Adventure Inlay

"A fun puzzle game that requires patience..."

Adventure Inlay was a PC game that was released about two years ago. Here is my review for Adventure Inlay.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics in this game consists of real life pictures of people, animals, palaces, etc. While you are playing a level, a real life picture of a gorilla or toucan can lay on the side of your screen. Although I am not very fond of these type of graphics, they do fit this games atmosphere. I give the graphics an 8.

Sound: 9/10

The sound featured in this game has a tribal kind of tone to it. Each of the levels has soothe and calm African type music. You probably won't be paying attention to the music that much anyways. I give the sound a 9.

Controls: 10/10

You only use the space bar and mouse in this game. The mouse is used to pick up the pieces of the puzzle while the space bar is used to rotate the pieces. This makes the controls very easy to learn and it won't mess you up in the harder levels. I give the controls a perfect 10.

Gameplay: 8/10

The objective to this game is to fill in the grid of shapes. At the bottom of the screen, different shapes will start popping out from the side. Each of the shapes are different shapes and some of them are geometrical while others are not. You must pick up the shapes and put them in the grid. If the shape does not fit in the grid, then it must be discarded.

The objective to fill the grid up with the appropriate shapes. Once the grid is filled then you can progress to the next stage. You also get other items like Staffs that give you extra shapes in the grid and Pick Axes that chip away some of the stray shapes. You cannot have your cache of shapes fill up at the bottom or else you will fail the whole game. Extra shapes you do not want to use can either be discarded or destroyed by the Pick Axe.You can only discard a shape after three seconds though so planning what shapes you want to put in the grid is necessary. I give the gameplay an 8.

Replayability: 10/10

This game contains 60 levels and 4 different modes. Each of the modes are different but have a similar objective.

Final Recommendation:

This game is a must! It is only about $19.99 right now. Get this game if you love puzzle games.
