Tropico

"Good Game, Great Music"

Tropico is a great new game from Poptop Software and Gathering of Developers (G.O.D). This game does something that no other game has done before; it makes you the ruler of a third world nation. The genius behind this game is simple, make the game simple, but make it hard to master. There are some not so great things that I think need improvement, such as the road system, make unfinished buildings a little more visible, and a more informative tutorial would have been nice. Otherwise, this game is great.

Now... down to the nitty gritty.

Graphics - One word, Nice. They are a big improvement over other sim games like Sim City 3000. There isn't any ''eye sore'' graphics, but the unfinished buildings thing was a bit of an issue.

Graphics - 9

Sound/Music - GREATNESS. Popcap and GOD really made the music in the game spectacular. It was the first thing I noticed, and impressed me the most about the game. I couldn't stop listening to it!!! Plus I bought the game at Best Buy, so it came with a cd labeled ''Tropico - The Music.'' There are 3 tracks on this cd but they are all great. The Latin beat is great, and who cares if you can't understand any of the lyrics, it is still great. I now keep this cd in my car so I can listen to it everywhere I go. The sound was good too, but the music is what really gives it top scores.

Sound/Music - 10

Game play - Not much bad to say here, but it could have been better. The Railroad Tycoon 2 interface has had a massive overhaul is looks great here. I'm not actually sure if they used the Railroad Tycoon 2 engine, but it sure looks similar. The people in the game up the score here, they are virtually all different, and you'll almost never see two people with the same name or characteristics.

Game play - 9

Replay - Not sure yet, because I haven't put the game down, but if I stop playing this game and come back to it in a year, I know I’ll pick right up where I left off.

Buy or Borrow? Buy, but if u aren't into the sim games, maybe u should borrow it, but I love it 2 death.
Are there any more categories? Well this is all I could think of.
Overall - 10 (actually, it is 9.5, but no fractions or decimals)
