Portal

"A fresh, new take at the gaming world."
Portal is one of the most original games I have ever played. Just the sheer concept of being able to use portals completely to your disposal is incredible. When I played this awesome game for the first time, I was simply blinded by awe and wonder of how incredibly interesting and original this triumph to the gaming world was! I instantly forgot about all my other favorite games that used to take up all of my gaming life and played this game. This game puts a completely new name on awesomeness! Every little detail in this game was pixel perfect! There was absolutely nothing wrong with this game all the way through! Even today, almost 8 months since I purchased this 8'Th wonder of the world, I am still completely stunned by how utterly perfect this game is! The feels and atmosphere in this game are one-of-a-kind! The puzzles are incredibly original and inspire new and un-thought of concepts every 20 seconds! This game is sheer perfection! Are you not convinced yet? Well, let me break it up to you peace by peace of how great this game is.
[Story: 10/10.]
The plotline starts very simple. You are a test subject for a new portal technology; you are basically a lab rat. You do certain puzzles and portal techniques to get to the elevator that brings you to the next level. But later on you find out that you were not the first one here. There have been other people here, desperate to escape, before you. From that point on, the game slowly gets creepier and creepier. You will have to experience it for yourself to fully understand.
[Gameplay: 10/10.]
Come on! Why does 10/10 HAVE to be the highest score? Because 10/10 is hardly good enough a score to explain just how simply incredible the gameplay is! Each puzzle slowly gets harder and more interesting, forcing you to look at your surroundings trying to figure out a way to succeed. This game constantly keeps you on your feet and constantly keeps your brain working. This game just doesn't give you a break! It is straightforward action from beginning to end! This game simply has the best gameplay I have ever seen.
[Difficulty Satisfaction: 10/10.]
The difficulty level in this game is perfect! It never gets so hard that you want to through the game on the ground, and it is never so easy you just get bored. This game constantly keeps it right in the center of what you would want the difficulty to be!
[Atmosphere: 10/10]
Yet again, I wish that the score could go higher than 10/10! The mixing atmospheres in this game blend perfectly! Portal is creepy, funny and tense. This game is never a horror scary, it is just kind of creepy sometimes. It is kind of a mysterious what happened here? kind of creepy.
This game is so funny I have just had to pause my game and sit there laughing at some of the things that the computer says. Every singly line that GLaDOS says to you throughout the game is insanely funny in a very dark and creepy way. But as funny as everything is in this game, it has a strange dark seriousness to it. I have honestly never seen anything like it in my entire life.
[Music: 10/10.]
Every song in the game was perfect for what kind of moment it was. When it was meant to be creepy, the game plays the most perfect creepy songs I have ever heard! When it is meant to be engaging, the music perfects the atmosphere! Just like most other things in this game, you just have to see it to believe it.
[Length: 7/10.]
Ah, alas! We now come to the only not perfect thing in this game, the game's length. This game is no longer than 3 hour long from beginning to end. Though, the replay value makes up for everything.
[Replay Value: 10/10.]
This game has so much replay value; you will be playing hundreds of hours more than the initial 3-hour-long story mode. This game has more than 10 hours of challenge levels to complete! And of course, you will have fun every time you play the story mode! The perfect atmosphere that this game has never fades away no matter how many times you complete this game. It is also fun to see what secondary ways there are to complete each puzzle.
[Overall: 10/10.]
I can safely say that Portal is one of the greatest games ever made. If you have never played Portal before, it is not a game you should miss out on.
