp your mansion" is a very interesting thing to do.

Replay: 7/10

Like GTA, the replay value is not that great. You can explore the towns, take over gang-occupied parts and find some sidequests but nothing much else.

Buy or Rent: Buy

This game is a sure thing.
