Worldwide Soccer Manager 2007
Review by Fransiska
"Eh, is this a football manager game?"
To be honest, this game isn't that great. Several factors affect this game's performance but ar least this so-called manager game is quite nice and challenging. Well, for you, fanboys and fangirls of Football Manager game, you can assure that this game has some addictiveness rating (as always) in it. :)
Gameplay:
So, once you start a new game, you'll be asked to choose ONE team based on your own choice. You then able to CONTROL every aspect of you newly-assigned team, from buying new players, selling your old players and even suggest to your chairman a request for a new link to a feeder team. What? A feeder team? What's that? Well, it's a new feature that just included to this game. Overall, there are several nice additions on this game's gameplay, you will be surprised by them :D
Score: 9/10
Graphics:
As usual, we are provided with text-based game with some rather creepy.... graphical matches. Most of the time all we could do is seeing, clicking and typing the player's name. Nothing more. However, we can now see that SI has arranged the menu and the most important button nicely, so as to help us react faster and easier to remember. The graphic itself is still 2d-looking based games. There's no spectacular CGs and/or fantastic lightning strikes as they appear on RPG-based games. When we enter the football match, there are only dot vs dot go after dot..... You know what I mean, right? All in all, the graphic is quite well-made as they appear no graphical glitches fixes thus far.
Score 8/10
Sound:
I laughed when I knew that this game's sounds really really utterly awful. Heck, what did you expect? All we can hear is our supporters 'BOOOOO' and 'HOORRAY' when we enter the football match ONLY. No, there are no background musics or opening themes....
Score 3/10
Control:
Alright, so they've added 'Customize' menu so we can set our own hot keys. The basic hotkeys aren't bad, but you might find this menu useful somehow.
Score 10/10
Replayability:
A MASSIVE one. You can try different club each time and try different approach when manage that club, so you can expect nice replayability for this game. Play on a lower divisions such as English Division One can be very nice and challenging for you.
Score: 10/10
Drawbacks:
So, the most annoying thing is this game is FULL of bugs. I had my player's history wiped out once, and got a very severe glitches on players' bans. The easiest way to remove those glitches is by downloading patches, trust me. Also, please remember that this game now requires faster computer than the previous series.....
Recommendation:
I'd recommend you to buy this game, despite its flaws.
