Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Review by Hippomonkey3
"Better than the First...except..."
Yes, the second KOTOR Outing is even better than the first! Except for the fact that it has some small kinks. You'll find it for 35-45$ on average, and it is mostly worth it's price. The ending is so disappointing it makes you almost wish you'd forgot you had party members.
Gameplay- 9.5
Slightly better than the first game, but not by far. It now allows you to corrupt or sway your companions to the light or dark side, which is NICE. The fighting is same as before, so if you didn't like the first you wont like the second. There are more feats, and you can even become a Jedi Master/Sith Lord. The storyline is on par with the first. However, unlike the first there is a *gasp* useless character. So much for balance. You can also turn most of your party into jedi if you gain enough influence, but the problem is the last leg of the game you must go solo.
Graphics- 9
Pretty much the same as before, but a bit more refined. Some things are smoother, but it isn't easy to notice them. It looks nice, and you'll feel like your in Star Wars.
Music-8
Nearly the same quality as before. I found myself popping in Queen and listening to that instead, but if you like it then good for you.
Sound- 10
Once again, stellar voice overs and star wars sounds greet the ear. The only problem is GO-TO's voice, but if you don't use him then you wont have that problem.
Replay- 7
The replay took a huge hit here. The endings SUCKED, meaning you wont be able to enjoy the fruits of your efforts the FIRST TIME around. Of course, there are multiple love arcs if you are a guy, which raised it a point. I don't think you'll play this one a second time around unless your a real fan of the first.
So, KOTOR II, while better in some respects, is worse in some areas. It wasn't too different than the first, which is a good thing.
