"Am I a masochist? Yes I am..."

Dungeon Siege: Legends Of Aranna is an Action\RPG developed by Mac Doc Soft and published by Microsoft Game Studios. I won't lie to you, I wasn't one of these people that enjoyed Dungeon Siege, in fact after the first hour which was a bit of fun the rest of the game was actually a chore to reach the end. So here I am writing a review on its expansion. Am I a masochist? Yes, I am. Is it the urge to play every single game that falls into my hands? I don't really know, what I do know is that I've played it, I've finished it and now I'm here to tell you why YOU shouldn't play it.

Story: 1/10
Presentation: 2/10

Same stuff as before and maybe even worse. A new evil warlord or something has awakened and is threatening the world. You must kill him in order to restore boredom to the world or something. Once again there isn't any special background to the overall plot, the NPCs say nothing of any significant value and all the heroes are just unnamed grunts that follow you to your boring quest.

Graphics: 6.5/10
Design: 5.2/10

Like DS the expansion has good graphic quality bad very bad and dull overall design. We have once again the typical, forests, snowy fields and dark dungeons with the only addition of a large jungle area that doesn't have anything special and gets boring fast. The character and enemy models are of the same mediocre quality and the few new stuff just don't do something for me.

Sound: 4/10
Music: 4/10

Once again the same quality and maybe even worse! The same clanging sounds for ALL weapons, for ALL characters, for ALL enemies, the same mediocre magic sounds, your average monster voices and groans and the same ambience effects, (as if there where any in the first place). The first game had forgettable music apart from the main theme that I like a lot. This game doesn't even have ONE theme that I like. El Fin…

Gameplay: 2/10
Replay Value: 0/10

The expansion of Dungeon Siege has very little to add and no improvements at all. The game is just like DS with only a few stuff added that aren't fun at all. A few forgettable spells, a dragon like creature that unlike the donkey in DS can store stuff AND attack enemies, a few new enemies, (new designs but the same when it comes to gameplay), and a bit more complex level design… not that the game isn't still a straight line. DSLOA is the same game as before with the additions added providing nothing special to the player and all the problems of the original still not fixed.

Something funny about this game is the fact that it makes DS look good… yup, this expansion is very boring…

Positives:
-…

Negatives:
-Bad\No plot
-The problems of the first game still remain
-The few additions add no fun

Also Play:
Baldur's Gate (PC)
Baldur's Gate 2 (PC)
Dungeon Siege 2 (PC)
Neverwinter Nights (PC)
Neverwinter Nights 2 (PC)

Overall: 3.1/10

If I where to judge it as a standalone game I would pretty much give the same score I've given to DS, (4.2/10), but since this is an expansion I expected some additions AND some improvements. None where found so here is my final score and my humble opinion… AVOID!!!
