Review by DonkeyKong87

"A Great game with wonderful gameplay."

Oni is basically an Action game for the PC made by Bungie Entertainment. You play as Konoko, a special agent from the year 2032, she fights the Syndicate, an mob-like terorist group that manufactures illegal weapons among other unscrupulous things. As you progress through the game you learn that you can't trust anyone, even your own.

Graphics: 8/10

The graphics don't aren't perfect but they are pretty good. You can clearly see everything on the screen, near and far. The camera angles can get kind of tricky during fights throughout the game, but that's only if the enemy gets behind you. A helpful feature in the game are color flashes which tells you how much HP your opponent has left. Green is pretty full, yellow is about halfway empty, and red is almost dead. There is a large red flash when the enemy dies.

Gameplay: 10/10

This game does a fantastic job in all of it's aspects of gameplay. There are many moves that can be used in fights such as the haymaker, rising fury, and willow kick. Even though there are a lot of moves to choose from I use the Haymaker all day to beat the enemies up all time because it's the best :D. There is just as much variety in guns as there is in moves. They range from the super powerful Mercury Bow to the basic issue Campbell Equalizer Mk4.

Control: 8/10

Note: When I talk about control I'm talking about Keyboard, not joystick because I don't have a joystick, thus I can't review their control.

The controls take a little while to get used to but after a while they are great. The combos (except for the Haymaker, which is incredibly easy to pull off) aren't easy to pull off, but they aren't impossibly hard to pull off either. All of the buttons used are all up in the upper right part of the keyboard. Over all the controls are pretty good, but not great.

Storyline: 10/10

The storyline in this game is absolutely spectacular! The storyline of this game could be taken and turned into a movie it is so good. There are twists and turns in the plot and of course in movies, action is always a plus :). I like the storyline because it keeps you interested in the game even if the gameplay isn't, which I might add as I have told you before is excellent.

This game is definitely one to buy because of the great gameplay and storyline.
