Chron X

Review by Dunam

"Chronx, the game in which you won't be booted or insulted every 5 seconds by other gamers!"

Note
IVainshtein has already covered the background story in another review on gamefaqs, so that information will not be provided in this review. I suggest you read that review before reading this one.

Decency

Those who have played starcraft or diablo on-line know that playing on-line games will have you on your toes from the first moment: No one has time, everybody keeps booting you out of rooms and people keep shouting through each other. While this might be slightly exagerated, it is true.

Now ChronX, an on-line (collectible/tradeable) card game is just the game that's different. Most, I repeat: ''most'' chronx players are friendly and won't rip you off if they had the chance. There are on-line price lists and newbie pages which can help you on the way. Additionally the makers (genetic anomalies, or GA) have created guides, which are dedicated ChronX players. They help newbie's on any occasion possible.

Worth for your money

If any game is worth your money, it's chronX. Here are X reasons why it is worth your money:

1. It is playable for free without time limit. The catch is that you won't be able to trade, participate in tournaments or increase your collection in any way. You will however be able to play games, chat and try out the campaign against the computer. In other words get a taste of the game.
2. If you have tried it as an unregistered (as soon as you pay you count as registered. If you choose not to register, you won't have to pay!), you can already register for 10$, which gives you acces to every aspect of the game (see 1) and also gives you a bunch of cards.
3. If you have registered, you won't have to pay ever again (of course you can buy more cards). You can still increase your card collection by participating in tournaments or contests.
4. Chronx has several factions (like clans) which can be joined. Each faction is set-up by chronx players and has different standards for joining. While some are only accepting the most skilled players, others accept anyone. Being in a faction gives you acces to faction based tournaments, where each faction fights for domination. Also they give you people you can be 100% sure you can trust and acces to a card pool, where all faction member dumps cards they don't need.

Still haven't convinced you? Try it out yourself!
