"An old game, but still one of the best on the PC"

The worms games have been immensly popular, with armaggedon staeling the show. After playing that work of genius, i decided to seek the original. So i got it on budget for only $5 for worms and syndicate, another great game. But enough with the life story, lets look at the original worms.

The game is controlled the same, and the interface is basically the same as worms armaggeddon. Select a worm, a weapon for that worm, and then aim the weapon, get the appropriate power, judge the wind and fire. Although its not that complicated, you can use an infinite amount of tactics.

The graphics are pretty terrible, but this game is nearing seven years old, so i guess they were pretty good for then. the backgrounds are still pretty good today, with the custom ones looking good.

The sound is grainy but classic. You can choose a variety of hilarious accents. My favorite is ''norsk''. Each worm will say something when they fire, when they get hit, and a farewell when they die.

The game plays like this: you take it in turns using one worm at a time. each worm has 100 Hit points. You then choose a variety of weapons some stronger, but fewer, some weaker, but unlimited. you take a shot, then the other person has a go. you've just gotta kill all the other worms.

The best part of the game is making your own teams. I had fun naming the enemies after some particularly horrible teacher i have and lowering their IQ right down. a great stress reliever.

one of the only bad points is that no matter how totally stupid the computer players, they are still so uncannily acurate with their grenades. Im sure team 17 are'nt even that good. Overall, i think everyone should have this game, and a about $3.00 at a budget sale, if you see it, get it.

As if no one had reviewed this game before! its great!
