"Going Up?"
Gameplay-10/10
A unique game, overshadowed by all the other numerous Sim game titles out there. What you do is to become a five star hotel through adding on to a building and managing your money budget and salary. It is a unique game, one of a kind, a revolution, well sort of. There could have been a lot more variety in Sim Tower. They should have put a larger collection of shops and restauraunts. But all of the Sim titles availiable have the same accessory problem. But there are a lot of good and fun features in Sim Tower. The only problem is that the game is too easy once you get the hang of it.
Graphics-7/10
The graphics could have been much improved upon it its time. The people were too small, the buildings were not detailed enough, and they should not have made the view of the buildings two dimentional. The sky and the transfer from day to night is excellent. I really enjoyed that little addition.
Audio-8/10
What bugs me about Sim Tower is that there are no musical tunes or musical tracks in Sim Tower. Maxis should have known better on this one. The sound effects are good, but they can get irritating and annoying at times. A lot of the sound effects in Sim Tower were unnescesary. It does not sound good when you have a million different sound effects blaring at once.
Replay-6/10
You may want to play this game again, depending on whether you enjoyed Sim Tower or not. I keep playing it, only because I want to manage the tower with a different variety of stores, shops, and offices. Too bad Maxis did not put a lot of detail and variety into the places. I wish they would have done that with Sim Tower. That would have made me give this game a nine out of ten, instead of eight.
Overall-8/10 (Not An Average)
This game may be worth a purchase, depending on whether you like strategy games, or depending on whether you are a big fan of the Sim titles. Sim Tower is a fun game at times, but can get really irritating at times. You may want to purchase Sim Tower. Like many people, I believe that the Sim game series was beaten into the ground.
