World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
Review by Keniken
"An excellent expansion to an excellent MMO."
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, is, kind of obviously, the expansion pack to World of Warcraft.(I will refer to World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade as WoW: BC from here on out). They added various new features with the expansion pack. All of them impressing me. This will not be formatted like most games since it is a review for an expansion pack, not an entirely new game.
Repetitiveness: 10
Not repetitive one bit. It wasn't in WoW, and adding even MORE endgame features just sweetens the deal oh so much. Whether it's saving for your flying mount or doing various instances to get some new gear, WoW: BC always has something for you to do.
Graphic Improvements:
I didn't give this one a number rating. The two new races: Draenei and Blood elves, have slightly better graphics to them than the old 8 races. It's still not noticeable enough for you to have to make a draenei or blood elf and abandon your old high-level character. The blood elf and draenei starting zones also have quite more lush starting zones than the other races. The blood elf starting zone looks so paradise-like, while the draenei starting zone is filled with crystals from the Exodar crash. If you consider the new flying mounts a graphic improvement, then I guess that could be one.
New Gameplay: 9
The primary added features of WoW: BC are: flying mounts, two new races, new instances, the outlands, and jewelcrafting. Flying mounts are...well, flying mounts. The alliance get gryphons while the horde get wind riders. There is also a rare netherdrake that can be found. These are controlled kind of like swimming.
The draenei and blood elves are two races add. Draenei joined the alliance, blood elves joined the horde. Both of these races with their starting zones and capital cities add lots of space to the world. They both look cool and unique.
The new instances add lots of gear. Great for high-level players. Also cool new stuff you have to do in them.
The Outlands is an entirely new continent, almost as big as Azeroth. It is mainly for high-level players. And has unique quests such as riding a flying mount and dropping weapons on enemies.
Jewelcrafting obviously makes jewelry. You can make trinkets, rings, stuff like that. Very fun new profession.
So, if you play WoW, or are looking to play it, I highly recommend you get this expansion pack with it. It is excellent for beginner and experienced players alike. Happy adventuring.
