The Sims 2 Nightlife
Review by Gamefreak_94
"I thought it wasn't that bad"
The Sims 2 Nightlife is the expansion pack that comes after University or the second expansion of the Sims 2 series. It is basically to get your couch potatoes or bored-to-tears Sims out of the house and enjoy the nightlife of Downtown, a pre-created sub-neighbourhood of any neighbourhood.
What I liked most about Nightlife was that it had many new clothes, some outfits from University converted from a young adult's to an adult's. There was also the long-awaited furniture, rugs, although there were only a few. Also, I liked the addition of the supernatural Sims for this expansion pack, the Vampire Sim. They are somewhat like normal human Sims, but they actually possess some interactions that normal Sims don't, such as, "Stalk Here", "Fly here", which is cool because the Vampire Sims transforms into a bat for a very short duration to get to where you had instructed him to. There are also the cars, that your Sims can own and drive to work, woohoo with other Sims in it and take a spin with it. However, you need to place them onto the driveway or garage, which you can simply make yourself. There also one very awesome addition to this expansion pack. When you move, for example, Pleasantview's largest house into the House bins, it will become unlimited. It means you can put as many of that enormous house into your neighbourhood without worrying that it will run out. (unless you delete it, of course!)
What I did not really liked about this expansion pack was that there were only two new hairstyles for both female and male Sims. They looked okay, I guess, but I use it rarely. I didn't know what to say about the female Sims' new hair....they looked pretty awful except for the long hair with the Countessa crown on her head.
Overall, I thought The Sims 2 Nightlife was a pretty good addition. I recommend this to those who love to create community lots and to especially the Sims 2 hardcore fans. If you are doubtful of whether to trust my review, I suggest you rent the game first and give it a try. Once you feel that it's worth your SING$42.90, go ahead and grab a copy and start installing your The Sims 2 Nightlife.
Good luck in making your decision then.
