Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

Review by therater13

"A fun game, but still not that good."

Knights of the old republic 2, from now on I will call it kotor2 for short. I thought this game was a big improvement over the first game, which I was not a major fan of, I would not call this game amazing but to say the least, it was fun to play. I did not beat it, I got around 90% of the way through then I got bored and quit but overall I think the game was decent.

Graphics: Weak, for the time the game came out, I find the graphics to be very weak. They pretty much look the same as the first game expect they are a little smoother, this doesn't mean the game is not playable, they are not that bad but they are below average.

Audio: I found the music and the battle sounds to be a bit lacking but I found the voice acting in this game to be a lot better then the first game, which sucked. The characters are all fully voice acted, except yours which would have been a bit better. The characters in general were more believe able though.

Story: In a way the story in this game is much better then the first game and in a way the story is worse. The story does not fit the star wars theme, instead of being black and white, the story is gray, there is a girl who just wants to kill everything, not just good or evil but good and evil. This makes it very controversial to the star wars universe since star wars is about black and white rather then grey.

Game play: I think the fights in this game are more involving then the fights in the first game, there is more options and such. I also think the combat system in this game still needs a lot of work to be really good. It can still get boring in longer fights. The squad members in this game suck, if I was in this game as a real person I would not let half those people on my crew on the ebon hawk. I hate it when games make you have forced companions that you just want to kill. That was the problem with the first game. The worlds in this game could use some design work also.

Meh buy this game if you are looking for an average rpg. Its not great but its fun at least.
