Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Review by therater13
"Another c&c game, another average rts."
Here is what I think about the new command and conquer game, tiberian wars. I think it is much better then the old tiberian sun game, though that really is not saying much, since that game was a complete waste of time. I also do not think this game is as good as the old tiberian dawn, command and conquer 1, that was a classic. This game has a couple problems. For me the main problem was the boring levels. Even the first GDI mission took me around an hour to beat, maybe its because I suck but I just could not really get into it and have fun. But I will get to the specifics on the problems in this game soon. Overall I can not say this was a bad purchase, I had a best buy gift card that I needed to use so that's what I used this game on.
Sound: Not bad, the voice acting is pretty decent and the unit sounds are alright, I did not really notice much music while I was playing the game though.
Acting: They had pretty good actors in this game during the cut scene's. Michael Ironside made me want to keep playing, he is a good actor.
Multi player: I did not get to play any multi player so I can not judge this section of the game.
Story: This is your basic command and conquer story, Kane is back and he is killing people. The g.d.i stop him, same thing that has happened in all the other command and conquer games and to be honest I am getting a bit tired of it.
Graphics: I must say I was impressed with how well the graphics have progressed, I would not call them ground breaking but they are nice, its nice to look back at the first command and conquer then look at this one and realize how far the series has come.
Game play: I can describe the game play in one word, average. The problem isn't with the game play itself but with the mission design. All the missions take so long to beat, I know this is a strategy game, but in other strategy games when long missions happen at least there interesting. This was a big let down for me.
I would say buy this game if you see it for cheap, then play the first command and conquer and you can realize just how long this series has lived, even though most of the games in the series have sucked.
