Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit

"This will keep you at the edge of your seats!"

You want a game that has speed? and a game that will take you to the edge of your seats? Well, this is the game for you. This is one of the best Car Racing games ever to appear for the PC. This one has an excellent theme, ''Hot Pursuit'' and it hits right into it. Here is my criteria where I based my judgement for the game.

Gameplay/Controls (8 pts): Well, ever wished you could right a cop car and chase bad guys? Or even ride a criminals car and annoy those cops? Well, this game is the one to look for. You'll enjoy trying to escape from the pursuit of cops, or vice versa, trying to catch a speeding car. It really feels like it's a real chase. You'll enjoy every second of it. Another concept to add here is the variety of cars. One thing is good about this, they have a real-life counterpart. So, if you ever dream to drive a Lamborghini Diablo or a Porsche, well this game has got a nice collection of it. Not to mention, that you'll be playing on a simulated road where civilian cars are travelling. It will add to the excitement as you are forced to evade them. For the controls, it's a bit groggy so I took off 2 points. It's hard to maneuver at the corners but you can surely manage it.

Storyline (n/a): Well, this game doesn't have a story at all. Just pure chase so I won't include it in the points.

Graphics/Sounds (8 pts): Well, with the help of a 3D card, the graphics are very smooth and well rendered. I even forgot to drive and I just looked around at the environment and watch my 3D card at work. The cars are very well made and they look almost like their real-life counterparts. For the sound system of the game, it's very much realistic, each of the car's engine sounds resemble the true sound of the real ones.

I took 2 points because this game has a low realism. The car still runs after turning over and some other things like that.

Replay Value (10 pts): Trust me, you'll play this game again and again. You'll have a good time trying to experiment on using different cars. You can increase the difficulty by using a very slow car against a faster one. And there are lots of places where you can have your chase so you'll have fun trying different things and it will keep you from playing another game.

As a conclusion, if you want excitement from a driving game, this game is what you'll want. You don't have to worry about spending as this game is worth it. You'll really feel the Need for Speed.
