"Better than Civilzation 3!!!"

Conquest is the expansion pack for Civilization 3 which is a RTS (real time strategy game). With the expansion pack you get more and better units. There is pre-made scenarios like a WW II pacific setting, an Ancient scenario and an age of discovery scenario and lot's more. The game also comes with the multiplayer expansion pack, I haven't played it but it sounds good.

Game play

The game has pretty good game play all around. There are sometimes when in the turns there is nothing to do because all your units are moving or all your cities are building stuff. There are usually one specialty units for most Countries, so when you want to play every Country so you can try out those specialty units. There are lots of buildings you can build (I can't go into to much detail because I can't have any spoilers), there are the 7 wonders of the world that you can build and you get upgrades for each wonder you build. The pre-made scenarios are pretty good you can play through each one a feel that this really happened (witch in most of them it did) and that you are in the place of the commanding position of your men. There are different ways to win a game there are approximately 15 ways to win the game like, Culture victory, Power victory, building the UN and etc... There are also lots of difficulties I would say there are approximately 10 difficulty settings. In the game there are advisors you get like a military advisor, cultural advisor, domestic advisor and a scientific advisor. There are different time period in the game as you clime up the technology tree. You can talk to your rivals when you're in peace, you can talk to them about trading; declare war on them and other nations and etc… You can play as most Countries and Civilization, from Ancients time to the Current time, but no Canada :(

Graphics and Sound

The Graphics are good even on my Windows 98 and even better on my Windows XP, you can tell what type of units you have with out clicking on them(remember there are hundreds of units you can get.) The sound and music is pretty good and climes with the time period you are in. When your units are in combat there are real time battle sounds.

Playtime

It took me about one try some times two tries to play and win on the pre-made scenarios. It took me lots of tries to climb up the entire technology tree, but I did it. It only took me two times to win the game witch my first win was in annihilation (to defeat all other opponents)

Final Thought

Is one of the best strategy games I have ever played. I recommend you getting it if you have the original Civilization 3. Is defiantly worthy of the Sid Mier's title. Is an over all good game so I give it a rating of 8/10.
