Garfield

"Garfield fans will love this game!"

This is an original take on Garfield. I've been reading the comic books for years and when I saw this game in Best Buy I just had to buy it. When I got home and tried it I loved it, even though the game was not the greatest game overall, I still found it very addictive.

Audio 8/10:
The audio is nice. Garfield talks every now and then and the sound effects are done nicely, the sound can get annoying after a while.

Graphics 10/10:
I loved the graphics, they brought the comic strips into 3-D and they look good! Unlike other games where when they take something that was 2-D and bring it to 3-D, the people look all funky. The area around you was done quite nicely. The graphics, though, do not look realistic but cartoony. I however love them and I'm glad the company who made this game brought my favorite comic book to life.

Gameplay 7/10:
The gameplay is good, although now perfect. You are Garfield who has to go around the house and vacuum up things that are not in the right spot, you must then replace them in their rightful spot before Jon gets home. Odie will be there trying to mess you up. There are also mini-games to be played. A feature I liked was that you could go everywhere in the house! The bad part is, the gameplay can get repetitive and annoying when you have no clue where the items go.

Stress o meter 7/10:
This game can be very stressful. Especially if you don't know where an item is or where an item will go. Sometimes you will want to pull out your hair and yell: "Where the %&$@! does that item go?!?! I hate you Garfield!!!" If you have heart problems or have recently had a heart attack, stay away from this game!

Rent or Buy:
You can't really rent PC games, but I recommend buying it. I got it for $15 at Best Buy (where they normally over charge)and it was new, not used. It will be worth every penny.

Overall 8/10:
If you are a Garfield fan, buy this game, but if you either don't like games with no violence, cartoony graphics or Garfield, AVOID THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS!!!!
