Corsairs

"A game of pirates that may have went down with the ship..."

Well, in this game you sail around a big map with slow ships. You start with one ship carrying your corsair, and your objective is to gain a fleet of ships by taking harbors and taking ships by ramming them, without killing your corsair. Not an easy game, but addictive.I really like it but I'm not sure how many people out there agree with me. It seems to be a rare game but if you do find a copy, and you have extra money, grab it.

GAMEPLAY

Well, the control is nice with simple point and click interface. There's allot of exploration, though your speed is very limited. It can be fun when you get into it, but I wouldn't say it's for a hard to please crowd when it comes to fun factor. I'd give it a 4 out of a possible 10.

STORY

There is no real story, all there was to it was gain messages from ports and do what they say. in the story factor I would give it a 2 out of a possible 10.

AUDIO/VIDEO

On the audio, if you like pirate type music, this is your game. It also has allot of comments that can be amusing during boarding. I like the sound effects, hearing the wind hit the waves and the gulls calling out. I'd give the Audio a 10 out of a possible 10. The Video, on the other hand, is not half as good as the Audio. I like the way the waves move, but when the wind blows one way, that water never changes direction. I like the way they added the gulls and clouds, though it is small. When it comes to the boarding I'm not to big on the graphics, due to the fact it looks like it was taken from Warcraft II.I'd have to give the graphics a 4 out of a possible 10.

REPLAYABILITY

Honestly, it has a high replay ratio, due to the fact it is very addicting. I caught myself starting a game at 2PM and when I looked at the clock next it was 5PM.the replay ratio is extremely high and I would give it a 10 out of a possible 10.

TO BUY OR TO RENT

Well, I have yet to see a place that rents out PC games, so it is a buy, but only if you like pirates and the graphic interface of Warcraft II. I wouldn't run out an buy this as fast as you can, but all I can say is give it a try, you might like it.
