The Sims: House Party
Review by SS Nappa
"A game that goes on and on"
Welcome to my The Sims: House Party Review. This game is great and it's really worth buying. Why, I'll tell you.
WHAT IS THE SIMS: HOUSE PARTY?
It's a great expansion pack to The Sims and The Sims: Livin' Large. It allows you to organize a party, using about 100 cool new objects. You also have many new unplayable characters. And believe me, partying is great!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BEAT THE GAME?
You can't really beat this game. You and your Sims can live on forever. But you CAN get better, richer and stuff.
GAMEPLAY 10/10
Well, nothing really new about that. It's just the same as in the previous two games. You just control your Sims and try to make them happy and rich. Sounds simple, if that's so, simple rules!
STORY 8/10
There is no real story here, you just need to build a house, move people into it, let them make money to get better stuff so they'll be happier. THAT's the whole story in one sentence.
AUDIO 10/10
The pause sounds haven't really changed, but the radio and DJ Turntable have brand new music, like Hawaii and surfmusic. I don't say the old songs weren't good, this is just better. The music also decides the style of the party.
GRAPHICS 7/10
I like the graphics, but it could have been better. What I mean to say is: The Sims is an old game. Not that old, but old. So the graphics aren't superb for this time. It's still great but not perfect. Example: Somebody grabs some food and turns around. The plate just goes through the person behind him. Or people walk just through each other. But it's still great.
REPLAYABILITY: YES
You'll get hooked to this game. You will play it very much if you buy it. It won't last forever, but very very very long, trust me. To make the play time even longer, don't use codes! You are almost done at the beginning when using codes. It's much more fun to get a job and save money and get better stuff. And upgrade and upgrade...
BUY OR RENT?
Definitely buy. You can play on for months and months, perhaps even years. If you rent it, you don't want to return it, get my drift? So buy it, the average price should be around $ 30 - $ 50.
OVERALL (on average) 9/10
This game is really worth buying. It wasn't perfect because of the story that wasn't really there and the graphics too. But please, don't let this stop you from buying this game! If you don't have it already, get it NOW!
