Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Review by JF7X
"Kane never dies."
Command & Conquer 3 is the latest C&C game out there. Released by EA on March 26 2007. In this game (unlike the last one) it goes back to what makes the C&C games unique and unlike any other rts game out there. The old classic side bar is back and so is Kane. The story line is still GDI and their struggle against Nod for world domination except this time a third side comes to join them. That is the Scrin. So just like in C&C TS Firestorm in the middle of the game you are forced to be friends with your enemy.
Gameplay 10/10: Since the side bar is back every thing is good. C&C just was not made for one of those command-workers-and-have-them-build stuff type of rts game. However this game does require a lot of power to run so please make sure you can even run it at all. I have known some people who complain that their computer is too old to run this and then they get major lag. The game is pretty much like the original C&C except with a few new gimmicks like the crane and the squad instead of single infantry( like Dawn of war).
Graphics 7/10: Now don't get me wrong, the graphics are nice it's just that it requires a pretty good computer to run (which sucks).
Sound/music 8/10: The music isn't bad in the game and it is nice to hear the old sound effects (ie people screaming) and the lines the commando says.
Controls 9/10: Like every single rts game the mouse is probably your main controller unless your use hot keys as well.
Replays value 7/10: The game has som replay value just because you can play as the aliens and also just because you can play online.
I would say to get this game if you have a good computer and if you are a hard core C&C fan. Other wise you are not really missing much if you don't get it since it is just C&C with better graphics.
