"Can't judge a book by its cover..."

And this book had a very weird cover. Dofus, such a funny name. My friend called me and said "Hey man, try out this game, its called doofus!". Imagine what I thought. But the game was way better than I expected

Gameplay: 10/10
The gameplay was very good in my opinion. You walked around, click on an enemy or group of enemies to start a fight. The battle gameplay was strictly turn-based. You move. You attack. Monster moves. Monster attacks. You can attack teammates in battle which really makes your allies really mad. Especially summoners. There is a PvP system in the game, but if you like fighting for other people's belongings, you'll be disappointed to know that it is a friendly fight for glory and there is no penalty in energy or items. Seems boring, but is addicting after a few battles. Leveling up is easy enough to not reduce you to throwing your computer out of the window but hard enough to be a challenge. Basically, a very sound gameplay scheme. Also, there is a myriad of weapons and armour to equip. You can also have a profession such as a farmer(Reaps different plants) or an alchemist (Makes potions). There are 12 classes including a crazed berserker (Sacrier), a drunk panda (Pandawa), a gambling cat (Ecaflip), a reckless warrior, and a few more. They aren't really as bad as I described them but that is all I could think of...hehe. Personally I like Sacriers. I like the crazed berzerker thing.

Music: 8/10
The music is okay, but is very repetitive which can get extremely annoying for me. It can be turned off so you can listen to your music whenever you get tired of listening to flutes.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics aren't amazing by a long shot, but you play zoomed out so it doesn't really make a difference. Your portraits are well drawn though, which are shown on the toolbar and in battle. You can zoom in on your character, but that barely makes a difference.

Interactions: 10/10
In the game you can form groups with friends or other characters to go and take on stronger monsters. You can also join guilds, but that is decided by the Guild Master's requirements. Guilds are good ways to make good friends and constant group members. The community in the game isn't that bad. People dont treat you like you're dirt, except for the occasional high leveled jerk who treats you like you're less than dirt. Sometimes some higher level character will join your battle only to kill you for fun. But that doesn't happen too often. Overall, the community is generally friendly. There are also people who speak other languages so expect some french and spanish to pop up.

Summary: 9/10
To sum it all up, this game is not a graphical phenomenon, but the game is essentially great and I recommend it to all people who like MMORPG's. It is a free game, but you can subscribe for a fee of $6.80 to unlock more areas and a free gift. I play usually as a lvl 13 Sacrier (Morgawrath) so add me if you want to XD.
