"Post Nuclear War: What could be cooler?"

Introduction:

It's been 80 long years since your ancestor trod the wastelands. As you search for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit to save your primitive village, your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants, and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery. You begin to wonder if anyone really stands to gain anything from this brave new world.

Mastering your character's skills and traits for survival, Fallout 2 will challenge you to endure in a post-nuclear world whose future withers with every passing moment...
Now that's an intro

Graphics:8/10
Fallout 2's graphics are not groundbreaking by any means but do deliver dark and mood-setting visuals to keep you playing for hours on end. The 2D sprites look surprisingly detailed. This goes to show you that there is no need for fancy 3D graphics to make a good game. This was made before game companies *cough*square*cough* started caring more about graphics than story line or gameplay

Sound:9/10
What can I say? Nearly flawless music with great sound effects. The only problem is the fact that you can sometimes here the music loop. I don't know about you but that really annoys the hell out of me.

Gameplay:10/10
Sorry to use the cliche:''Easy to learn yet hard to master'' but it perfectly describe this game. The controls are simple enough for the novices to pick right up on but it will take a while for them to master the game. It's a simple ''point and click'' interface. Everything you need to know is right there on the screen including a quick reference sheet (F1) for all the button commands.

Story:10/10
The story is one of the best for any RPG. I mean what could be cooler than a post nuclear war setting?

Replayability:10/10
The non-linear will keep you coming back for more time after time. The best factor of this game is the fact that you don’t have to follow any sort of story. You can pretty much do what you want when you want to. One of the coolest aspects of this game is the Karma system. It ranks your goodness and evil factors. The more people you kill, the lower your Karma; the more good deed you do the higher the Karma. Simple right?

Reviewer's Tilt:10/10
I love this game. Enough said. I was a big fan of the first one. I’m a bigger fan of the second one. My hat’s off to you Black Isle.

The Verdict:10/10
It actually comes out at like 9.5 or something but I rounded up :P.
