"Simply amazing."

Im almost speechless.It's hard to define a great game like this.Problem is,you see,you've got your Counterstrike people and you've got your Team Fortress Classic people.Two very different breeds,and only a few people I know like both.If your in to more strategic play where,if you screw up or happen to be in a game with an opponent who can snipe you while blindfolded and in an entirely different map,then you'll have to wait ten minutes for the next round to start,then CS is for you.If you'd rather have team based play,with some gung-ho Rambo style play and base defense thrown into it,then TFC is the place to look.It's all in the person.Make no mistake about it though,TFC is one hell of a MOD for Half-Life.If you get into it,it will never let you go...

Gameplay/Classes (10/10)

Totally flawless.Where to start?Hm.Well,right.No worries about controls,as those are coustomizeable to your desires. Gameplay is team based. It always helps if you communicate well with your teammates.Tell them where you are,if an enemy got by you,where he's headed,enemy positions,etc.The objective of most of the maps in TFC is to simply capture the flag.Well,I shouldn't say ''simply''.It's almost never simple.Sometimes whole teams are required.Hell,I always play defense,and I know I dont make it easy for the enemy to come and get MY flag without a fight.Yes,Sentry Gun's and Soldiers will stand in your way.You have to out-wit and out last your opponents to even see that glorious flag.Getting it back is a whole different story.Other maps in TFC are just as challenging.There's the ''Hunted'' map,where one team must stop another team of Snipers from gunning down a single civilian while escorting him to an escape vehicle.There's also a map where you try to capture all the command points, one where you try to push through the enemy defenses to reach the goal,and another where you have to snatch all the flags on the map and hoard them all in your base.All of the maps range from medium to expansive in size,allowing for some fun sniping and hiding places,as well as wide open areas for straight-up shootouts.
The class types themselves are many and varied.Each has a certian strength and weakness;

Spy-The spy is an odd class.He can disguise himself to look like any other class,friend or foe.The catch is,if someone on the Red team see's another Red soldier running OUT of the Blue base without being fired upon,then they suspect something,and you get gunned down quickly.Brains are better than brawn.The spy has an instant kill weapon,too.The knife.The downside being that you have to be rubbing against someone to use it,and you loose your disguise afterwards.Bummer.

Scout-The fastest class in TFC.This guy simply BLAZES across the map faster than the eye can see.He can also see enemy spies coming.Downside?Lowest armor and weakest enemy.If you fall down,your not getting back up again.

Pyro-Duh.This guy wields a blowtorch and a rocket launcher that fires heat shells.The good side of this class,is that those flames obscure your vision.It's hard to see when your on fire.The pyro is fairly slow,but has average armor.

Soldier-Standard fodder.He carries a rocket launcher and standard grenades,as well as the rather annoying ''nail grenade'',a grenade that spins in the air and sprays nails across a room.Good for ridding places of weak opponents.The downside is that he's nothing special.Just average.

Heavy Weapons Guy-The sloooowest and biggest target in all of TFC.He has the highest armor,and powerfull grenades,as well as the chaingun,that can rip anyone to pieces.Easy pickings for Snipers and Engineers though,as well as anyone with the skill to circle strafe around him.A good choice for newbies.

Sniper-The other stealth class.You've got to hide when your playing the sniper.He has low armor,and very few grenades,but that sniper rifle is nothing to mess with.You can ''charge'' your shots and if you manage to get a head shot then it results in an instant kill.Always be on the lookout for the sniper.

Engineer-My favorite class.Great for base defense.Engies can build Sentry Guns with any spare ammo lying around.These babies automaticly seek and attempt to destroy anything that they see,making the engie invaluble for defending the flag.Engies are good on offense,too,with thier EMP grenades,that do more damage with the amount of explosives it reacts to.The engie has fairly weak normal weapons,though,and average armor.

Demolitions Expert- The demo guy is a great asset to any team.He can blow holes open in terrain to create shortcuts,and scatter pipebombs down infront of the flag,setting them off at his will.Downside?VERY reactive to EMP's and fairly low armor.

Medic-Another class that is a must have on the front lines.These guys are quick and make great flag runners.The medic can heal his teammates or ''infect'' the enemy,so he looses health every few seconds,and can pass it on to others by touching them.He can also heal said infections,and carries a super nail gun with him.Despite his speed,his weapons are somewhat lacking,and he has low armor.

On-Line/Graphics/Sound (7/10)

Well,it depends on your computer and your session.The graphics and sound improve as your system improves.That might be costly.Well,no worries.Playing well with others might be a chore at times,though.Im sure you know as well as I do that there are some strange and annoying people out there,and they just love to ruin your good time.Spamming,flaming, and otherwise annoying behavior can ruin your game.It's all dependant on who you play with.
