Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee

Intro

Abe's Oddysee was released in 1997 by Oddworld Inhabitants and it's one of the best games ever made. It's a game that almost nobody could imagine or think of...it's a totally different game and maybe that's one big important factor for its success.

Story 9/10

The story is simple and very good. You're Abe, a mudokon and a worker (more slave than worker) in a meat factory and you're not having so much trouble with your life. But one day, Abe discovers that the profits are decreasing and the glukkons had a plan. They decided to produce mudokons meat! Abe will do his best to save all mudokons and stop the glukkons from killing them.

Graphics 10/10

The graphics are absolutely fantastic! The sceneries look very realistic and so do the characters. Even if the game was released now (11 years later), the graphics wouldn't be bad.

Sound 10/10

The sound and music are very realistic and adequate to this game. The mudokons, bombs, sligs, slogs...they all have suitable sounds. Even the music suits to the situation you're in. If you're spotted or being chased the music will be scary and excited so it shows us we need to run fast!

Controls 10/10

There aren't glitches control-wise and it's fairly easy to get accustomed to the gameplay.
You will need to be focus and not do any mistake because it can be fatal. One sound or one step forward can kill you in an instant! So you got to be careful.

Gameplay 10/10

We can do a lot of things in this game such as communicate, hide, throw bombs, transform in to the enemy...Everything that we can think of doing when we need to hide and run away!
It's very realistic.

Overall 10/10

This game almost reaches perfection because it's a very interesting and funny alternative game that everyone should play and experience. It´s a game that you won't get bored of by passing only a few years. Even if some day you do, in time if you play it again, you'll get addicted to it again. It happened to me :).

Buy or Rent: Definitely buy

If you like adventure and alternative games, you should definitely buy this game, because it really worth the money you spend. I can guarantee that you will love this game. Every game lover should play it. Go to a near shop and buy it!
