"A beautiful journey..."
Titan Quest is one of those games that fall within the realms of similarity such as Diablo. A simple point and click hack n' slash type game which for that reason alone became a wonderful gaming experience. But the simplicity and easy play style alone doesn't make this game great, it is essentially the entire game as whole come together for a great experience.
You start the game out as either a man or a woman, you embark on a journey which will take you through beautiful landscapes such as ancient Greece, Egypt, the Orient and Mount Olympus. The titans which were locked up for all of eternity have broken free to spread chaos on earth. The gods seek a warrior who will be brave enough to take on and accomplish the task of sending the titans back where they belong, will you be the one?
The graphics in this game are great. The environments are vivid and alive and literally spring off the screen. Having the graphics done so well makes the environments you are in that much more pleasant.
The bulk of this game falls in the game play itself. The game is very smooth and progresses nicely. Other than your main goal of dealing with the titans and all the chaos they left in their wake, you come across many other quests along your journey. That makes you feel apart of what you are doing rather than progress mindlessly. The system which they have in this game when it comes to leveling up is fantastic. After you hit a certain level you are able to choose a class, the classes consist of Rogue, Warrior, Spirit...just to name a few. After a few more levels you are able to choose one more class or just continue leveling the one you picked from the start. This makes your gaming experience stay fresh and if you ever choose to create another character or play in the future your gaming experience will never be the same.
If you like hack n' slash type games where you point and click your way through with an overhead perspective..you are in for a whole lot more! This is certainly a game you should add to your collection and you will not regret it. To recap you will be enjoying quite a long game, great graphics, a really nice leveling system, highly detailed environments, simplistic game play.
-Happy Gaming!
